I was showing our home to a couple prior to their stay when they said that the home was bucolic: 'All the pleasant aspects of the countryside located in one place.' This says it all! We want your stay to exceed your expectations.
Enjoy this spacious open floor plan log home with breathtaking views of The Catskill's and The Berkshires! The Master bedroom includes a large walk-in closet, private bath, and a walk out deck. The home also features a loft bedroom which overlooks the Great Room with your our private bath. The home would be perfect for two couples to share the cost, have plenty of room to spend together and your own privacy. From the loft enjoy your coffee in bed and the view of The Catskills. Listen closely and you will hear several sound of country living.
Our front landscaping allows you a full visual of children running/playing and now that the snow has come -our guests have told us - 'What a great sledding hill we have!'

Rented this beautiful Hillsdale Log Home for the weekend. Pictures do not show how beautiful this home actually is. Just perfect! Jeanne and David (the owners) are the nicest people. So informative and helpful. I wouldn't have changed anything.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family and I had a wonderful time. Although we arrived very late at night Jeanne and her husband met us to help us find their lovely home. I felt at home the whole time we were there. The views are exceptional. We did go into the city one day which was a quick train ride from near by Poughkeepsie. Jeanne has thought of everything and was always available to answer any questions. The only thing I did miss having was a washing machine, (we had some wet snow clothes) but who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway! The pictures do not do the house justice. My son went out on the deck every night to watch the deer in the yard. One night there were 10! We had a wonderful time and hope to go back in the summer! The house is beautiful, impeccably kept and full of warmth. We couldn't have dreamt of a better place to spend Thanksgiving. Jeanne even decorated the house for the occasion! We cooked in the fantastically appointed kitchen, relaxed and enjoyed the great mountain views from the living area. The location is perfect for exploring the area, with Rhinebeck and Hudson a short drive away and countless parks and lakes for hiking or just taking in the natural beauty of the region. We will definitely recommend this house to our friends and would love to come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Definitely exceeded our expectations, probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed. The house was very comfortable, roomy and new with a lot of amenities and well stocked. Relatively close to Hudson and Rhinebeck, about 20 minutes or so away. Would definitely come back for another visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I have rented a lot of vacation properties and the owner of this property is the friendliest, most accomodating host I have ever encountered! She is incredibly friendly, very prompt with her replies, offers a lot of helpful suggestions and goes out of her way to make sure that your needs are addressed. We cannot say enough about this delightful secluded home. Our stay at this home far exceeded our expectations. The owner was very helpful and this home is kept immaculate. We enjoyed out days hiking and exploring, as well as adventuring thru nearby towns of Hudson and RhInebeck. It was a short drive to have a day of swimming at Lake Tagkanic State Park. At the house we were able to relax while grilling and taking in the mountain views at the same time. We can totally see ourselves coming back in the near future. Thanks again for a an awesome getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
