Best Neighborhood in Denver! Mother in Law Unit
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Fully stocked kitchen, seperate entrance, king bed in bedroom, living room with flatscreen TV, cable and DVD player. Free WIFI. Shared laundry room and backyard with BBQ and patio furniture. Second bedroom with queen bed (the extra bedroom is located on the other side of the furnace room - to the left of the stairs when you walk in - not a big deal, unless you have children you would like in the immediately adjoining room). Bathroom is 3/4 and does not have a bathtub - shower only, it is small but serves it's purpose.
The entryway is in the mature backyard, with half a flight of stairs down to the apartment. You walk into the dining area, where there is a small dining table and chairs for 4. To the right of that is the shared laundry room, and to the left, a galley kitchen. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, gas stove and coffee pot. Full sets of dishes, pots and pans, silverware, spices and basic cooking necessities. (Anything else you need? Just ask!) Other small kitchen appliances (crock pot, food processor, blender and juicer) are also available.
Through the kitchen is the living room with attached bedroom and next to the bedroom is the bathroom. The living room contains brand new carpet, lots of new, comfortable furniture, a flatscreen TV with DVD player. The main bedroom is also newly carpeted and furnished with a brand new Serta iComfort king size VERY comfortable bed. The additional bedroom also has a premium queen size bed.
While the apartment is cozy and comfortable, the location is what really shines if you like to get out and explore your neighborhood!
3 blocks from the Louisiana/Pearl lightrail station makes for easy access to downtown or DTC. Great neighborhood with lots of great shops and restaurants (Hanson's Bar and Grill, Sushi Den, Izakaya Den, The Black Pearl, Gaia Bistro, The Duffeyroll Cafe, The Village Cork, Three Monkeys Cantina, Pasquini's, Kaos Pizza, Sexy Pizza, Stella's Coffee, Pajama Bakery and MORE ) and a Whole Foods within walking distance, as well as a quick walk to Washington Park. You could easily stay here without a car and make your way all over Denver with convenient public transportation. Also close to DU.
Perfect for visiting family or traveling professionals - cook your own meals and have your own space! The only parking is on the street but there is usually plenty of it.
Prices are negotiable based on specific needs and timeframe. Let me know what you need and we can work something out! I am also open to pets but would need to discuss specifics.
I have finally gotten the place fully furnished as you can see in the pictures. I still have a little bit of decorating to do, but all the furniture and basic necessities are ready to go.
There are stairs so this is not handicap accessible.
I do live in the upstairs unit so request no crazy parties!

Sheila is a great host. Neighborhood is charming and convenient - easy walk to train and local stores and cafes. We were moving to Denver, and this area was a great intro to the city. Apartment cozy and pretty. Beds very good, furniture all comfortable, TV and connectivity excellent. Bathroom, especially shower, a little small. Basement living - probably really comfy in summer - cool and access to patio. In winter, a little closed-in feeling and patio less accessible (but was sunny and dry some days, so we did sit outside when we could, and it was great.) But apartment overall well-lit and decorated, and we enjoyed it.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I recently rented this property for an extended stay in Denver. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the Old South Pearl Street district which is home to some of Denver's best restaurants and friendly watering holes. A RTD light rail station was only 3 blocks away for ventures into downtown, though I rarely left the neighborhood as everything I needed was nearby - groceries from Whole Foods, coffee from Stella's, fresh baked cinnamon rolls from Duffy's, the best burger ever courtesy of Hanson's Bar & Grill, and $2 local micro brews and live acoustic music on the patio at Kaos Pizzeria. The next morning, after a good night's rest, I could work off all those calories in one of Denver's best places for an early morning/late afternoon jog - Washington Park. The rental itself was extremely comfortable with all the amenities one would expect from a 4-5 star hotel...but better. I had use of a full kitchen to cook homemade meals, a relaxing back yard to read the local paper or enjoy the sunshine, and plenty of space to lounge about. For the rate, it was WAY more bang for my buck. The property was clean, well taken care of, and cozy. The owner was friendly and easy to work with and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or relative. In fact, I wouldn't stay anywhere else next time I visit Denver.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this unit for family we had visiting and it worked out great. We walked to the Old South Pearl shopping district almost daily for coffee or food. (Gaia is now one of my favorite restaurants in Denver!) It's also walking distance to light rail, so we were able to get in and out of downtown Denver with no problem. And the 2 nights we stayed in were super relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and since the weather was so nice we were able to sit out in the cute backyard. Clean and comfy place. Overall a good visit and great jumping off point for showing our family around Denver. Will definitely use this place again for visitors!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I am relatively new to Denver but here to stay! I grew up in Montana and lived in San Francisco for over 5 years before moving to Denver. For me, it is the perfect balance. I love the outdoors but also all of the amenities a large city has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Denver:
I purchased this property because of the amazing location and also the rental income potential. I have been renting the apartment for the past two years on a full time rental basis and am now interested in trying the vacation rental route. My mother and sister both have VRBOs and they enjoy it.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I cannot stress the location enough. Living in San Francisco gave me an appreciation for having a walkable neighborhood and that is one major thing I was looking for. Being able to walk to one of the most popular and beautiful parks in the city for people watching, tennis, or a run. Being two blocks from shopping, dining and a cozy wine bar is great. Having such easy access to the light rail to go downtown for either business or a sporting event, even better!
