The compound is comprised of a three bedroom, two bath farmhouse, a four bed bunkhouse with toilet, and a renovated barn with loft that sleeps from four to six. The barn has its own kitchen and full bath with an additional outdoor shower - a summer luxury! It's a perfect property for an extended family, or for two families who want to vacation together, but still want privacy. Included are internet, gas grill, beach chairs, all bedding and towels. Maid service is available. We subscribe to ''summer rules'' - replenish whatever you use from alcohol to laundry detergent!

Additional information about rental rates
A deposit of 50% of the total rent will be due when the signed lease is returned to us. The balance of the rent will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. We will also collect a refundable security deposit of $1000, which will be returned to you once the house has been inspected after your stay.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: My family has been coming to Martha's Vineyard since the 1940's! It is a very special place for us. Our kids have attended camp in Chilmark, and both work here during the summer. We currently live in Bedford, New York, and are counting the days until summer on The Vineyard!
Why the Owner Chose Chilmark:
Middle Road has always been a focal point of the area in Chilmark because of the breath taking views. The combination of pasture and ocean setting is unique. We used to admire it each time we road our bikes past. The previous owners had been here for generations, but we used to dream about 'what if...' When it came on the market, we couldn't believe our luck! The annual Chilmark Road Race passes our house each August - we have the best view from the deck at the top of the property!

The compound aspects of the property assures that we can have lots of friends and family with us, and everyone can still have their privacy.
