  This cottage was perfect for my husband and I, as the name says, it was Just Enough. It is a beautiful little 2-story house in Coral Bay, only a 25 minute drive from Cruz bay and just a few minutes away from Salt Pond Bay and the East end. There is a little kitchenette on the first floor that has everything you can possibly need to prepare even a complicated and extensive meal. We cooked breakfast almost every single day and made dinner one of the evenings, so you’ll have enough pots, pans, silverware and everything else. The deck goes all the way around the house and is extremely nice. The first floor also has a mini library of books, plenty of books on St. John and the islands trails and beaches and even speakers for your ipod or iphone, so playing your own tunes is not a problem. The second floor, which includes the bedroom and bathroom, is connected to the first story via a staircase that’s outside. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the bathroom is stocked with shower products and clean towels. Inside the drawers, you’ll find a first-aid kit, a hair fan and some other essentials one may need, so look around. We even found some aloe vera and sunscreen! There is also a TV and a case full of DVD’s with a pretty good selection of movies. If you have AT&T as your cell provider, the house gets great reception, so you can easily make calls or use the WIFI for internet connection. Overall, we had an incredibly pleasant experience and are so very happy we chose this cottage as our accommodation. It is secluded and pretty private, despite being located right next to the New Moon cottage. It is not huge, but has plenty of space for anything you might need, and has all the essential comforts with lots of personal touches. The managers of the property, Clark and Cathy, are helpful and responsive. There is a decent variety of restaurants that are within a 3 minute drive of the cottage, however nothing on St. John is really far away. I would definitely rent here again if I come back to St. John!

  My wife and I have just returned home from our second two week stay at the “Just Enough” cottage in Coral Bay, and we are already homesick to return to this wonderful cottage on the beautiful and magical island of St. John. The description and photos on the website are a very good representation of the cottage and its’ amenities, but they don’t tell you of the black star swept skies that await you in the evening, or the thunderous chorus of jungle sounds that fill the night after an evening rain shower. We loved the cozyness of the cottage, the comfort of the bed after spending the day snorkelling and hiking, the gentle tropical breezes that bathed us each night, and the iguanas, tree frogs, bananakeets, and deer that visited us during our stay. We thank Tim and Jane for sharing their beautiful cottage with us, and Catherine for her thoughtfulness in ensuring that everything was taken care of during our stay.

  We spent one week in late November at 'Just Enough'. After a long haul flight from Europe it was great to be met by the very friendly and helpful property manager, Cathy. The cottage far surpassed any expectations. It is incredibly peaceful with the most tremendous views to which photographs can't quite do justice. We loved to sit on the deck in the evening listening to the critters and watching the boats bobbing in the water down in the bay. We found the space to be immaculate, and more than ample for a couple. It really seems to have been lovingly designed. We had a peek in the door of 'New Moon' next door and while it is also a really lovely property, we definitely preferred the aspect of Just Enough. And while there are a few properties close by, the surrounding trees ensure you still enjoy great privacy. The island of St John is paradise on earth, and 'Just Enough' is a superb value property which I would have to hesitation in recommending to my nearest and dearest. We dream of returning.

  Just Enough was everything we could have asked for while vacationing in St. John. Locationally, it is secluded enough so you can have your privacy but is only a couple of minutes from local restaurants and shops so you can go out and experience the island! The cottage is perfect for a couple that is looking to relax, take in the scenery, and explore. Our days consisted of exploring the island, coming back to cocktails and home cooking on the deck and going out to listen to live music after dinner. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and the living space & bedroom are cozy and clean. Also, our trip wouldn't have been the same without the awesome CD collection of local music that was a constant in the background as we lounged around after a long day! My boyfriend and I have traveled all over and we tell everyone that Just Enough & St. John was our favorite vacation spot - hands down! We can't wait to go back some day!

  Thank you for making our first (and definitely not last) trip to St. John a very enjoyable and memorable one! Just Enough was peaceful and lovely. The cottage's location was perfect...easy to get to with a 4x4, but just outside the main town that it's quiet! Just what we needed on a vacation. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Can't wait to return soon!

  I've stayed at "Just Enough" in St. John four times and couldn't have been happier with each of my experiences. The cottage is so quaint, and I love how it's tucked away in the woods near Coral Bay. My favorite moments at "Just Enough" were spent on the large wrap around porch sipping coffee in the mornings, while looking at the gorgeous water in the distance. Staying in Coral Bay is such a nice change of pace from the busier town of Cruz Bay, and is only a 20 minute drive. "Just Enough" had everything we needed to have a great vacation- it was clean, had a full kitchen, a lovely bathroom and a great bedroom with a great view.Overall, I love St. John and "Just Enough" and can't wait to go back!

  Just Enough was the perfect, tree house getaway for our vacation. It is minimalist in it's design and was clearly built with love. It is thoughtfully stocked with everyone you need. During our trip we experienced more rain than anticipated which left us more time to enjoy the cottage itself. One note is that the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor (same floor as the bedroom.) Not a problem for us, but worth noting if mobility is an issue. Great fun watching the slow moving iguanas hide in the trees while overlooping the beautiful Bay! Absolutely no hesitation recommending this rental highly and we would gladly return to rent again ourselves. You can't go wrong.

  We stayed in Just Enough and our sister and brother inlaw stayed in New Moon. Perfect combo of privacy when we wanted it, but dinners together every night. And the houses are simply pieces of art in beautiful wood! Loved iourbtime there.

  We stayed at Just Enough for a week in early June for our wedding. It was very secluded, and very nice. Extraordinarily clean and the caretakers were great to work with. As it was just a few minutes drive out of Coral Bay, we were able to enjoy the local establishments and explore the east end with ease. I have stayed at other villas on St. John, and I found this to be very nice and very economical. We definately will stay again. Thanks for making our wedding and honeymoon so nice!

  Just wanted to clarify the previous review that states we do not have windows -- there are windows throughout the house, but they are screened (rather than glass) to allow for the tropical breezes to pass through.
