Stay and play is a vintage 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath single story home. Built in 1947 this charming cottage has beautiful character and comfort. Walk out the driveway and head right down the street and you are at Cornet bay Deception pass state park with direct beach access, phenomenal views of the bay, goose rock,boat launches within a quarter mile, incredible gazebo/deck, and yard with plenty of room for yard games, and so much more. Conveniently located between Oak Harbor and the Deception pass bridge.
This cottage is surounded by stunning Deception pass State park. With over 4000 acres and nearly 40 miles of trails.
This is a new vacation rental set up with luxury that the owner dreamed of for his personal use. Plenty of updates have been added to the cottage including outdoor fire pit, new HDTV in main living room and both bedrooms, high speed Internet, cable TV, cd stereo, outdoor seating for 10+ guest, new propane BBQ, a huge sectional couch in the main room as well as two fold down leather couches that each can sleep two, game room with games, card table, slot machine, and so much more. Pets are allowed with a pet fee. Outdoor smoking is permitted but please stay 15 feet away from door openings. Enjoy this relaxing, comfortable, well supplied cottage in a incredible setting.

During peak months, enjoy access to yard games, 2 mountain bikes, kayaks, crab pots, and fishing gear.

Each bedroom has new sleigh beds with new pillow top mattresses and all of the comfy bedding to go with them. Each room has a view from the beds of Cornet bay.

Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening toast while sitting in a weather protected gazebo with stunning views of Cornet bay. Relax on the deck/patio with drinks and friends while grilling the days catch. The State park docks are located about five hundred yards to the right fish, crab, and enjoy boats coming in and out. Fishing and crabbing is allowed from the docks.

For those fishing enthusiast the boat launch is within walking distance of the cottage. Launch your boat and within minutes be making your way towards the San Juan's.

Deception state park is within 1 mile to the north walk and enjoy or hop in your car continue north to Anacortes for the ferry to San Juan Islands and Victoria.

We know you will enjoy the cottage surrounded by such beauty. Wonderful place to bring family and friends yet ideal for a romantic getaway. This location has so many activates but don't forget to let this cottage help you unwind.

Clean, Fully functional, plenty of recreation

Well worth the money, wish we could have stayed longer, located in one of the most beautiful parts of WA. Dennis had spa ready for our use as soon as we arrived. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities. Highly recommended property.

Really nice house, owner high-maintenance

This is a lovely house, but the rental of it was not easy. The owner is not aware that Home Away sends check-in information. When I texted him for the physical address, I didn't bother asking for the lock box code as it was included in the Home Away email. However, unbeknownst to me, this code hasn't been updated by the owner and so did not work at 10pm in the dark as we tried to get the key out of the lock box and get into our rental. There is no mobile data in this neighborhood and spotty cell coverage. Getting in contact with the owner was difficult. Getting him to understand why we had an incorrect code was difficult: "Are you arguing with me?" While the hot tub is included in the overview of the rental, you must ask the owner to use it. (key is hidden) I listened to a lecture about how a recent renter got grass clippings in it and lost his deposit. There is a list of ways in the house in which you can lose your deposit including overuse of plumbing/overrunning the sewer. We did not get grass in the hot tub and received our deposit back, via a paper check mailed to my house rather than back on our credit card which of course was how we paid. If you can deal with those negatives, then this is a really nice house: hot tub-by far the nicest one I've ever seen; awesome, big leather couch, big tv in living room; WIFI good; really lovely dining room; kitchen-small and has a really weird layout, not an easy kitchen to prep food in. Two pretty bedrooms, high-quality linens and mattresses.

Perfect!

The property was so nice and perfect for our party of two couples and one child. Everything we needed was there and the propery had great extras like the bikes, kayaks and the hot tub. The hot tub, which was new, had a bluetooth so we could listen to our music on the speakers! The water is right across the street and we were less than a mile from the Deception Pass State Park. We will certainly be visiting here again and highly recommend this property.

Fun, comfy, clean

We had such a great time at this property. My family enjoyed all the games, kayaks, bikes, hot tub etc. which was so nice that they had all of that there for us to use. This home is in such a perfect location for outdoor fun, and the ferry to the San Juan islands is just 15 min up the road. We loved Orcas Island FYI. You really can't go wrong staying at this property!
