    • Occidental is a hidden gem. Quail Forest is perfect for 1-4 people. It is very quiet and private--at the end of a private lane. You can have the best of all worlds--being in a cozy apartment (it is less rustic than a cabin) with wireless internet and wonderful pastries delivered to your door (part of room rate)-- while being surrounded by pristine nature: there are quail and many beautiful redwood trees. If you go in the summer the pool is lovely. Terri is very welcoming of children, which we were grateful for. There are a number of great places to eat minutes from her cabin and in nearby Sebastopol the marvelous bookstore Copperfields, great homemade ice cream at Screaming Mimis and lots else. We have stayed at Quail Forest Cabin twice and hope to return again this summer.

    • Neville Andrews writes from Tewkesbury England about Quail Forest Cabins. It was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place, and Terri Avillar looked after us very well. The cabin was very comfortable, and the heated swim-pool was a delight. Would that she could relocate to England, so we could stay more often!

    • We just returned from a very relaxing three days at Terri's cabin. To have the pristine pool all to ourselves is beyond belief. Terri is attentive to all details and sets up everything just for the comfort of her guests...can't wait to return!

    • Truly the perfect getaway! Glorious weather, a gracious and hospitable host, breath-taking surrounds and your very own cabin in the woods - what more could one ask for? My husband and I had the pleasure of staying 8 nights at the Quail Forest Cabin in August '06 and it certainly exceeded all our expectations! The photos on the website don't do it justice! The cabin inself was thoughtfully appointed, super clean and new! A fridge stocked with premium organic juices, bottled water and thoughtful groceries to start your day greeted us on arrival. The host, Terri is a lovely, warm lady who is so pleasant to talk to and she will willingly give you tips about the fasinating area and it's highlights! (And there are many!) Bake by the brand-new pool while you listen to the rustling of the leaves of the giant Redwood trees that surround you! The cabin is perfectly located, minutes away from charming Occidental town, and a scenic and short drive to Bodega Bay, Santa Rosa, Gurneville. We certainly look forward to returning soon!
