We stayed at Sant Amanza for a week in early September - 2 toddlers who were in charge of everything, Mum, Dad and grand-parents. The house was ideal with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom for Mum, Dad and the kids at one end of the house, a large living room / kitchen in the middle and a separate bedroom and bathroom for the grand-parents at the other side of the house.
The house opened up through several doors at the back onto a lovely patio area with an inbuilt BBQ and fantastic views over the countryside, down to the bay and Maora Beach. Steps led down to the pool, which was enjoyed by all of us every day, as was the roof terrace, from which the views were even more impressive, especially in the evening as the sun went down..
We were met on arrival by Valerie, who was very friendly and was available for any queries we had during our stay - as was the owner, Yves, who was very easy to deal with, and answered all our pre trip questions quickly and supplied all the information about the house and the area.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, is well furnished, has comfortable beds, good Wifi and a wash room. The only negative we had was the mosquitoes which were quite active at night and we suffered on the first night when we hadn't prepared for them!
The house is a 10 minute drive from Bonifacio, where there is a choice of shops and plenty to see and do. We had a day trip to Porto Vecchio, but having experienced the fun of trying to get into the town and find a parking spot there, we all agreed that we were glad we were staying near Bonifacio! The boat trip to see the coast line and caves from Bonifacio is also a must for the first timer.
All in all, a lovely house to use as a base for a visit to this lovely part of southern Corsica.
