Casa de Frutas is a privately owned luxury rental villa located in the renowned gated resort of Tulemar Gardens in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. This “Bali Modern” style house totals 4,000 square feet of tropical, open-air living with 3 private, air conditioned suites. Some of the many amenities include panoramic sunset ocean views, an infinity edge plunge pool, Balinese pavilion and a private award winning beach within walking distance. Unlike Casa de Frutas, most vacation rentals in Manuel Antonio are not truly walking distance to a beach, and require either a car or bus. Your perfect vacation begins at Casa de Frutas. PERSONAL BUTLER SERVICE

One of the things our guests rave about the most, is the unexpected and unrivalled service they received during their stay at Casa de Frutas from Mauricio, their own personal butler. Mauricio, a native of Costa Rica, graduated from ULACIT university with a business degree and then spent three years in the US working and studying English. After his time in the US, he returned to Costa Rica to work in banking and hospitality, learning the high level of service required to excel in both industries. Mauricio has worked with Casa de Frutas from the beginning in management, marketing and the butler/concierge role. He takes pride in knowing what guests expect staying in a luxury vacation rental, and utilizes his extensive network of local contacts to fulfill all our guests wishes. You can feel comfortable at Casa de Frutas knowing that whatever you need during your stay will be taken care of by Mauricio. As one of guests remarked “He knew what we would need before we even asked”.

TULEMAR GARDENS RESORT

Tulemar is exactly where you want to be in Manuel Antonio! It is the only gated and secure, 33 acre resort development in Manuel Antonio with it’s own private beach. There are nature and hiking trails leading thru the jungle areas complete with plaques describing trees and vegetation. You will see as much wildlife in Tulemar as you do at the national park including all three types of monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, insects and other wildlife. The private beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling and has free lounge chairs, umbrellas, sea kayaks, and boogie boards for all guests to use. Tulemar’s private beach was also proud to have just received the prestigious “Blue Flag” award (Programa Bandera Azul Ecologica) signifying pristine water and beach area, and environmentally/ecologically protective practices.     Last week my boyfriend and I decided to give ourselves a much needed break from the doldrums of our everyday lives. We booked a week at Casa de Frutas, a luxurious villa in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica.It became instantly and abundantly clear that we had just given ourselves not only a treat for the mind but respite for our souls and all of our senses.You walk into the house to find Mauricio, the personal butler, waiting with the staff to offer a moist cool towel and and a welcome drink.Then your senses are instantly bombarded by the views and the scents. The jungles of Manuel Antonio and the Pacific Ocean open up in front of you so majestically that it truely does take your breath away. The house itself, a Balinese style villa just begs for one to take full use of the terraces for practicing yoga or for getting full body massages which we took full advantage of. And needless to say the evenings brought a spark of romance back to our everyday lives. David and Mauricio do a fabulous job and since it has 3 suites, we are thinking of coming back next year with two other couples to share in our Bliss. Thank you very much Casa de Frutas,

    "Simply Amazing!" If you are looking for a majestic view, a luxiourious home, every wish answered every day then you are looking for Casa De Frutas. Each day was more spectacular than the one before! Howard and I stayed for a week. We felt as if we were the only people on the planet! Everything we asked for was done effortlessly and with so much kindness. Mauricio arranged for us to enjoy a massage at home at sunset, the house staff cooked us a private breakfast while we slept in, zip line canopy tours were arranged, a day at sea fishing was all taken care of and on the last day Dave took us out for breakfast in an amazing little restaurant on the way to the airport! Mirasol (your private housekeeper) placed her gorgeous flower arrangements at our doorstep, in our bath, on our bed and even did our laundry. Every morning I looked forward to seeing her and trying out my very bad Spanish. Everyone is eager to help you with everything including your bad language skills! Everyone who tends to you does it because they truly care about your happiness, relaxation and enjoyment. There is nothing like Casa de Frutas that I have ever experienced. EVER! Dave and Mauricio and the staff at Casa De Frutas will make you feel very special. You will have as much or as little to do as you choose, but you will always feel as if you are the only people in the world. Our vacation was perfect. We enjoyed everything, right down to that screaming little bird that gets up too early. You can be sure that not a day goes by that we don't miss the view from the house, or the wonderful clear night, or the sloth (which Patrick tells everyone Mauricio has trained to appear for first time visitors).     "Nothing Spared!" Recently returned from a wonderful stay in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Had the good fortune of staying in a fabulous vacation home in TulemarGardensjust outside of Manuel Antonio.The villa, Casa de Frutas was designed and appointed by Dave the owner. This house could appear in Architectural Digest. Dave provided every detail for our stay at this secured and gated community. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by his staff with chilled face cloths, and gifts, and for the senses music and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. As staff got us settled to our new and pristine environment they carefully explained all the amenities that included, safes, refrigerators in each room. In addition, each room also provided microwaves, and coffee makers. The bathrooms are like going to a day spa which provided all Aveda soaps, shampoo, and conditioners. While there Mauricio the house manager provided guest services that included arranging our excursions, to the jungle canopy tours, sailboat, and Jet Ski outings. Mauricio speaks English and helped us with restaurants or any need that arises, including a relaxing message. On the days we stayed home to relax we enjoyed the beautiful view from the Infiniti pool that appears to spill into the Pacific Ocean, and the semi-private beach just a short 5 minute walk inside TulemarGardens. While there, you are provided lounge chairs and attendants will provide drinks which can be charged to your villa. In addition, Kayaks where available in the quiet bay. However, the main attraction is the occasional monkey hovering in the surrounding trees. Casa de Frutas, is designed for the vacationer who wants nothing spared, and the staff is completely client focused, but yet provide you with the appropriate amount of privacy. We always felt like we were pampered and part of the family during our stay. We are definitely going back and look forward to future visits.

    WOW...breath taking gardens and scenery, spectacular ocean views, extraordinary architecture, amazing plunge pool and cabana, gorgeous private beach, fabulous shops and restaurants and 6 star services...I could go on and on and on. My wife and I, and two other couples were privileged to stay at Casa de Frutas for the vacation of a lifetime. I always said I would never travel and stay at the same place twice (too many beautiful places to see in this great world of ours)...but we will return to Frutas. This is a very special Villa in a stunning gated community that is so spectacular it is difficult to put into words. If you are looking for the best of the best, then you have arrived.     We spent a week during the month of July in this spectacular house and didn't want to leave! The view and location is even better than imagined. Casa de Fruitas is truly a beautiful luxury home. One of the best surprises was the infinity pool over-looking the Pacific Ocean. We spent many an afternoon just relaxing in the pool and looking at the amazing views. To top that, the house is well located -- a perfect distance from every sight we wanted to see on our vacation as well as very close to the beaches and great restaurants. When we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and caring staff. I felt truly welcomed and not just ?another? guest. Mauricio, the house butler, did everything to ensure our trip was a success- from booking excursions to recommending incredible restaurants. The house itself is amazing and beautifully decorated. Fresh cut tropical flowers were through-out the house. The main living area is open with an incredible view of the Pacific. It was great having breakfast while watching the wildlife outside. Downstairs, are two separate air-conditioned suites with great views. The entire house has a very open feeling, which gave us the chance to truly enjoy and experience Costa Rica. It was in just simple terms ?The ideal retreat?.

    My 11 yr. old son and I just got back from our third visit to Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica, and we had the oppurtunity to stay at Casa de Frutas again. From the moment you enter the house greeted by an amazing staff offering a tropical drink and a cold towel PLUS a breathtaking view of the ocean, ... you will not want to leave. The gardens/jungle surrounding the house have been carefully preserved and engineered with local wildlife in mind,and it is not unusual to wake up with the sound of exotic birds, and to see 3 species of monkeys right in front of you, and you're still in bed!! Most excursions/tours in the area are geared to show the beautiful nature trails, where you see tucans, mono titi, white face, and howler monkeys, 2/3 toed sloths, coates.., and you can see ALL OF THEM and lots more just being at this house and walking the trail on this property! Take a complimentary cayak and a snorkel from their beach (David will set you up) and in less than 10 minutes of rowing, you are snorkeling at a very popular spot with some great tropical fish. I practically have to drag my son from boogie boarding the waves as sunset comes so that I can rush back to the house for the 'sunset countdown' to settle in the main living room or the negative edge private pool- with a glass of wine-just breathtaking! Dave's (the owner of Casa De Frutas) attention to detail is evident from the design/decor of the house to assembling a staff that will happily take care of any need that may arise. His appreciation of the Costa Rican people and the preservation of the environment is refreshing. The flowers! I must've taken a hundred photos of the stunning floral arrangements that are custom made at the house. Last but not least Mauricio, who manages, organizes any details with class, and helps cook a fab Costa Rican breakfast with a knockout smile! Thanks guys for another great stay!

    My 8 girlfriends and I wanted to find a spectacular place to celebrate our 40th birthday. We wanted a place we would never forget and we found it at Casa de Frutas. Dave and Mauricio were amazing and no details were overlooked. The condo is spectacular with an amazing view of the ocean and fabulous sunsets. Not a far walk to the beach, but take one of the hiking trails down to the beach. Casa de Frutas is also close to some fine restaurants. Thanks Dave and Mauricio for making our "Fabulous at 40" Trip so memorable.

  • Our stay at Casa De Frutas began this way: Walking through a gate in a wall revealed a bali style home set in the middle of rain forest gardens, up a staircase without rails to doors that opened as we reached the top step. As we stepped over the threshold we were handed a tropical drink to view the most incredible sunset over the ocean through a house without walls. It was all I could do to not cry. Perfect!
