Casa de Frutas is a privately owned luxury rental villa located in the renowned gated resort of Tulemar Gardens in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. This “Bali Modern” style house totals 4,000 square feet of tropical, open-air living with 3 private, air conditioned suites. Some of the many amenities include panoramic sunset ocean views, an infinity edge plunge pool, Balinese pavilion and a private award winning beach within walking distance. Unlike Casa de Frutas, most vacation rentals in Manuel Antonio are not truly walking distance to a beach, and require either a car or bus. Your perfect vacation begins at Casa de Frutas. PERSONAL BUTLER SERVICE

One of the things our guests rave about the most, is the unexpected and unrivalled service they received during their stay at Casa de Frutas from Mauricio, their own personal butler. Mauricio, a native of Costa Rica, graduated from ULACIT university with a business degree and then spent three years in the US working and studying English. After his time in the US, he returned to Costa Rica to work in banking and hospitality, learning the high level of service required to excel in both industries. Mauricio has worked with Casa de Frutas from the beginning in management, marketing and the butler/concierge role. He takes pride in knowing what guests expect staying in a luxury vacation rental, and utilizes his extensive network of local contacts to fulfill all our guests wishes. You can feel comfortable at Casa de Frutas knowing that whatever you need during your stay will be taken care of by Mauricio. As one of guests remarked “He knew what we would need before we even asked”.

TULEMAR GARDENS RESORT

Tulemar is exactly where you want to be in Manuel Antonio! It is the only gated and secure, 33 acre resort development in Manuel Antonio with it’s own private beach. There are nature and hiking trails leading thru the jungle areas complete with plaques describing trees and vegetation. You will see as much wildlife in Tulemar as you do at the national park including all three types of monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, insects and other wildlife. The private beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling and has free lounge chairs, umbrellas, sea kayaks, and boogie boards for all guests to use. Tulemar’s private beach was also proud to have just received the prestigious “Blue Flag” award (Programa Bandera Azul Ecologica) signifying pristine water and beach area, and environmentally/ecologically protective practices. Food and beverage service is available; just sign the check to your house! You can walk 5 minutes down the hill to the beach and either walk back up or take the resort shuttle for just $1 per person. Tulemar is located in the heart of Manuel Antonio, within walking distance to the best restaurants and fun bars. The national park is just minutes down the street. Tulemar has it’s own restaurant and bar on site for casual dining or you can order “room service” and they’ll bring it right to the house!

  • Casa de Frutas is just a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful house, impeccably maintained, magical location. We saw more wildlife close up at the house than at the national park. And Mauricio's assistance is invaluable. He will hook you with the best tours, the best guides, the best restaurants. Whether you are active or lazy this is a great place. The only difficulty? Leaving at the end of the week!

  • Our stay at Casa de Frutas was nothing short of amazing. The home, pool, grounds and views are stunning and the animal and bird watching from the expansive terraces is outstanding. Despite being on vacation, we arose by 6 a.m. every morning (even our late-sleepers) to watch the monkeys traverse the tree tops of the property. Dave was a gracious host and Mauricio has the gift of anticipating a guest's every need. We regret (1) not spending more time at Tulemar's beach; and (2) having to leave.

The home's pictures don't do the property justice, and anyone who is considering this versus any other home in the region know this is THE PREMIER home in the area.   • Our family came down to stay at Casa de frutas for a wedding. We were all able to stay in the house and absolutely loved every minute of it. Tulemar is a great place to vacation, you feel very safe and have the ability to walk to different restaurants as well as eat in Tule Cafe. The private beach is awesome and we had a lot of fun enjoying the sun and relaxing. We could NOT have asked for a better week at Casa de frutas - everything we needed was taken care of and Mauricio went above and beyond in taking care of us. The house and the views were stunning and we enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunsets. We knew the house would be beautiful based on the pictures - but the pictures really don't do it justice! We were so impressed by how beautiful the house was and how well maintained it is. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back.

My husband and I have traveled to many parts of the world, we have stayed in beautiful places and incredible hotels looking for our place in paradise to call home. A place that we would want to go back to year after year. Nothing can compare to our experience at Casa Da Frutas. This is now our place in paradise. My husband and I enjoyed the beauty of the home and the natural beauty that surrounded it, the beautiful sunsets, our walks to the gorgeous quite beach with warm ocean waters, waking up to the sounds of nature and the smells of ocean and forest air, the convenience of stores and great restaurants most within walking distance, the privacy and security of a secluded location within a gated community, the charming town and friendly locals of Manuel San Antonio only a short walk away, the serene peace of being undisturbed by anyone, and mostly, for all of the hospitality that Dave, Mauricio, and all of the house staff who were so friendly and helpful and paid attention to such small details They were always there when we had a request or even a simple question. We are ever so grateful. We have already booked for next year. We plan on returning year after year for our winter vacation. Our trip to Casa De Frutas will be the only good thing about next year's Chicago winter!!!

  • Our group, which consisted of three couples, has just returned from a week's stay at Casa de Frutas, and we all agree that our week there may have been the best vacation week of our lives. The house is beautiful and comfortable, the setting and views are gorgeous and the staff service was gracious and personalized. We found the house to be ideal for three couples, with the right combination of privacy and togetherness. The living room, kitchen and dining area are roomy and the kitchen is well outfitted for those who want to prepare some of their own meals. Each of the suites is spacious, with outdoor space and beautiful views. It is clear that much thought has gone into the set-up of the suites---we could not think of anything that needed to be added for our comfort. While we pride ourselves on southern hospitality in Georgia, it seems that it has been perfected in Costa Rica. Dave and Mauricio made us feel at home and were always available to help us with arrangements and questions. What a treat to be able to simply think of something we wanted and know that everyone would do their best to make it happen! All of us were thoroughly spoiled by the end of the week. We unreservedly recommend Casa de Frutas to those seeking a quiet place in paradise that is close to lots of activities, with all the amenities and a wonderful staff and owner as well.
