This charming cottage with a lighthouse looking top is located right on the water in Kent Island, 5 minutes from Chesapeake Bay Bridge, on a half acre of land. The cottage has its own private beach which adjoins the community beach area (boat dock, picnic area, swimming).
You have 180 degrees of wonderful views of the water from sliding glass doors that wrap the entire front and sides of the cottage. The front room or family room is very spacious and great for relaxation or entertaining. The lighthouse top is also a bedroom or bedroom office with sliding windows that wrap completely around with 360 degree views. The bedrooms & bathrooms are small but cozy.
The area also claims to have the best crabs (blue channel) in the world, and they are very delicious. Check Kent Narrows Marina for fishing, crabbing and wonderful eating places. Check our links below.

Pictures don't do it justice... Stayed at this lovely establishment the week of 4th of July, 2011 with 10 of my cousins...... I couldn't have asked for anything more .... Awesome house, convenient (large) outdoor shower, private beach, great location, house has a nice open feel to it... plenty of room for entertaining. Large front yard for kickball, baseball, football, PARKING, etc etc.... Nice little pavilion and mini park deal right nexrdoor... We're thinking of making it a annual tradition...

The house and beach are fantastic. The house is comfortable with an amazing view. The beach is great for families with small children as the water is calm and shallow pretty far out and the bottom is relatively smooth. I did get a pretty brutal crab pinch though. The owners are very cooperative and provide any extra you can think of from bikes, to ocean kayaks. The outdoor shower was a big hit and probably used more than the indoor one. We were fortunate to be there during the Horseshoe crab and Cownose ray mating season. In the evening we watched rays in the water and in the morning, we saw the horseshoe crabs on the shoreline. Fortunately for us, there were no jellyfish. Apparently they are usually too bad to get into the water. The only "problem" for me is beyond anyone's control. As an arachnaphobic person, I notice all spiders. There are ALOT of them. I plan on returning to this house next year.
