Now this home offers a fenced-in yard for the dogs and small children, one of 3 fenced yards on the lake! The home has 3 stone fireplaces, to relax and eat by. Totally rentovated, come home to this great relaxing home. The home also features a private dock with deep water capability for swimming, and boating in this quiet, no-wake cove. It is perfect for children and adults! The home has a canoe for the use of tenants. New pool table and ping pong also available. Canoe & new hot-tub on-site, kayaks can be rented, weekly only. High speed as well & flat screen TV's.
The trails are for physical exercise, such as hiking and walking only, in order not to disturb the wildlife, no four-wheelers or ATVs. Relax at night by the wood fireplace upstairs or propane fireplace downstairs and enjoy one of the books offered from the library or one of the games. The hot tub and screened-in porch and decks offer a lot of relaxing.
Antiques and spectacular views of Smith Mountain Lake and the mountain from several rooms make this home special. Sleep at night in the plush king-size and queen-size beds; or curl up in the comfortable twin beds by the propane fireplace downstairs. This home is perfect for two couples or for an extended family. There is enough space for everyone.
Swim right outside at the dock in the no-wake zone; or just slide into the water with the steps offered at the dock. Enjoy the most beautiful deep-green water on Smith Mountain Lake at this location. The dock with hoist and party deck, allow all to enjoy - with a great swimming area for children and a spectacular fishing area right off the dock! October 2004 the winner of the bass striper tournament caught the fish four feet from this dock! (I still think it was partly our fish.) Enjoy privacy - with woods and trails to the mountain surrounding this special spot. Hike from your own backyard through the trails, into the wildlife preserve.
And enjoy the peacefulness of this area while watching deer, birds, and other wildlife play. Note again: Due to wildlife preserve, no ATVs, quads, or four wheelers are allowed!
Log Cabin Retreat offers all the comforts and luxury you would want and deserve after a hard day of fishing, swimming, or hiking.
