  The condo was spacious, clean, updated and in a very quiet complex. It was in a good location, close enough to walk to a nice beach ( through the Marriott). Other nice beaches were a short drive away. The King and Queen Shops were next door, where there was shopping and some nice restaurants. A nice place, I would stay there again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

  We totally love this condo and the location. Condo is decorated comfortably and has everything needed. When asked for additional towels and a Pac play before arrival owner was wonderful. She totally followed thru. As for cable tv it was just enough channels for our down time. The location of t huh is condo doesn't allow for much of that. Close to shops beach restaurants and hiking trails we were more then satisfied. We will without a doubt book this unit again. We come every year and stayed at many places this is the Best...

  I totally agree 100% with the comments from 1/5. April did not let me know until the morning of our arrival that there was not a Play n Pac available and this was after "several" texts & phone calls requesting one "weeks" in advance, I finally had to run into Kona to purchase one for our 12 month old granddaughter. We were told that the condo would be open upon our arrival but infact as we arrived with food we found the condo locked. I then had to call & text April and told her to get in touch with me asap because we had cold food in the car. We tried to contact the manager but they are not responsible for the condos that are owned by "private" parties. There was no garage door opener, the exhaust fans in both bathrooms were broken, the blender was broken, the ironing board was broken, the carpet was in dire need of a cleaning, the mattresses in both bedrooms were "extremely" uncomfortable and the bedding was old, dingy and didn't even fit the queen size bed! It was a VERY frustrating experience for us and we will definitely not be renting this condo again!

  The condo is in a great location and is spacious. Here are a few general things you might want to know: The condo is no longer owned and managed by the Scott who is mentioned in the previous good reviews. The furnishings are a bit worn and basic (knives are dull, linens frayed, ironing board broken, carpet stained in spots, no real serving dishes) but acceptable for the price. Although there is a garage the owner does not provide an opener. Although the condo is advertised as sleeping 6 the owner's policy is to provide only 1 key that's needed for the pools and fitness room, and only 2 front door keys (1 in a lockbox). Although there is internet it is NOT wireless. Although there is a bbq it is at the pool, not on the condo's back patio. There is no door between the master bedroom and bathroom, and the shower is right across from the ground floor master bedroom window. Both bathroom exhaust fans were broken when we were there and I doubt they have been fixed. Here are the specific issues we had: Contrary to the listing's claim, there was no "digital video record" - the tv in the master got no reception at all (no cable) and the main tv only had analog cable - very small fuzzy picture (half the screen), few channels. No digital cable, no digital video recorder. We told the owner we would not have rented the condo without this (tons of great sports games were on during our stay). The owner refused to fix this, denied that her listing was inaccurate (she still hasn't changed it), and only offered us a two night discount on a future stay as compensation. We told her we cannot use that (we can't take another trip to Hawaii for years) but she has refused to offer us any other compensation. Also, when we arrived we discovered 12 lightbulbs were out (including the one outside over the lockbox), the beach chairs and umbrellas were missing, and we only had 3 beach towels. After repeated assurances from the owner that she would get us these missing items, she finally told us to purchase them ourselves and promised to reimburse us, plus refund our cleaning fee for the hassle. We spent $167.31 (and drove 20 miles to Home Depot), left all these purchased items for her future tenants to use, and still have not received her promised payment. I have stayed at many vrbo rentals. When the occasional problem has arisen, every other owner has been grateful to be notified and quick to respond. My experience with this owner has been very frustrating and disappointing.

  We have just returned from an enjoyable stay in Waikaloa. The unit was clean and ready when we arrived. A bay is just a short walk through the Marriot hotel. Ocean Sports has a booth on the beach. The best deal was the all day family pass from Ocean Sports; SUP's Kayaks, Snorkel Gear Aqua bikes etc for a good price. Get to the bay early as the wind may pick up in the afternoon making the bay a little rough esp. for a SUP. The Queens market across the street has a good grocery store (surprisingly good sushi) but everything is very expensive. A better grocery store is in Mauni Lani and I believe there is a Costco in around Kona you can stock up at. Great communication from the owner of the unit We look forward to visiting again. Thank you.

  The location and amenities of this property simply can't be exceeded in the Waikoloa complex. It is steps from A-Bay, steps from the Queen's Marketplace, Kings Shops and trails. For the outdoor enthusiast, bring your swim gear, your bike, your running shoes and let the fun begin. Our family could not have been more pleased and Scott was so great to work with. The hardest part about staying here is leaving for home! We can't wait to come back, thanks Scott.

  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waikaloa Beach Villas. The condo was beautiful with many ammenities and a wonderful location. We were within walking distance of the Kings Shops and Queens Market. The price of this condo was a real bargain in my opinion. We sat on the lanai every morning and had our breakfast in our shorts and t-shirts. Wonderfu weather with lots of things to do. Will definitely do it again.

  We were very surprised at how easy it was to book this condo, We were even more surprised when we arrived at the condo, it was more then we expected. Beautiful location right on the golf course, so close to shops and the beach. We had a wonderful time there and would recommend it to anyone travelling there. Great people to deal with as well.
