This completely renovated and carefully owner-maintained apartment is located on charming Rue Elzevir in the historic Marais district of Paris, France. This neighborhood provides the perfect Parisian experience from sunny, outdoor brassieres to the latest shopping on Rue Des Francs Bourgeois, lunch in the Place des Vosges to romantic walks along the Seine. Our quiet, light-filled and roomy one bedroom apartment (62 sq. m., 667 sq. ft.) is located on the third floor of a 17th century building. Near metro stations Saint-Paul (line 1), Rambuteau (line 11) and Chemin Vert (line 8).
The American-style kitchen opens into the spacious livingroom which has oak floors and warm light from both the historic Rue du Parc Royal and the quiet cobblestone courtyard. The decor is urban modernist, "Paris meets Wallpaper*". In the bedroom is a queen-sized bed designed by Amsterdam artist Maroeska Metz. The well-equipped kitchen can be used to prepare everything from a petit dejeuner to a gourmet dinner. After spending the day in Paris, you can pamper yourself in the granite and mosaic tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate tub.

"Lovely apartment in the Marais" - Completely and beautifully redone very modern apartment in very old building. Well equipped; great information provided by the owner; in one of the most interesting neighborhoods of Paris. Lot of excellent restaurants, markets and boutiques nearby. We have made this our preferred apartment in Paris.

"Perfect Paris" - We have stayed at the Elzevir Apartment on 4 occasions typically for 2 weeks per visit at different times of the year. We enjoyed each visit immensly and consider the apartment our Paris home. It's location on a quiet street in the heart of the Marias is perfect. The apartment's layout with two exterior exposures (street and courtyard) insures much natural light and good ventilation. The interior design is crisp and modern with a french flair. Maintenance is always flawless. Be sure and check out the close by Marais museums, restaurants, shops and the twice weekly farmers market a few blocks away.

Extremely quiet, especially at night. Very good for resting/sleeping. Loved the "Elzevir gray/blue" tiles in bathroom. Very restful colors throughout. Beautiful light through long, lovely windows. A soothing space in a splendid city.

Unfortunately there is no elevator but it does have very wide stairs that are comfortable to climb and the apartment is only two flights up.

Liz and I thoroughly enjoyed Paris this year - in large part due to your wonderful apartment. It is thoughtfully appointed, very comfortable, and lends a very homey feel to our time on the road. In short, it was easy to feel at home instantly as we explored the city around us. For an old building (17th Century), it sure does feel like the best of both worlds - the new interior, appliances, and designer touches all add a very special feel to being in Paris. It is obvious that you have gone to great lengths to ensure visitors to the apartment are cared for in every way. The thoughtful book selection on Paris, along with the "Paris Theme Movies" really made our stay fun. It was nice to come home, have a glass of wine and watch an old movie as we relaxed in preparation for thee coming day and exploring a new part of the city. We walked everywhere... and being at the Louvre in 20 minutes, or sipping a cold beverage only steps from the apartment each was a pleasure. It is indeed hidden away and I doubt you will be able to keep the secret for very long - we will highly recommend a stay at your place for anyone planning a visit to the City of Light...
