About the owner: I'm from and still live in NYC, but always loved going away to summer camp as a kid. What I've tried to re-create here is what I would call the experience of 'getting away'. For me that means great indoor and outdoor spaces that make it easy to relax.
Why the Owner Chose Rhinebeck: I wanted to be 'in the country' with privacy and land but not too far from town and basic amenities like great restaurants, groceries, movies/the arts. I love the varied terrain -- flat in parts then hilly, then flat again with a path that follows my brook. Wooded and open......formal and wild gardens.
The Unique Benefits at this House: People tell me that it's cozy and that they love the private setting in the woods and the proximity to every thing you could possibly want to visit.
