  • Absolutely Lovely!

"This cottage was an absolutely lovely place to stay! The pictures are extremely accurate - you will not be disappointed! The care taker checked in with us the morning after we arrived to make sure all was well and let us know how to contact her. The owner called us twice while we were there to make sure everything was satisfactory and answer any questions we had. We felt very well taken care of! This was a 2 couple trip, so we each had a king size bedroom and bathroom of our own with a shared living room & kitchen to separate the spaces. It was perfect! This would also be good for a small family or a girls trip. The area is safe and everyone we met was laid back and friendly! The kitchen here is very well stocked. You can cook anything here. Maxwell's grocery store, which is only a 5 minute drive, has everything you could ask for in a grocery store. 2 of us are "gluten free" and it was no problem finding pasta, crackers and more. We chose to rent a car & would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to explore. The drive to Treasure Cay was nice and it was by far my favorite destination. The restaurant there had good food, and the beach was picture perfect! Cherokee Sound is another gem (with hardly a soul around) which we found after driving to Pete's Pub in Little Harbor. We took the ferry down the road from the cottage to Hope Town where we climbed to the top of the lighthouse, had lunch at Firefly, & shopped the cute local shops. We also took another ferry to Guana Cay for lunch at Nippers & a walk to Grabbers. Quite the "girls gone wild" atmosphere at Nippers. Interesting people watching but we all agreed we'd seen it once & don't feel the need to return :-) Not a good place for kids! We hired a captain with a 40 ft. sailboat for a 2 day / 1 night sailing adventure. We snorkeled the reefs at Fowl Cay & Mermaid. It was so relaxing and much cooler out on the water. This was a wonderful vacation. You can do as much as you'd like or absolutely nothing! The location of this cottage is central to everything. We would highly recommend this home and this location to everyone!"

  • Best Experience Ever!

"We came for our son's wedding at Compass Point/Love Beach, and really didn't want to book 3 separate rooms in a big hotel for our family. Not only was this condo more economical, it had all the comforts of home. Very clean, very well-furnished, near the grocery and liquor stores and near the bus stop, it was just perfect for us. Its first floor location was quiet, and there was a lovely pool. We ate breakfast there each day, got a pizza from nearby Marco's for lunch one day, and used the bus or taxis to get us around for other meals and/or touring the island. Terou did a wonderful "welcome" tour for us, and even agreed to pick up my daughter at 10:30 pm at the airport when her flight arrival time was drastically changed. He was also very gracious and helpful every time I emailed him with questions about Nassau, where none of us had ever been before. We did not want to leave! This condo is terrific!"

  • Days in Paradise

"My wife, 2 young children (aged 3 and 5) and I spent three wonderful weeks in this house. It is the first time I have been anywhere where the property is actually better than the sales pics. While the property is as you see it on the YouTube video it actually feels more spacious when you get inside and the beach/ocean is far closer than expected. The house is also extremely well equipped and you feel very much looked after by the local manager. In terms of positioning the property couldn't be in a better spot and the beach and water are very safe for small kids. There is also some decent snorkelling 30yrds off the shore. It is close enough to the amenities and main town (10 mins drive) but far enough away to feel a sense of detachment from the world.. There is also enough to do on the island (don't miss the dolphin experience) if you can be bothered to drag yourself from the beach! I can't recommend this property enough."

  • Excellent Home with Dock

"We wanted to rent a home with a dock so we could rent a boat and have it conveniently located behind the house. This home is perfect for that. Great location is located right beside the town area. pictures give a good representation of home, we had no surprises. Owner was very easy to work with and responded to emails quickly. We also used there caretaker Louise for transportation, she was very dependable and we would use her again. We would rent this home again and look forward to another visit."

Bimini Travel Tips

Be Inspired by the Tropical Paradise of Bimini Vacation Rentals

The Biminis are a small group of islands that form the westernmost region of the Bahamas. The islands are located a mere 53 miles from Florida and the U.S. mainland, making them a favorite island getaway destination for Americans. The islands have a rich and colorful history, attracting personalities such as Earnest Hemingway who sailed his boat across to Bimini to enjoy some of the big game fishing he’d heard about. It’s here that he’s believed to have been inspired to write The Islands in the Stream and The Old Man and the Sea. Bimini has always attracted sun lovers to its beaches. Fishermen, scuba divers and snorkelers visit Bimini to take advantage of its underwater treasures as recreational activities.

Bimini Travel Connections

Bimini has its own international airport located on South Bimini. There are daily scheduled connections to Ft. Lauderdale in Florida, U.S. and to Nassau in the Bahamas. The flights from Ft. Lauderdale take just 20 to 25 minutes. When traveling from other parts of North America or Europe, these two cities are the two main hubs for flight connections into Bimini. Many regular travelers to Bimini like to make use of a seaplane charter service. There are numerous local charter companies that offer regular flights across to the islands. Because of its proximity to the Florida coast, many people sail or motor across the Gulf Stream to Bimini. Because it is a relatively short distance, even smaller sailing craft and fishing vessels make the trip across to Bimini.

Enjoy a Relaxed Island Vibe at Bimini Resorts

There are several luxurious rental homes based within resorts such as Bimini Bay Island Resort. The homes tend to be large and spacious, accommodating between eight and 10 people in four bedrooms or more. Beautiful ocean views, private boat moorings and golf carts to access the resort facilities make these homes an ideal vacation choice. Smaller condos suitable for honeymooners and couples wanting a more private holiday home are also available. Most vacation rentals are tastefully furnished and equipped with most modern conveniences.

Activities on Bimini

Bimini is known worldwide for its excellent game fishing opportunities. Located on the edge of the Gulf Stream, charters can take you to some of the best deep sea fishing sites in the world. World record catches have been recorded here.

For those with a more environmental interest, you can enjoy exploring the underwater wonders of Bimini's many diving and snorkeling sites. Walls, wrecks and colorful reefs offer excellent drift diving sites. One of the most famous sites is the Bimini Road. Large limestone blocks lie neatly aligned on the ocean floor and are believed to have been part of the road to the lost city of Atlantis.

Bimini is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches. The most popular beaches are on North Bimini near Alicetown. If you are looking for some tropical seclusion however, then head out to the Bimini Cays. Chances are you can find an idyllic spot all to yourself and enjoy tropical paradise.

There are several historical sites on Bimini that are worth visiting. For the best experience, book an escorted tour with a local guide so that they can fill you in on the history and culture of the island as you sightsee.

The tropical foliage on the islands is home to a myriad of colorful birds. Hear them calling and watch them hop between the branches as they curiously watch you watching them. The Bimini Cays are particularly good for bird watching and charters can be easily arranged from South or North Bimini.
