  • Beautiful property for a relaxing vacation

"Villa Natalia fulfilled all of our needs for both relaxation and adventures in San Pedro. The property was spacious, clean and well maintained. The modernly designed kitchen was especially well-equipped and and the grill available to us was massive! One of the highlights our vacation was sipping coffee around the table on the ocean-front deck. Tranquility Beach Resort, which houses Villa Natalia, has beautiful grounds and a comfortable pool area. We spent time every day on the beach or in the pool on the property. Armando, the groundskeeper, was a pleasant fellow who did a fabulous job taking care of our needs (water refills / giving us fresh coconut water). We also enjoyed having a few eating establishments within walking distance of the condo (although it should be noted that some of the establishments where starting to close for a few week-months because of the arrival of the slow season). The condo is ideally located a couple of miles south of San Pedro, offering the quiet we desired and yet the golf cart ride into town was quick and easy. I'd recommend Villa Natalia to anyone looking to vacation on Ambergris Caye."

  • Wonderful stay in Ambergris Caye!

"We just returned from our wonderful trip to Belize and I'm already missing it. This house was perfect for us and our two teenaged kids, a boy and a girl. Each bedroom has 2 Twin beds that can be separated or kept together as a King. Somehow the beds don't separate if you put them together, so there's no falling through the crack and the beds were very comfy. The views of the gorgeous turquoise colored water were amazing and we loved having our own dock to hang out on. This also made it easy for boats to come pick us up for excursions we booked. We did not rent a golf cart and I really don't think one is necessary. We would take the Coastal Express water taxi when we needed to get into town (only twice). The Mata Grande grocery store is an easy walk and although it's small they have all the basics you need. Next door to the grocery store is Aurora's restaurant. It has great breakfasts and lunch at a very reasonable price. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need, but I do wish it had a basic spice cupboard. Other than that, no complaints. The best part of our stay at Castillo de Arena was having William, the caretaker around. He was at the dock to greet us when our water taxi arrived and was so helpful in giving advice about the island. He showed our teenaged son how to spear fish which was the highlight of his trip and he also showed us the best spots to kayak out to and snorkel. On our second to last night William gave us an awesome coconut demonstration for his coconut rice recipe. He also barbecued some fish and lobster that the guys caught during their spear fishing adventures. We really enjoyed our stay at this house and look forward to returning again, hopefully next year!"

  • Perfect Relaxation Retreat

"A lovely cabin just off the main south road, quiet but complete with everything you might want - main room living/kitchen, bedroom and bath. Lovely garden surrounding. Two minute walk to the beach where you can use Banana Beach pool and pristine sand beach area. Hostess Karen is a delight, knowledgeable and will help you arrange anything you might need. Nearby store, golf cart rental, tour booking, massages, beach bars, restaurants - everything. We had a wonderful relaxing time."

  • Great house and great help!

"We were a group of 5 couples staying at the villa for the first week of Nov. We arrived Saturday evening from the ferry and German and Edgar were there with 2 golf carts to greet us and a taxi to take all of our luggage. The golf cart ride was an adventure in itself in a fun way! We asked for German's wife, Margarite, to cook our first meal at the house (Belizean chicken and rice) and it was amazing after a long day of travel. It was so good that we had her cook a couple of other meals, one of which included ceviche! All were excellent! The villa was beautiful, had plenty of room, and was a perfect location for our group. We loved hanging out by the pool and relaxing on the private dock. German and Margarite (and their little dog, Belle) live directly behind the villa which was very convenient and helpful when we needed anything and never intrusive! Edgar, aka Champ, would rake the sand in the mornings and attend to the pool if it needed it (and helped with any other requests). One day he came by and cut fresh coconuts for us. He also assisted on our private tour to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley...a MUST DO! I was a little concerned initially about some of the reviews, but the owners have added new furniture and plenty of kitchen ware so we never had an issue. We did rent the entire house which included the owners suite. There are 3 full sized refrigerators in the house which was nice since we did buy a lot of groceries. The trek to town on the golf carts was always fun and only took about 15-20 minutes. The Lone Star Grill and Cantina and the Black Orchid were only 5 minutes and both had a fun atmosphere and good food and drinks. We always stay in villas when we travel with a group for the privacy and this did not disappoint. The house also had 2 large flat screen TVs if you want to catch up on anything in the states, but we didn't use them much. It also has free wifi which was very fast and convenient for checking email and facetime with kids back home. We had a great time at Villa Incommunicada!"
