  • Wonderful home away from home!

"We stayed here in 2012 for a month. This year (2014) we returned for another month. It was a comfortable, clean apartment in 2012 and this year it was even better with the improvements that Tom, the owner, has done. We enjoy our time on the beach...only minutes away...and our time in the pool. The numerous restaurants and bars in Costambar are excellent serving Dominican, Canadian, Italian and German fare at reasonable prices. We ate most breakfasts and some dinners at the apartment but eating out is so reasonable we took advantage of being spoiled. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment and the local corner store is very accommodating if you choose to eat all of your meals in. The apartment and property is very clean and well maintained by Myrium and management."

"I travelled to the Abacos the first time by our personal boat with my husband about 5 years ago and we fell in love with the islands and people instantly. I wanted to share the experience with my family so I planned a trip for them. I realized they could not make the boat trip so I began my search for a home I felt would be a perfect fit for them. After much consideration I decided on the Lemon Tree House and couldn't have made a better decision. My Mom an Dad came along with my two cousins that flew in from the UK. We flew into Marsh Harbour and took the ferry across to Guana Cay and were greeted at the dock by Darvin (the caretaker) who escorted us to the house and welcomed us to the island. From the moment we walked in to the "Lemon Tree House" I knew I made the right choice, we truly felt at home! It was clean, bright and had everything we needed. The wrap around deck of which spent a lot of time, has awesome views. It was so nice to drink our morning coffee and watch the boats go by. We spent our days island hopping, snorkeling, sunning, and exploring the island in general. Troy from Guana Dive Shop is just sround the corner and I highly recommend taking a trip with him. You can walk most everywhere and the grocery store was only a 10 minute walk so we were able to cook our meals and enjoy the house in the evening hours just as we would at our own home. We also enjoyed a few nights at Grabbers (only steps away) and of course the Sunday Pig Roast at Nippers is a must. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and the owners made the entire process so easy. They provided us with all the necessary travel/arrival tips as well as having their caretaker, "Darvin", who was always availble if you needed anything at all. I wanted this trip to be one my family would never forget and it truly was! My cousins from England said this was the most beautiful place they had ever seen. We are planning to return next year with even more of our family members and will definitley be staying at the "Lemon Tree House" again! Our many thanks to Karen and Darvin and everyone on Guana Cay for making this one of the best vacations we've ever had!"

  • Wonderful Place - Best Hosts Ever!

"We just stayed for 12 days at this fabulous mountain top getaway. Every word in the description of the property is exactly what you get; - the bonus is, you get the sweetest hosts you will ever meet! Cindie picked me up at the airport after a glitch with the rental car and I got an insiders' insight of life on the island. She drove me to the grocery store so I could get more groceries and things I would need until my husband arrived the next evening! How many owners would go out of their way to help you like that? It made me feel very cared for and special! I think it was the attention to detail that impressed me the most. Whenever we had questions or needed help - they responded immediately. I loved that they took care of breakfast for us the first morning! How thoughtful! After a day of enjoying the beautiful beaches, sailing, snorkeling or shopping it was a quiet place to come back to and unwind. I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds that visited frequently. -The drive up is a little intimidating at first, but after a few days my husband was driving those hills like a pro! (Cindie gives very detailed directions that are extremely helpful). -The beaches we visited were all beautiful! -If you want a great snorkeling/sailing adventure - Use Island Girl Adventures, Captain Mike was wonderful! -Fish Tails in Red Hook was one of our favorite Key Lime Pie ever!"

  • A gem!

"We have rented many times through VRBO. On the Rocks is by far the best-stocked rental ever. As others have said, you do NOT need to bring anything but your clothes and some toiletries with you. Margaret was so easy to work with. She made arranging this rental a breeze. She even set up our jeep rental for us, met us at the ferry and gave us a quick orienting tour of Cruz Bay. She was so helpful, non-intrusive, warm and friendly. We enjoyed listening to her stories and suggestions. The kitchen is so well stocked-including plastic containers, many herbs and spices, plenty of pots and utensils. And, I highly recommend you check out what items are already there before you get anything from the grocery store. Margaret even had a nice basket of snack items for us. The bedding and towels are good--and there are PLENTY of towels. Lots of snorkel gear. Plenty of books. You name it, she's already got it. We enjoyed snorkeling right from the beach there-and saw plenty-including sting rays. The pool is such a nice extra. We had many dinners at the house-used the gas grill and ate out next to the pool. She has journals there with many years of remarks from many renters--so many come back year after year. It is a great location-if you want to be close enough to 'town' but also not 'surrounded' by crowds."
