"I stayed at this house for two weeks in Feb. 2014. It is just absolutely beautiful. U have continuous hot water in the shower, AC in bedrooms, (I didnt need it), potable water dispenser, (cold water), and streaming wifi. The beds are firm but nice and comfy. The kitchen has all the basics you need. There is an electronic security system and the place locks up like Fort Knox. Anyway, I didnt come for the house, I came for the location. The location is well, TO DIE FOR. OMG!!! It is heaven on earth, thats all I can say. You must explore your immediate surrounding beaches and the jungles. There is so much beauty and wildlife it is unreal. Bring your cameras and binnoculars. Within walking distance from the house is Arrecife Restaurant, which is a great little soda. Its like having a hotel restaurant bar, lol. IT IS WONDERFUL THERE!!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this house. Green Management was more than accommadating, setting up appointments and giving suggestions, etc. It was just a great time and I felt at home."Guest: melody p. "Our family of 5 spent a week in this house. We really enjoyed our stay! The house is up in the canopy of the forest so birds and monkeys are almost right at eye level. We saw hundreds of birds including toucans and green parrots, howler and spider monkeys, and many butterflies right off the deck. Our kids found poison dart frogs crossing the walk-way on several occasions. Expect to be woken up by bird songs and/or the howler monkeys every day of your stay. They are literally right outside the windows. There are bugs, like most of the country, it is impossible to avoid them. The beds all had nets that kept them off you at night. There will also probably be several geckos in the house, they eat the bugs so we enjoyed having them around. Our kids really liked catching them to examine. Yari, the property manager, is a wonderful person. She lives just at the bottom of the driveway and was easy to get in touch with as her mother runs the closest grocery store, just down the road. She got us everything we needed and did a great job showing us around the property. Her English is great and that was a big plus for us. We really didn't have any negatives for our stay but there are a few items to be aware of: Access to the house is up a steep curving driveway. We had 4WD and used it a couple times when the concrete was wet with rain. After parking, a fairly steep set of steps leads up to the houses and it might be difficult for elderly or impaired people to get up. There was no hot water in the house, but that isn't unusual for the country. Made for quick showers! The shower in the upper house is actually outside, sort of suspended off the side of the house outside the bathroom. Kinda fun to be showering outside in the jungle while the monkeys hoot and birds fly past. You will hear howler monkeys, quite possibly all night long. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. It didn't really bother any of us, but if you woke in the night you would hear them off in the distance very often. We were thrilled when they came by on our second day and spent 15-20 minutes in the tree right outside the house! The location was great for us, commented many times since that it was our favorite spot we stayed. Manzanillo itself wasn't anything special and we didn't spend much time there. Ate at the soda next to the hostel one night and had a good meal. It was great being close to Punta Manzanillo and we hiked there on several occasions. Great spot!"Guest: Bugsyboat Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 20, 2014View listing
"This is such an amazing place to stay! I can't say enough great things about the property or Erin and Darren the hosts! The pictures do not do the house justice which I know doesn't seem possible! We had the trip of a lifetime and this was the perfect location for our home base. We biked to Punta Uva, Puerto Viejo and many of the great places right in playa Chiquita! Thank you Erin and Darren for the unbeatable hospitality!"Guest: Sarah Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 6, 2014View listing
Limon Travel Tips
The Less Traveled Part of Costa Rica Found in Limon Beach Rentals
The Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is a beach-lover’s dream and that is where you will find Limon beach resorts. The Limon region is set apart from the rest of the country, so it offers something completely different to visitors since it is the least traveled. Spanning 125 miles, it is almost always hot and humid. Vacations in Costa Rica to the Limon province allow you to experience the country as many people typically do not. Boasting prehistoric rainforests, white sandy beaches, and unique wildlife, Limon resorts offer you one of the most memorable vacations ever.
Limon Vacations in Costa Rica Are Like No Other
If you are interested in vacations in Costa Rica, you should not miss the Limon province. Booking Limon resorts may be easier than other regions of the country as this is a far less traveled area. Situated just a short drive from San Jose, Limon was once a major banana port and is known to be the melting pot of the country. During Carnivale, the city turns into party central and is definitely something to experience.
If You Love Nature, You Will Love Limon Resorts
Taking vacations in Costa Rica allows you to see one of the more lush countries in the world. The rainforest is not the only reason to explore the Limon region. The coast is rich in wildlife as well and some of the best scuba diving opportunities await you just outside your Limon beach rentals. Home to several national parks, Limon boasts Tortuguero National Park and Cahuita National Park, Limon. Both offer an array of wildlife viewing and the latter is also the home to the last indigenous tribes of the country--the Cocles, Bribri, and Talamanca Cabecarv.
Set Your Sights on the Sloth near Limon Beach Rentals
If you need a small break from the day-to-day bustle of the city and beach near your Limon beach rentals, one of the best ways to break the cycle is to head over to Vargas Park. The park is not too far from most Limon resorts. Go ahead and grab a seat near the drooping seawall and keep your eyes open for some sloth. These slow creatures stay pretty well camouflaged and move incredibly slowly but love to hang out at this park. And when you are not sloth-spotting, try some local fare and shopping. It will be one of your most memorable vacations in Costa Rica yet.
