  • A real gem

"We stayed for four fabulous weeks over August and September 2014. The apartment has everything you could possibly want for a great stay. It is well-appointed, well-located and Holly and Jon could not have been more helpful. Holly has ensured the apartment is comfortable by refurbishing it both tastefully and with the best of appliances and fit-out. The apartment is right in the centre of the old town. A walk out of the gate sees you in Place des Cardeurs, with its wide variety of restaurants, and at the end of that is the town hall square and the daily markets. A seven minute walk and you are on Cours Mirabeau. Aix-en-Provence is a pretty and vibrant town and is itself within one to one and a half hours of the many lovely towns in Provence and the coast. Holly’s place is a real gem."

  • A memorable stay at La Jassine

"Although our encounter with the hosts was quite brief we enjoyed so much meeting with them . The feeling is so nice in their house where you can see that all has been arranged to make your stay comfortable and worryless . We felt very privileged to be able to get so easily to Lourmarin which is such a nice and quaint village typical of the Luberon and of Provence .We also appreciated the fact that the house is located in such a good environment that one can easily walk around the nearby hills or drive towards so many of the places of interest which are available in the vicinity of La Jassine .Indeed a very memorable stay at this excellent home ."

  • A beautiful place to stay - thank you.

"We stayed at Mas de Breuil in early July 2014 and it was one of the best rental accommodations we have ever used. We have a lovely home ourselves with nice kitchen and bathrooms and I always want just as high a standard when on holiday. We were not disappointed. The gite is converted from old farm buildings in the grounds of an ancient hunting lodge, where the owners live. There is one other smaller gite across the yard and you can use the swimming pool and tennis court. The whole gite is tastefully furnished with antique and rustic furniture and pieces of art. The accommodation is on three floors. On the ground floor is a very large lounge/dining room with a kitchen and a utility room plus a separate toilet. There is a modern dishwasher and washing machine plus two fridge/freezers. We saw a travel cot and a highchair stored here. There is a bedroom with two single beds (that can be pushed together) on the ground floor. This room has an en-suite shower and toilet - there is no door but there is a dividing wall. This bedroom would be ideal for someone with limited mobility as access is completely level from outside and the shower/toilet area could be easily accessed with a wheelchair. On the next floor there are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, plus a separate shower room and a separate toilet. On the top floor under the eaves is a large double bedroom with its own bathroom (or was it a shower room - didn't go up there much!). So it accommodates eight very comfortably. Each room has air conditioning - wonderful! The only suggestion we would make to improve the gite would be to add an extra sofa - there weren't enough comfortable seats for all seven of us to sit and watch a DVD - we brought in a couple of (nice) deck-chairs from outside to deal with this. The owner was friendly and helpful, both during the booking process and on site. There is a big, black, bouncy, barking dog, which is also very friendly and which we enjoyed playing with but you might like to be prepared if you have dog-phobic members in your party. Parents with young children should also be aware that the swimming pool is not fenced off and that there are pieces of agricultural machinery, and a small river, within walking distance - there is no enclosed garden and small children would need to be watched (but that's normal, isn't it). Overall we would definitely recommend this gite to anyone wanting a comfortable holiday in this beautiful part of France."

  • Beautiful and comfortable home

"Our incredible time in Arles and Southern France was made possible by using this beautiful home as our foundation for the one week trip. Our family of eight with a set of very young twin boys was extremely comfortable in the home, with every accommodation for us in place. In preparation for the trip, the owner Marya and 'in Arles" house manager, Emilie, saw to our every request and need. I can not think of any need of ours that went unfilled. The house is centrally located, with an easy walk all over town. Arles is a very friendly city which very much details the kind of reception we received from the owner in staying there. I highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed."
