Great beach house, excellent amenities, tons of space.
"Did some fishing with my buddies and we stayed at this house. The house and fishing operation (same owner, Mark Rayor, (http://teamjenwren.com/) are world-class. The house is fully equipped with everything you need, just add groceries and enjoy. Right on the beach, great outdoor porch with the Sea of Cortez as your back yard. Sun comes up over the water which is really cool. Excellent for guys fishing with mark or families on vacation. Mark and his wife Jen are super nice people who work very hard to help you enjoy your stay. We are going back for sure."

"We loved everything about our stay at Natalia's place! The home was nicely furnished and had everything we need. Kitchen was modern and stocked full of gadgets. There was an iPod stereo system for our phones and a large flat screen for TV. The convenience of being on the first floor can't be understated since it makes walking to the pool so easy. Natalia was responsive and answered all of our questions. The property manager Anna was really nice and greeted us when we first arrived. The development itself is quiet and laid back since only residents and guests are allowed. There weren't many people there at all during our stay so it literally felt like our own personal paradise. Calling transportation to take us to the boat dock was easy and they picked us up right at the doorstep. Most of the staff there is very friendly and speaks English. The restaurant at the pool made great cocktails and their food was fresh and tasty. We kayaked right off the beach there and on one morning had an absolutely incredible experience with a dolphin pod that swam around us. La Paz is a already magical place and staying in the Paraiso Del Mar community made it even better. We're definitely going to come back!!"

"At first I thought that Jazz corner doesn’t really need another 5 star review. It gets 5 stars from everyone who stays there. But then I realized that we were one of the first guests to stay in the condo after hurricane Odile, so people might wonder if it’s still a great vacation condo.
The condo is huge, and beautifully appointed. From artwork to furnishings everything is first class. The layout is beautiful, and with the second bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, you can have guests over and still have lots of privacy. The pictures and description on the website are not exaggerated. If I had to find a negative it would be that they need more end tables on the deck for those afternoon cocktail hours, but that’s about it.
The condo has fabulous views of the sea of Cortez, the estuary, and even back to the town of San Jose. If you enjoy watching birds, this place is a treat. We had vultures and frigate birds soar so close to us you could almost reach out and touch them. One night we were treated to an air show by three peregrine falcons. And of course there is whale watching at that time of year as well.
The good part is that you are on the third floor of a condo the sits high on a hill. The bad part is that the walk home always ends with a climb. We enjoy walking, so we only rented a car for a day or two, but if you have difficulty walking then you may need a car full time.
The resort is fabulous. The pools are beautiful and the staff is very accommodating. They also have a small pitch and putt area right below jazz corner. It has a couple of bunkers, so you can get your golf fix in….sort of.
At first we were a little disappointed in San Jose. Of course the hurricane did a lot of damage, and it takes time to get things cleaned up. The more we walked around the town, the more we started to enjoy the people. We were there during the Festival of San Jose, and boy do these people love to party. You have to get out and be a part of it, especially the fair grounds and the Charreria (some of it may not be for everyone). The only downside is that the music goes on all night, and you will hear it very clearly from jazz corner.
So the bottom line for us is that while we loved our stay in San Jose, it was Jazz corner that made the vacation outstanding. It is an absolutely fabulous condo in a beautiful resort with spectacular views. What else do you really need"
