"The six people in our party agree that Loreto Bay is a development designed and run by geniuses. The garden paths delighted us everywhere we went, and everyone was friendly. We spent hours at each of the pools and the beach. We appreciated the kayaks provided by the homeowners and we rented SUPs from Jorge near the resort, where he gave thorough instruction for our first SUP experience. My husband and I had a blast with Joel on the ATV tour, which was a highlight of this trip. This is neither our first, nor our last trip to sweet Loreto.
We had friendly, responsive service from Dawn and Chris, the property managers. Dawn greeted me at the casa when I arrived and pointed out her favorite restaurants on a list. As we settled in, we noticed a musty smell that was particularly strong in one of the bedrooms. We called and Chris came over promptly and used an ionizing air cleaning machine, which helped, but did not eliminate the odor completely. Perhaps this was a result of a hurricane prior to our arrival, but I have been in Loreto post-hurricane and other houses I know didn't have musty odors.
All rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bedding was a bit worn, and the comforter was picked up for cleaning promptly per my request. The bathrooms had a modern feel; ours had one glass door for the shower and a second glass door for the toilet. It seems rather fussy of me, but I longed for Mexican tile surrounding the mirror and hand-painted sinks. However, towels were plush and plentiful and the shower had lovely blue tile.
The kitchen had plenty of room for group-cooking efforts, nice wood cabinetry and granite. Cookware and dish-wares were not fancy; we bought more drinking glasses and two or three more serving bowls would have been nice. Chris found a replacement blender for us, which we really appreciated.
Two of the men in our group went fishing with a local friend and they brought in a load of pargo and trigger fish, which we turned into a feast with groceries from El Pescadoro market in Loreto. The grill was a pleasure to use and the nearby benches on the upstairs patio were comfortable (although hot in the afternoon sun). The benches were particularly nice in the mornings; I sat on one most mornings with coffee and a book as the sun rose.
There was no bad seat at the viewing tower table; everyone had an eyeful of jagged Sierra mountains or ocean blue. Thank you for sharing this Loreto Bay Home."

"This unit was not available, but Barry set us up in Villa 1308. The resort reminded me of Hawaii with the convenience of a direct couple hour flight from Austin. It's away from the noise while close to town. To get to the marina it was beach walk of 20 minutes or a 10 minute $9 cab ride. The luxury level was of excellent value. The second bedroom has a separate entrance & my wife & teenage twins appreciated the privacy. The balcony patio was a perfect place to rest from the sun for lunch breaks, grilling some freshly caught fish, or a glass of wine. The Villa was "home" with a kitchen & all the utensils you will need, washer & dryer, WIFI, 3 full bathrooms...& elegant.
I have been to Pacific destinations of Hawaii, Cost Rica, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa & Acapulco. I was surprised by the water quality of the resort's beach. I assume since it's desert, there's not much runoff. For June I was also surprised by the low humidity vs. the Caribbean. The evenings for restaurant dinners & mornings for beach walks were wonderful. Bring some inflatables to set up behind the wave breaks. The resort's pool was marvelous.
The beachside & poolside service was great. Most importantly was the level of service we received from Barry. He had recommendation on transportation fishing outfitters, activities, etc... We had an amazing fishing trip at the start of our vacation. For mid summer Cabo & Villas Estancia is a top choice for a getaway. This ATX family was saying in unison, Alright, Alright, Alright!"

"The one bedroom La Jolla condo was exactly as described on the site and by previous reviewers. The condo met or exceeded our expectations and was ideal for our needs for this short four night vacation. The location makes it possible to get by without renting a car, if you like to walk and use public transportation. We took the public bus for a Cabo day trip, walked to Palmilla Beach on the beach, at low tide (and took the public bus back to the condo) and even walked the 2 plus miles into town. Bette was great to deal with, too. I will definitely consider this property again if I am fortunate enough to vacation again in San Jose del Cabo."

"I couldn't have imagined a better vacation spot! Everything was perfect and I can't wait to go back. The condo was absolutely beautiful and I felt like I was at home (minus the ocean/sand/etc. :)). While you felt like you were amazingly alone - it was just a short bus or taxi ride to shopping; tours; restaurants; etc. The pool was spotless; the views incredible; the people friendly; etc. etc. Perfection!!!!"
