  • Understated by owners!

"Let me begin by stating that Laurie and Larry's description undertates the property and, in fact, San Miguel. The owners are helpful but not obtrusive and have really done a masterful job with this property. The experession "killer views" is so accurate; with essentially 3 decks (rooftop, off kitchen/living room and off master bedroom) the views overlooking the town (not very far away) are outstanding and stunning. Although the Casa is a short walk to downtown, it is well-located; we generally walked downtown and took a cab home ($3.00 or so). There is no need for a car and the walk is not arduous. The owners are very responsive; I don't know how they could have been more helpful. This began prior to renting, during a somewhat difficult trip that caused us to be delayed and prior to the rental. If there was a problem, it was dealt with immediately. The housekeeper, Soledad, is a gem. Helpful, efficient, lives within feet of the casa and truly is a wonderful person. I hope the reader is getting the impression that my wife and I are totally impressed with the property, town and owners. I really can't add to Laurie and Larry's description. The house is perfect, everything works, it's clean, well equipped and almost perfectly located. The owners are helpful and not hovering; they are totally responsive and have really done a first-class job of making this property a great rental. One of the "perks" is that the owners have provided their own guide book for San Miguel with recommendations for restaurants and other such interesting "to do" things. There is a good, stable and fast wifi, a good library of books, a good library of videos (although we were so busy we never turned on the TV or used any videos) and manuals for everything in the house. You can spend more but won't get more."

  • Wandering, Rest, Relaxation

"I spent the first few days with a close friend and the remainder of the time with myself. The rooftop is the perfect spot for sunrises and sunsets and the house is just lovely and the house is comfortable in clean. I loved the location once I acquainted myself with the best routes to get where I wanted to be and enjoyed the stroll to nearby restaurants, the park, and Centro. While there are a ton of boutique hotels here, having my own kitchen, washer, and private patio was perfect for me, especially if you want to enjoy the delicious findings at the market to prepare your own food! The house manager was very helpful and all transactions were super easy. I highly recommenf San Miguel de Allende and this property."

  • Charming and Lovely Casa

"My friend and I stayed at Casa Amarillo in early November 2014 and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I visited SMA last year and enjoyed it, and while there, saw this charming enclave of townhouses through the gates, so it was wonderful to discover this was the same place. The photos do not do it justice---very spacious, light, and comfortable, with any amenity you could want (except the dishwasher which isn't needed). Maria, the housekeeper, comes 3 times a week, and is so nice, friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The roof terrace has fabulous views, and the patios make it feel open and spacious. The two bedrooms with ensuite baths are both upstairs with a TV area in between. Both are very comfortable with those delightful boveda brick ceilings. There is also a powder room on the first floor. The location is excellent too---around the corner from the Rosewood Hotel which is a must do for the first night. Have a drink on their roof terrace---fabulous. Also on Saturday, the casa is a short walk from the farmer's market. Filtered water is abundant. The town of SMA is safe, and this is particularly safe and only about a 10 minute walk from the main square. A car is not needed at all. Thank you Peter, Gwen, and Maria!"

  • Lovely home

"Our party of 5 very much enjoyed staying in your lovely home for 8 days in April, 2015. The kitchen was much enjoyed and we found the full-sized W/D very useful! The view from the rooftop terrace was gorgeous...it was definitely a favorite part of the house. We had a car but t remained parked most of our trip. The bus that stops right outside the door was also helpful in getting home after a day of shopping. We will definitely be back!"
