  • A bit of Heaven

"We felt like we were home. Beautifully decorated, all amenities we needed. Close to the beach with access to the beach club. Wonderful food and much to do at the beach. Relax or go paddle boarding. Wonderful restaurants to choose from. Walk to the local fisherman's village for authentic cuisine. Taxis are available to take you shopping, to town or an adventure. Highly recommend this paradise."

  • Beachfront Condo

"This is a second floor unit overlooking Manzanillo Bay. You can watch the pelican's dive for fish, the ships coming in and out of Port, beautiful sunsets as well as taking long walks on the beach. Being right on the beach, the metal appliances show some stress from the salt air but were fully functional. It is also an older unit. There are a number of good restaurants within a short walking distance and three grocery stores within a mile. We used the bus at 7 pesos each. The exchange was between 14.1 and 14.5 to $1 during our stay. We found it very economical. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our six weeks in a great location."

  • Villa de Arcos

"Our experience at Villa de Arcos was a 5 *. The views from every floor are spectacular. Being at the end of the road, there is no traffic noise. Just a few crowing roosters and the occasional barking dog. Such is the beauty of Mexico! In summary, the house is beautiful and well maintained inside and out. We loved the tile work and unique decorations throughout, and the furniture is in overall good condition. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the on suite master bath is huge!!! There is a lot of storage space in all the bedrooms with an abundant supply of both bath and beach towels, along with extra sheets and blankets. The kitchen is well equipped, so it’s easy to make yummy drinks and healthy meals. FYI: there's a great pizza place at the bottom of the hill and a Mexican fellow sets up a hamburger/hotdog stand next door to the pizza place. Very yummy and tasty! The house has multiple levels, thus MANY MANY stairs. We were fine with this, but those with mobility issues should be warned. Also, there is NO AC. However, there are ceiling fans throughout the house and these are very efficient at keeping the air fresh and cool all day long. Outdoors, the plants and flowers around the pool are beautiful and there's also a mango tree! The pool itself is wonderful and was well maintained during our stay. The pool loungers (foam) are a nice bonus. What a luxury!!! The palapa / patio furniture is well kept with lots of chairs, including comfy sunbeds. We ate outside almost every meal. The patio area is large and the views are stunning. The caretaker (pool expert, gardener and general handyman) was very helpful in answering our needs, as was his wife (property manager). If we had any questions, they had most of the answers. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival and shown how everything works. As mentioned in previous reviews, the climb to reach the house can be quite the adventure, even with a car, especially after the rain damaged the road while we were there, leaving some pretty big rutts. We opted to rent a car and this was finally a very wise choice for us. The rental owner has contacts at the nearby car rental office and he was great in setting this up for us. The car was waiting for us at the house when we arrived. Would we rent this home again? You bet we would!!! Except that it is already reserved for several months next winter… That shows just how great a place this is!!!"

  • Off season travelers!

"We have driven about the whole western coast of Mexico except Colima and Michoacan. We finally were able to explore Colima! From the condo as a home base we explored the surf breaks, Colima, Comala, the volcano and then drove north to some of places we had visited before! The condo was a perfect home base for us! We were there off season and there were no bugs and really no people except another group that we met later one evening and enjoyed the beach and some great conversations. ( them Spanish mostly, us English mostly) Our car was safe, the condo was exceptionally clean, cheerful and well decorated and the beds were comfortable! The price was so reasonable, we had money to spare to go north and play some very very expensive golf!"
