"Lovely tropical setting with gorgeous views of the ocean give you a sense of peace and tranquility as you gaze out from the patio. This modern beach home has everything you need to be comfortable such as a huge pool, Internet, cable tv, modern appliances, comfy furniture, air conditioning ,sandy beach and of course the beautiful ocean. The views are amazing and the ever changing colors of the water can keep you mesmerized for hours. We walked the beach for hours and enjoyed the beautiful new fishing pier just a short distance from the house. Chuburna is a quiet beach village and very safe . Our trip to Progresso when the cruise ship was in port was fun especially to see the vendors along the Malecon selling their wares. Our trip to Meridawas amazing also with the beautiful malls and shopping centers. The property manager Veronica and the owner Gina were both very helpful. I definitely will come to this lovely beach home again."

"My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in this lovely home. The size and layout were perfect, the kitchen complete, the lanai amazing and the pool SO refreshing. Everything was spotless. The neighborhood was quiet with a cute little grocery store a couple of blocks away (turn left leaving the house, first left, then first right and down a half block) where we got toasted sandwiches for breakfast. Restaurants Chaya Maya (Yucatecan) and Dadaumpa (Italian) were great. Highly recommend, would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Just a quick note to offer my most sincere thanks to Mary and Neil!
Mary, your home is impeccable in every capacity! From location (on a lovely quiet street just 2 ½ blocks from the gorgeous Paseo, near restaurants, cafes, shopping and a number of plazas with their music and dancing and churches and museums) to décor (elegant and clean, with enviable fixtures, comfortable amenities and a clean flow from front to back) to the easy livability of the property (a fabulous home that feels like home), we were enchanted with every detail! The back patio was a lovely relaxing retreat where wine flowed and al fresco dining was in order after a long day, walking gorgeous Merida and discovering the many fabulous attractions. The well appointed kitchen is the hub of this lovely house, where meals were prepared using market goods from the many markets within walking distance. Thank you for offering this wonderful home!
And Neil, thank you for your time and service! We appreciated the many tips and the offers of assistance. Thankfully, no assistance was necessary due to the perfection of the house, neighborhood and city. But it was nice to know you were there in the case that we needed you. And indeed, opening up the house and allowing that gorgeous cross-breeze to ventilate meant we didn’t even need to use the fans very often, let alone the AC.
Thank you both! Our stay in Merida was simply perfect!"

KATHLEEN WHITE'S GUEST HOUSE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE SINGLE TRAVELER AS WELL AS COUPLES
"I stayed at the El Avenue Blanca for one month. April 14 to May 14, 2015. I was there for extensive dental work and was traveling alone. Being a 65 year old woman, it was difficult to stay in a hotel by myself. I would highly recommend this guest house, especially, for people traveling alone. Those who do not speak Spanish and do not know the city.
Kathleen and her family are very nice people. She was informative on places to visit and ways to spend the time I was not seeing the dentist. Also, she was able to call taxis for me - something I could not do myself since I do not speak Spanish.
Her inn is a reasonable place to spend time, and within reasonable walking distance to certain locations. If you stay with her for 1 month, you have your own bedroom and bathroom. You also have use of the kitchen, pool, CD library, garden areas and patios.
It was nice to have other people around me to talk to and share my adventures.
Again, I recommend her guest house for anyone traveling to Merida, Mexico for the first time."
