  • Perfect Location and great apartment.

"I planed a last minute trip to Argentina and I was so pleased of how smooth and easy it was to book. I got an immediate response by Jeffrey the owner, with a fluent communication by phone via whatsapp, and Viber. Jeffrey was very accommodating by offering me the option for pickup at the airport. I traveled by myself and felt very welcomed and safe. My flight arrived in Bs As at 4am, and Aldo one of the drivers was already waiting for me. The property manager, Guillermina was waiting upon my early arrival around 5.30 am outside of the building to handle me the keys and she was also available for any questions throughout my whole stay in Buenos Aires. Exhausted after my early flight, I went right to sleep and Guille was so kind to exchanged some dollars into pesos while I was a sleep. I didn't even hear her coming in. When I woke up fresh, I was ready for my adventures. The apartment was fully equipped, (fresh clean sheets and towels) beautiful balcony as showed in the pictures. The neighborhood is surrounded by lots of local restaurants and stores. I had a great stay. I would totally come back to jeffrey's apartment again soon!"

  • Beautiful Apartment- Great owner - Great manager - Busy street

"This apartment was beautifully done- photos were accurate. It was also outfitted well- everything you would need in the kitchen. I am always very appreciative when the owners make sure there are some basics in the apartment, so you don't need to stock up on things like sugar and salt and dishwashing soap for just a few days. Very considerate! The owner also gives you complete access to the laundry room, so if you need more sheets or towels, or even to wash your clothes- everything is there. The manager, Henry is great- is on top of all problems and tries his best to get them solved quickly as they arise ( as in loss of power or internet). He even managed to get us a reservation to a restaurant we had been unsuccessful in securing. The owner was great to work with. When we did end up having a few problems (that were completely out of her control) she did her best to try to solve, and then ultimately to make it up to us. My only warning (which I shared with the owner) is that this is a VERY busy street, congested with a relentless ribbon of people. The adorable colonial balcony that is shown in the photos was impossible for us to use to sit out there because the retail stores below (discount stores) blasted their sound systems from 9:00 am-9:00 PM. So- if you really like being in the center of it all, you will love this apartment, but if you prefer your people watching to be a little more serene, you might want to try a different section of town. I will say- it is in the heart of things, but know what you're seeking."

  • Character in historic barrio

"This apartment is a nice way to experience living inside a typical San Telmo conventillo, with several lovely, wide doorways, high ceilings, a wrought iron balcony, and a number of modern updates. The pictures are accurate. The kitchen is adequately equipped for basic meal preparation; very nice to have a clothes washer; we especially liked the unique clothes drier. With selective use of the shutters and cross ventilation, we needed the air conditioning only when temperatures exceeded 30 Celcius. Over our two week stay, our sleep was disrupted on three nights by loud music and people noise. Rush hours traffic noise was daily from 4:30 to 7:00PM. The information binder was an excellent reference! Both the owner and her manager were very responsive to our inquiries and concerns. San Telmo is an interesting spot to get immersed in!"

Colombia Travel Tips

Attractions and Activities near Colombia Vacation Rentals

There are many cultural attractions, museums, historic buildings and cultural festivals that make Columbia an attractive destination to visit. Because of its location, Columbia has had many cultural influences, including Indian, Spanish and African influences. This is evident as you explore the many historic sites of the area.

Columbia is considered by many to be an adventure mecca. There is whitewater rafting, jungle trekking, horseback riding, and a variety of extreme sports available. The Pacific coastline is a favorite place for whale watching. Visitors can experience nature and wildlife tours in the Amazon jungle with experienced guides. The beaches are places where you can relax and simply enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings as you soak up the sun.

Colombia Travel Tips

For many years, travelers were warned of visiting Colombia because of the political factions that were regarded as dangerous. In the past decade though, the government has taken strong measures to improve security in order to attract more foreign tourists. Tourist numbers have increases significantly and many travel magazines rate Columbia as top travel destination because of the diverse landscapes and many natural and cultural attractions. It is nevertheless still a destination where you need to be street smart. Don’t leave baggage unattended and don’t walk around the city on your own at night. Take a taxi and have a map or guide book with you so you know where you are going. Don’t display expensive jewelry or cameras when you are walking around. On the plus side, you will be able to find colorful souvenirs to take home and be able to sample what is arguably the world’s best coffee. No doubt you will want to take some home with you but be aware of customs allowances.

Finding Your Way to Colombia Vacation Apartments

The primary airport in Colombia is the El Dorado International Airport in Bogota. The airport is a relatively modern structure and hosts a number of local, regional and international airlines. There are relatively frequent commercial flights to North America. The closest U.S. city is Miami which is a three- to four-hour flight away. New York City is four to five hours away by plane and Los Angeles is eight to nine hours away by plane. For travelers from Europe, there are regularly scheduled commercial flights from both Paris and Madrid. People traveling from other parts of the world can route via any of these hubs or major cities in South America, such as Sao Paolo or Buenos Aires. El Dorado’s central location in the region makes it one of the busiest airports in South America in terms of transporting both passengers and cargo. If you are traveling to another destination in Colombia, it is best to fly. While there are good road links, traveling times can be long because of the many mountain passes that need to be navigated.

Cartagena Vacation Rentals in Colombia
