"This New Year's vacation was celebrated amongst a small group of friends at this lovely location. The pictures definitely do the property justice: well-kept and comfortable. We weren't short of anything we really need. The surrounding area of trees/snow and just plain nature were beautiful. So peaceful. We were able to sled down some slopes right next to the cabin. Respectable neighborhood of nice people. The lake is literally a short walk away and Homewood Ski Resort is just around the corner. Not gonna lie, we were a loud, laughing bunch. We were just really excited to have found and celebrated at this great location. The owner made the whole process smooth sailing and was accommodating until the very end. Bring your firewood starters or fireplace experience because it will be much needed. We came after a couple days of snowfall so our van made use of snow chains. Fun adventures, no complaints at all!"

"When I booked out winter vacation for my family (wife, two teenage boys, and eleven year old daughter) the primary focus leading up to the trip was the anticipation of skiing the famed slopes surrounding the Tahoe Lake for the first time. To our sheer surprise, and delight, the lake front home we stayed in took center stage. As great as the skiing was, it rivaled the experience my family had in this special place. We enjoyed this home so much, we found it difficult to leave! The result, quality time with my family. The home has many modern amenities and conveniences, but the love and warmth that emanates from every room in the house, as a result of how it is built, decorated, and adorned with pictures and relics from around the world, promote an earthy yet progressive atmosphere that made us want to call this place home! I can write a short essay on it, but I won't because I'd spend a chapter just talking about the view over Lake Tahoe as the sun came up in the morning or went down at night. I'll leave you with this, if you're going to Lake Tahoe in the winter to ski or the summer for water sports, this "resort" can only enhance your experience...it certainly did ours, and we have the stories, pictures, and memories that in many respects will not lead back to the mountains of Tahoe, but the time we spent in this home."

"I normally don't take time to write positive reviews as often as I should. However, the entire experience in renting and staying at this cabin was so easy, straightforward and the cabin itself was perfect for our family. I appreciate the cabin is set up in a way that we didn't have to worry about logistics while we were there. All the instructions etc. are set up logically and straightforward. The cabin itself is wonderful. We had enough room to have privacy (with the split level) but it also has a wonderful family/living room which was cozy with books and video tapes/DVDs to enjoy. My 7 year old saw his first VHS tape there. : )
Although the snow conditions were marginal, we had a wonderful time bike riding and enjoying Homewood, Tahoma and Tahoe City. Great location, great cabin. Highly recommend."

"My husband and adult son and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. What an exceptional place! Take (what must have been) an old, tiny and undoubtedly ramshackle Tahoe cabin and turn it into a delightful 2 BR/1 Ba little gem. I don't think they increased the footprint, but the finishes, architectural detail and designer touches more than make up for the small square footage. A large open living/dining/kitchen area with a lovely large fireplace, high ceilings and comfortable furniture. Master bedroom with a king is very comfortable with a large closet. 2nd bedroom is great for kids or 1/2 adults. Our son is 6'3" so found the bed a trifle small but still adequate. The bathroom with steam shower and double shower heads was great. Hot tub on front deck was perfect after a day of hiking and snow shoeing. Owner was very helpful, responsive. We had trouble with the TV but they came right down to help us out. Will definitely stay again."
