"This was our 4th year spending a week on 30-A and we finally found the perfect beach house! We stayed with another family of 4 so there was 8 of us total (4 adults/4kids) and there was way more than enough room. We also entertained for dinner several nights and never felt crowded. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need to cook and feel at home. The location is really what makes this house unique, being a short distance from the side path into Rosemary combines the best of both worlds. You have the close proximity to Rosemary, without staying in the tight quarters of Rosemary. (We stay up too late & play our music too loud for Rosemary!) And unless you spend the extra money to rent ON the beach, you won't get much closer than the Coast is Clear. I was worried that overflow from Rosemary residents would crowd our beach but finding a spot on the ocean was never a problem. And the house itself is amazing. The decor is just right for what I look for in a beach house; cute, eclectic, and not too fancy. No one wants to feel guilty about the sand you drag in from the beach! And what can I say about the wrap around porch? The table was great for outside dinners and the "lounge" area was perfect for late-night cocktails. The private pool is a must-have for us and worked well for our 4 kids. The pool is about as big as you will find in a private residence on 30-A, which is not huge so we just had to watch the kids closely so they didn't jump on each other! But there were plenty of water toys, boogie boards, and sand toys at the house which was a nice edition. The owner, Julia, was really easy to work with and had a quick response to all my questions. I've dealt with management companies in the past and found the experience to be difficult. Renting directly from Julia made it feel like I was renting a friend's house for the week. I could go on and on but you get idea...it really was a great week and we look forward to returning soon! Thanks for sharing your beach house!"Guest: Kara K. "We lived in this area for years so already know that this area is the best place to vacation. This was our second year to stay in this condo & love it. Great community, conveniently located to beach access, two pools, and wonderful restaurants. Every morning you can see people out walking or bicycling. It is a very safe community to get out an run, walk, or bicycle. This owner & community set the stage for a vacation for comfort! Thank you so much for accommodating our family again. Rosemary Beach Travel Tips
This slice of paradise is no stranger to romantic sunsets, crowdless white sand beaches or a welcoming community atmosphere. As a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida's Gulf Coast, Rosemary Beach stretches across 107 acres of gorgeous coastline with warm weather year-round.
To sweeten the deal, this Gulf-front town features a scenic bike trail, called the 30A Bike Trail or the Timpoochee Trail, that winds through the nearby beach communities and coastal dune lakes. After you work up an appetite, head to one of the specialty restaurants built into the city's commercial architecture that's reminiscent of Old World charm.
If you're still not sold, you can take advantage of the quaint town center and luxurious amenities, such as tennis courts pools and plenty of green space, to complement its sandy shores. Truly, Rosemary Beach is an ideal sun-and-sand vacation. Come one, come all - your beachside getaway is waiting for you.
For those coming by plane, the best way to get here is through the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, which is located about 20 miles away. If you're driving, head down Interstate 10 until you reach U.S. Highway 331, then take it south toward U.S. Highway 20. From there, make your way south down Highway 79 where you'll see signs for Rosemary Beach.
Best Things to Do
Hang Out on the Beach: Of course, the main draw of Rosemary is its majestic beach. Find a spot under a canopy on the glimmering white shores and spend your day relaxing while the waves come crashing in. If you want a little more action, head to the Butterfly Garden on the northwest corner of the area to play bocce ball.
30A Farmers Market: Get a taste of West Indies culture at 30A Farmers Market every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. At this quaint market, you'll walk through a beautiful park-like setting at the Town Center to find fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, homemade breads and local seafood. Bring the kids along to sample sweet treats, pies, and cupcakes. It's a family that everyone of all ages can enjoy.
Bike Along the 30A Bike Trails: With weather as fine as the vistas in Rosemary, there's never a bad time to bike around the city. Rent all of the gear at Bamboo Bicycle Company, which has bikes for everyone from toddlers to grandparents, and cruise along the 30A Trail, running from Dune Allen Beach to Rosemary Beach. Locals will tell you it's one of the best ways to check out the coast. If you want to try something new, opt for the tandem bike for a bike experience twice the fun!
Wine and Dine
Restaurant Paradis: When you think of fine dining, places like Restaurant Paradis come to mind. This small yet elegant spot serves up delectable steaks and seafood complemented by a bottle of wine. Throughout the year, they offer wine dinners and tastings from some of California's exclusive vintners. You can even choose to eat in the dining room, lounge or outside on the patio.
Cowgirl Kitchen: At Cowgirl Kitchen, the whole family can enjoy a casual, fun atmosphere for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For youngsters, the chicken nachos are a hit, while parents tend to savor the drunken shrimp tacos. If you're looking for happy hour, there are six beers on tap and a wide selection of frozen Fat Tuesday daiquiris on Mondays through Thursdays.
Edward's Fine Food & Wine: How does Southern-infused dining with a wine bar sound? At the helm of Edward's kitchen is chef Ed Reese, who's known for staying true to simple and delicious flavors. Crowd favorites on the menu include baked oysters and the pan?-roasted fish of the day. No reservations are needed, and children are always welcome.
