Sanibel, Captiva, and Lover's Key are beautiful with shelling, beaches, scenic trail's, and getting around is easy with bike and scooter rental's in about every area , but just driving if you want is a nice scenic tour as well .Bike's are provided along with beach chair's, umbrella, pool float's and lot's of towel's. Time's Square and Pier, and numerous other eaterie's are a short drive with lot's of shopping and food if you don't want to cook.2 Publix and other store's if you want to grocery shop. Plenty of fishing tour's, parasailing and lot's more. AnnMarie is a delight and very helpful. Hoping to book again for next year."

  • Fantastic!

"We have returned home to Kentucky from a fabulous week in beautiful Ft. Myers Beach. We enjoyed this home so much it is hard to put it into words. We had never stayed at a condo that provided chairs and an umbrella for the beach. It was very warm last week, and we used the umbrella on those hot afternoons at the beach. The water is literally a few steps away. The condo is beautifully decorated and supplied with all you need for a fantastic vacation. The kitchen is updated and very user friendly. The view is spectacular! Steve was wonderful to work with and the rental was so easy. All the people at Smuggler's Cove were great! We visit the area every fall and will look this one up again for sure! I hope it is available when we need it! You won't go wrong with this one!"

  • Wonderful Week!

"This condo was so clean and the décor was beautiful! It was large enough for 3 adults and two children with room to spare. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from the large, screened lanai and it was a very short walk to the beach. The pool are was very well kept. It was by far the most well stocked condo we have rented. The owners thought of everything including beach towels and toys! We would definitely rent here again next year."

  • Already looking forward to next year!

"We had such a great time during our week at the beach. The views are breathtaking. I loved sitting on the lanai and having coffee, listening to the birds & waves. The penthouse is not only beautiful, it is comfortable from the beds, to the furniture. What a fantastic family getaway. It is nice for everyone to have their own room. Another really great thing is that everyone can comfortably sit and have meals together. You don't have to bring anything except your clothes and food if you plan on cooking. The only problem with it is......you won't want to leave :)"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
