great condo, great location
"Condo is in excellent condition and very clean. Best possible location as you can walk to the beach, sunset viewing spot, and are a very short drive away from princeville center and from Hanalei Bay. Thought no a/c could be a problem, but it was fine without a/c, we just slept with the windows open."

The perfect place for 10 nights! Anini beach only steps away
"3 couples stayed here for 10 nights and we were all very comfortable. There is a view of the ocean through the dining room window and Anini beach is only steps away. This beach was calm and I'm told it has good snorkeling and sea turtles, but we never saw any here. We saw the most turtles over on the South side. The weather wasn't perfect during our stay, but it was still paradise and we snapped the most amazing sunrise photo with the sun coming up behind Kilauea light house. When we needed something from the owner, Clover, I simply texted her and it was kindly delivered to our doorstep (extra fans or whatever). The house is extremely comfortable with tons of extras (towels/beach chairs/snorkel gear/books/movies) and I liked that there is a washer/dryer, recycling and composting!! Seating at the bar area in the kitchen could use a few more tall chairs, as we all seemed to gather there. We cooked most of our meals at home and went to foodland nearly every day. If you like POKE, this is the place to get it! We spent a lot of time in Hanalei and loved Calypsos!! We drove to the end of the North side a few times to Ke'e Beach (good sunset). We ate at Sushi Girl! If she offers the honeycomb roll...TRY IT! We hiked the Napali Coast to the beach. That took like 4-5 hours, but is the most amazing view you will ever see. You must drive the Waimea Canyon and take a boat ride to the Napali Coast! When on the west side, be sure to catch the sunset at Salt Pond Beach. This was actually our favorite beach on the island and the sunsets are amazing! Not enough attention is given to Queens Bath either, which was only a 5 min drive from the house, in Princeville. There is a small, but gorgeous walk to an expansive cliff view over lava rock(wear your reef shoes). We saw several turtles here and a cliff jumper! On the way out, we stopped at the small, but picturesque waterfall. Its only about hip deep and you can get in and let the water fall onto your back. Its just beautiful in there! Watch out for the RED MUD. The South side is dryer, but the North side is one big botanical garden. If you spend ANY time whatsoever in a forested area, keep bug spray on hand. Mosquitos are relentless.
We loved this location, the house and our time on Kauai!! Oh and one special shout out to Clover, who saved us when our car battery had died!! We would have missed our flight home if she hadn't given us a jump! Thanks Clover, for everything!"

"My husband and I have been coming to Kauai for almost 30 years. About 20 years ago, the property manager for the Fortune Cottage (Therese) saved us when we rented another Anini cottage that was a nightmare. She had an unexpected opening at the Fortune, we moved in and we have been coming back ever since. Therese is gracious, accommodating and is quick to help! The cottage is perfect for a couple. The master bedroom has a comfortable bed and is open and airy. The second bedroom is perfect for storing all of your gear! Nice kitchen and exquisite views from the living area. The only thing that would improve the house is a covered lanai (it is nice to be outside in the sun or rain). Thank you, Therese, for 20 years of bliss at Anini!!!!!!!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay in Kauai and especially on the North shore. Kauai is Paradise on earth! Princeville is nearby to Hanalei Valley, Queen´s Bath is just a short walk away and you just have a short drive to the best beaches on the Island (Tunnel, Kee, Anini…..) and the breathtaking Na Pali coastline. The views were awesome and unforgettable. The townhouse was spacious, clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The location is quite and convenient to all outdoor activities, shopping and restaurants. We will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Alex for making our stay great! It was a wonderful time there and hopefully we can turn back."
