  • Beautiful Condo and Great Location

"This condo has everything you could possibly need! The owners have thought of everything! The beds are very comfortable and the decor is lovely. We stayed so busy that we really didn't get to enjoy just being in the condo enough. My husband did manage to catch two trout right at our back door. The river is indescribably beautiful. In the mornings the fog rolls down the river and it is breathtaking. My daughter and grandson went to the pool and hot tub and said they were very nice. It is very peaceful and quiet there but in a very central location with easy access to all attractions. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Well kept, very clean and Lots of space

"We had 5 couples from 3 states converge together for a week of fun. The house is lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped. The owner lives next door and was always helpful if you need anything. There's a steep hill to get to the boat dock, but a great dock to swim off of. Thanks for a memorable week."

  • Quiet, clean, and oh-so-chic!

"5 moms looking for a quiet escape had a grand time on the island! The condo was ultra cute, clean, and comfortable with a fantastic view of the main channel. The owner, Paula, was super nice and quick to respond to our pleas for help. She provided information about rentals, good places to eat, and the ferry. This condo is a deal and the ferry (which will be replaced with a land bridge in fall, 2014, I understand) is a fun adventure! Just plan your trips off on the island to leave at the top of the hour. Or stay on the island the whole time, like we did! If you are going to be doing any extra fancy cooking, you might want to bring any special supplies you may need. The kitchen is nicely equipped with basic supplies (blender, toaster, measuring cups and spoons, cheese grater, some bowls, a few cutting knives, a few pans, cooking spoons and spatulas, some cooking glassware, a can opener, cutting mats, a few food storage containers, spoons, forks, knives, plates, glasses, plastic cups -- almost all the basic supplies!). We wished we had packed a wine opener (which the condo typically has and Paula kindly offered to bring out to us (!!), but we found a helpful neighbor instead). The condo also provides 4 beach towels, kitchen towels, plenty of bath towels, some reusable grocery bags, sample sizes of shampoo and soap, a little bottle of liquid dish soap, a roll of paper towels, a couple dishwasher soap packs, and some fabric soap*. If you're staying longer than a weekend, you might want to pack trash bags, toilet paper, more dishwasher soap packs, a bigger bottle of liquid dish soap, extra paper towels, more dishwasher soap packs, and more laundry supplies. *Some of these may have been left over from a previous renter. I don't want to claim that the home-owner will always provide these things! The pool is very nice with a great view of the lake and a kid-friendly zero-entry end. The beach chairs a bit short on number (especially on Saturday) and there is no shade, so if you are inclined, we recommend throwing in that beach umbrella and a couple of chairs. We had a GREAT time relaxing on the deck (that's where we ate our meals), sleeping in, vegging by the pool, and generally enjoying ourselves. Other condo-owners were nice and helpful. I highly recommend this condo as a fun, relaxing place to stay! We're hoping to go back next time we're at the lake!"

  • Best Deal at the Lake

"I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Whenever someone is charging less than half of everyone else, I always worry that the cheapskate in me might ruin my chance to have a nice vacation. This couldn't be farther from the truth with this property. This home was fantastic. I suspect the price is due to the fact that this is second tier home. But, it has all the benefits of a lakefront home. It has a great lake view from the large windows pictured in the front of the house, and the only home between it and the lake is a house owned by the owners' parents (everything that the reviewers have written about the parents is spot on; wonderfully nice people). So, the home essentially has its own private dock, with an awesome swim up area, in one of the quietest parts of the lake! The walk is approx. 150 ft. It's steep but there are stairs, so it's not like you are walking down a gravel hill or anything like that. The home itself was very nice. The owner had towels, kitchen utensils, charcoal grill, laundry, etc. Everything you would need for a stay at the lake. Added bonus was the garage because it was upper nineties the whole weekend we were there. Whatever AC issues were mentioned in the other post have certainly been resolved (they had the place like an igloo when we arrived). Driveway is steep, but there is parking for two cars without anyone having to park on the steep driveway (if you are planning to have three vehicles, parking could get tricky; something to ask the owners about if you need three spaces; otherwise, no parking issues). I think I remember reading a post about pet hair being present, but I saw no traces of that. The whole home was very clean when we arrived. The property with the zebras, camel, donkeys, and llamas is about a mile away. That was cool. We did not stop at the property but it was fun to drive by them each day. Owner provided contact numbers if any problems arose. I didn't have any need to use these numbers so I have no opinion either way on that part. I genuinely have no complaints about this home. The in-season price can't be beaten. The home had all the benefits I needed. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. I legitimately left thinking that I want to carve out one long weekend every year to bring my family back. I will never stay at another place if they are willing to have me back."
