"We had a lovely week at the Bogarts' Bed & Breakfast. Patty and Mark were wonderful hosts. We had a yummy breakfast our first morning there, it was sooo good. We traveled all the back byways and were glad to get back to our "Baker City" home each evening. We didn't see any wild life in our travels except for the squirrels in their beautiful back yard, and a family of quails that live somewhere close to their yard. They were fun to watch. If our travels take us back to Eastern Oregon, we know where we will stay."Guest: Lori Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 11, 2014View listing
"This is an absolutely beautiful home. I would like to go and just spend time there perhaps sitting on one of the chairs on the porch. The wood work and exposed beams make it stylishly rustic. A deer spent a few hours right outside watching us-watching him from different windows. This is a beautfiul property."Guest: molly Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 24, 2014View listing
"If your looking for the perfect retreat this is the place. The lodge accommodated our entire family, with plenty of room for visits from friends and family. Decorated beautifully and all the modern conveniences. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a large family meal and sit around the dining room table. The slide off the back deck made me feel like a kid again. The creek, the stars in the evening, hanging laundry on the clothes line brought back wonderful memories while enjoying new ones. Only 4 miles from Main Street. Wonderful town with friendly wonderful people. Looking forward to our next visit."Guest: Traveler Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 26, 2014View listing
"We stayed at Karin's home in early September, and I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. I travel extensively and use VRBO frequently, and I was far more satisfied with the amenities and cleanliness of the property than I have been at other homes. From the beginning, Karin was wonderful to work with -- responsive, honest and responsible. We had no issues during our stay, but I'm sure she would have been readily available should we have needed her. We filled the house with 6 adults, 2 dogs and 2 babies. We brought our own pack n' plays and high chairs, and we thought that there was plenty of floorspace for all of us. The smallest bedroom with a full bed was a cozy squeeze for one couple, but Karin was very clear from the beginning about the size of her home and even advised against bringing so many adults! The downstairs/main floor was beautifully decorated and plenty spacious -- yes a few people sat on the floor when we were all inside in the evenings, but that's what we usually do with babies anyway. We cooked several meals for all of us and found the kitchen to be more than sufficient (and without Teflon-leaching pans -- I don't know what that review was about.) Couldn't find a cheese grater, though! Yes, the bathroom and shower are small. It's a mountain cabin. It was clean and functional, though! We brought our 22 ft fiberglass boat, and easily docked it at the house. We had a fantastic time out on the lake every day -- glad we brought our wetsuits so late in the season! As other reviews have stated, there are lots of stairs and the ramp to the floating dock is steep without a hand rail. This is not a good property for unsure-footed individuals. But it can't be beat for a lake house in the beautiful Wallowas!"Guest: Kate R. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 16, 2014View listing
