-- The Space --
After life as the "Many Pines" tree nursery for decades the property became a home in the 1950s. This cottage has since been tastefully renovated with a full bathroom, jetted tub, wood fireplace and living area with a fridge and microwave. When you step out the door 2 acres of streams, trees and grass welcome you. There is a large patio where you can relax and spend time with your favorite person in the hot tub or by the fire

Staying here feels like stepping into Colorado's past where history comes to life with every charming detail.

One of the best things about this property is its proximity to exploration and attractions. You can head deeper into the mountains and visit Woodland Park or down into Colorado Springs within 10 minutes. Some of the highlights close by:

- Pikes Peak
- Garden of the Gods
- Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
- United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- Manitou Incline
- U.S. Air Force Academy
- North Cheyenne Cañon Park
- Glen Eyrie Castle
- Seven Falls
- Hiking Trails
- Mountain Lakes

We fully stock the cottage with coffee, tea, seasonings, dishes, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, towels and more. The smart TV has a couple paid streaming services logged in and others available.

We don't ask our guests to complete any chores upon checkout so you can make the most of your day.

The living area has space to cuddle up and read a good book, eat dinner, play games or watch a movie.

The yard on the property has plenty of space for activities and the patio by the creek is a fun common area where you can sit by the fire and listen to the water bubbling under the trees.

-- Guest Access --
Booked guests and pets enjoy private access to the cottage. You are welcome to take advantage of the hot tub, BBQ grill, yard and patio seating area and wade in the stream

-- Pets --
We allow pets. If you are traveling with pets please select "I am traveling with pets" at time of booking

-- Other Details --
The cottage is a private entrance/space. The hot tub/patio is shared with 1 other unit elsewhere on the property

The cottage does not have AC. Fan and evaporative air cooler are provided. Because of the elevation, the shade from the hills and trees above and the proximity to the creek lack of AC is rarely an issue

About the host

Hosted by Kimmy

Host profile image
Kimmy and Jesh fell in love on the opposite of the world in Abu Dhabi but both share a lot of the mountains and all things outdoors. Our huge “puppy” Dawg goes everywhere with us and would love to meet you if you are so inclined. If you have questions about anything Jesh has lived in Colorado Springs most of his life and can tell you all the best places to hike, bike, camp or visit

Why they chose this property

We wanted to live next to a year round creek and not feel trapped in a city. This location is nestled in the mountains but still be close to friends/family

What makes this property unique

It's hard to find a place close to all the activities Colorado Springs offers but still be in the mountains with the trees/water. On the property there is a full size Illinois Central Railroad caboose representing the historic railroad that used to run directly past the property 100 years ago
