Finca La Cañota is a traditional estate located in the Lecrin Valley with 4 beautiful rooms and 7 beautiful apartments. If you opt for a holiday full of peace, space and relaxation, you have come to the right place at Finca La Cañota. Our authentic accommodations are fully tailored to a stay for adults. As Adults Only accommodation, Finca La Cañota welcomes guests aged 18 and over. A good atmosphere, respect for other guests and respect for accommodation and surroundings are our top priority.

The estate was built by a wealthy Andalusian family in the period from 1940 to 1945 and consists of a large house (450 m2), 4 stables (200 m2), a large swimming pool (7 x 11 m) and a large garden with mainly orange trees ( 2500 m2). On the first floor, 2 attractive apartments and 4 beautiful rooms have been realized in the main house. A beautiful apartment for the disabled, a common room and the apartment of the owners have been created on the ground floor. The stables have been renovated into 4 beautiful apartments. All this has been carried out according to the quality requirements and the conveniences of modern times, but with respect for the original details and the loving appreciation of the original Andalusian owners. Excellent WiFi is available on the entire estate. The rooms and apartments are furnished with the original furniture, authentic decorations and utensils. Because of all this, the estate exudes the atmosphere of rich colonial Spain from 100 years ago. This has created a unique holiday destination that cannot be compared to any other. Some guests sometimes jokingly say that it looks more like a "local museum" than a holiday destination!

Location and climate

Finca La Cañota is located in the center of the village of Talará, within walking distance of all local amenities: three mini-markets, various shops (clothing, butcher, bakery, hairdresser, etc.) three banks with cash machines, the town hall of Lecrin, a general practitioner post , a pharmacy, a post office, two gas stations, a primary school and an outdoor swimming pool that is open in July and August. There are also several bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink with a free tapa, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Talará is the municipal capital of the municipality of Lecrin. The villages of Talará, Acequias, Chite, Mondújar, Murchas and Béznar belong to the municipality of Lecrin. Because all local facilities are located in Talará, the residents of all these villages come to Talará. It is therefore a fresh, young, cozy village where there is always something going on. In the summer, a breeze usually lights up in the afternoon, which makes the feeling of temperature during the siesta more pleasant. In the fall the days are still nice and warm and the nights gradually become cooler. The winters are fresh and clear with relatively little rain. It rarely freezes. The clear blue skies contrast beautifully with the snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
