Casa Estrela is an oasis of calm, a spacious villa in a commanding position with beautiful views over the Algarve countryside towards the Ria Formosa, Faro, Olhão and the Atlantic Ocean.

For your exclusive use, this isolated and spectacular villa lies 15km north of Faro centre and is fully equipped with air conditioning and 350Mb fibre internet. With a large private pool and stunning sea views, 'the Casa' is the perfect escape for families and groups of up to ten people in its five bedrooms.

A car is essential.

Situated in private grounds of roughly 3 acres and set within an environmental area, Casa Estrela offers a peaceful and secluded escape only 20 minutes from Faro airport and half an hour from the Algarve's beautiful beaches. The private 11x6m swimming pool is accessed through landscaped gardens and is situated on a lower terrace where there is a traditional BBQ, a pool house with separate kitchenette, and plenty of shaded patios.

Please note that the pool is between 1.1m and 2.7m deep, so please accompany any children at all times.

Amazing villa, so spacious, lots of areas for people to read, sunbathe, chill, play ping pong. Scenic views across the hills and Faro (in the distance). Pool is deep and large and a great outdoor BBQ area with small kitchen and bathroom by the pool. Diving board was a huge plus with the kids. Location is really quiet, peaceful and idyllic location. The hosts were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and information about the area. Wonderful holiday.

Stunning villa set amongst beautiful traditional Portuguese countryside, high enough to have an amazing view out to the sea in the distance. Instructions were clear and helpful before arrival and the villa is well catered for every need. Extremely comfortable for a large family. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge / study area is great to chill in the evenings. We enjoyed eating outside on the veranda and the kids loved the take tennis! The pool is beautiful, well kept and has sun loungers and seats for everyone in our party, with the added benefit of an additional kitchen and toilet nearby, to save going back up the villa. The grounds and gardens are very pretty, adding to the beauty of the villa and making it a little sanctuary in the quiet hillside.Easy 20 minute drive from Faro Airport and close by to Loule, Villamora, Sao Bras and Albufeira - whether you’re looking for coastline and inland adventures. Highly recommend - excellent!

Lovely villa, very spacious, pictures dont do it justice. Very quiet location, so car definitely needed. Some lovely restaurants in the nearby villages. Only downside is the track up to the villa is very narrow & made even more so by bushes

Superb secluded villa

Spent two weeks at Casa Estrela with a family of six. Villa is very spacious and well away from any other properties. The pool is deep with a diving board the kids enjoyed. Spent most of our time here relaxing. Villa has everything you need for self catering. Supermarkets are a 10 minute drive away. Water parks and the coast are 30-40 minutes drive for a day out. If you want a quiet relaxing family holiday this villa can’t be faulted. Lovely views down to the coast. Villa is built to be cool but aircon in every room helps in the hot nights. Paul the owner was very helpful on WhatsApp. Overall we had a wonderful holiday. Highly recommend Casa Estrela

Perfect luxury villa

Wow! Casa Estrela is absolutely stunning and the photos cannot prepare you for the views out to the sea. The information emailed by Paul the owner before arrival was very helpful and detailed - make sure to read it fully before arrival for instructions on accessing the house. The main bedroom is huge, with its own en suite and large balcony. The house is perfect for large groups and we will be bringing our family here at a later date. The pool is wonderful and set on its own terrace, which gives a nice alternative for meals (a BBQ and kitchenette down here). You definitely need a car to make the most of the area, as the villa is set up a long private drive. We enjoyed the local beaches and the palace of Estoi and Roman ruins nearby. However, Casa Estrela has absolutely everything you need and you could quite happily never leave the villa Thank you so much for such an incredible stay, you have a truly beautiful villa. We look forward to staying again!

Superbe maison, un peu isolée de tout mais très calme avec vue sur la mer au loin.Piscine très agréable avec une belle infrastructure à proximité. Il n'y a pas de petite profondeur pour les jeunes enfants. La couverture wifi est limitée dans les chambres. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour en famille.

Amazing place

Far from the crowded Algarve, we could have an experience of pure relaxation. The house is amazing, with astonishing views of the nature until the sea and the pool is superb. Very well equiped and prepared for large groups too

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Casa Estrela when we first visited the Algarve as a family in the early '90s, renting it from the family who built it in 1987. We stayed twice more before moving on, but always had it in our minds as somewhere we might one day own. Our dream came true in 2012 - and it has certainly kept us busy ever since...

What makes this property unique

We have been letting the house for seven years now, and the reviews say it all. A peaceful haven, not overlooked, stunning views, a pool and pool house on a separate terrace meaning families and groups can feel like they are having separate holidays in one place. The terraces around the villa offer plenty of shade, and the gardens are a lovely place to relax. Guests can enjoy stargazing or watching the lights of Faro and its lighthouse, while sitting outside at night with a glass of wine - we have just bought a new suite of outdoor furniture to make it an even more comfortable experience...
