About Kandy Holt
We live in Knoxville TN and have been spending summers on the lake most of our lives. We have 3 boys and never have a shortage of their friends who love to swim, ski, and fish. We love being able to share our home with other families and small groups who like us, need a break from reality and need to breathe in God's wonderful creation.
Kandy Holt purchased this House in 2006
Why Kandy Holt chose Jefferson County
We purchased this lake front property due to the beautiful views, year round water, peaceful neighborhood and easy access to Historic Dandridge and several other tourist attractions.
What makes this House unique
This property has more lake front acreage than any other home in Paradise Landing Resort. It is conveniently located to many tourist sites in both TN and NC, including the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY!!!
Place was very well equipped and was just like the pictures. We stayed with 2 families of 4 and everything was awesome!!!! This is the perfect lake house!!!!
Lovely lake house
Fun family time. We canoed, kayaked and enjoyed the view under the beautiful full moon. The house is so cozy! My son fished. We had campfires and s’mores each night. It’s a perfect setting for family time!
Lovely and relaxing
Well stocked home with wonderful views and access to the lake. Plenty of room for 2 families to have space. Lake is low in March.
All you could ask for!
We had a wonderful long weekend with extended family at the Rusty Hook. The house is spacious, clean, and well-stocked. It is even prettier than the pictures. The owners, Kandy and Tim, were wonderful and easy to work with. I highly recommend Rusty Hook!
Beautiful, secluded, spacious...exactly what we needed!
The property was exactly how the pictures show. It's in the middle of nowhere and only a short drive to so much. Kandy was awesome to deal with--friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Our group had a great time and would definitely stay again in the future!
We had a very awesome trip. House was deficiently big enough for the 12 of use. The lake is low at this time of year but still enjoyable. We loved the fire pit and the fire place. There isn't to much besides your cloths you'll need to bring. Cell phone reception was ok but your in the mountains, who wants to be bothered anyways. There are life vest down by the boat dock ramp and we also left four new orange vest in house, you'll need them if your planning to use boats. Its Tenn law that anyone under the age of 13 have to wear one and there must be enough vest for every other person on vessel. We did buy license's to fish but probably could of gotten away with not having them because never saw Wildlife officer, better safe then sorry. We would highly rec The Rusty Hook and would love to rent in spring or fall. The drive in to Cabin was fun for me but if you get motion sickness better get Bodine, my wife took them every time we left because I just had to much fun, you'll see !!!!
This property has enough space to hike and enjoy the outdoors year round. But it is also a great location to use as a central hub while you go on some day trips: The Great Smokey Mountains, Ripley's Aquarium, and Gatlinburg are 40 miles away. Shopping in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are 30 miles away. Carvers Orchard and Applehouse Restaurant, TN Smokies Minor League Baseball stadium, Bass Pro Shop and Forbidden Caverns are less than 20 miles away. Historic Dandridge is about 10 miles away. Knoxville, TN is 45 miles away and Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC is 75 miles away. Nearest Grocery: Food City in Dandridge or Super Walmart in Newport
