The house was great. Rooms are more spacious than they appear. Big deck to fit a lot of people. There’s a fire pit so bring some wood. Would definitely recommend staying here again. Steve is very nice, welcoming, and helpful.
Perfect place for my brothers bachelor party
Stayed here with a few friends 5 or so years ago in the winter and the place was awesome. When I saw the place while looking for my brothers bachelor party I knew I had to book it. Was just as fun in the end of summer as it was in the winter. Everyone had a great time. The driveway was a little tough to navigate(no 4 wheel drive for us) and even with all the light fixtures the house has a tendency to be dark but that just being nit picky. Would 100% recommend staying here.
House is spacious enough to relax in a corner with a good book, play any one of several available games or go outside to enjoy nature/lake. The kids loved the bunk house (room) and game room after a day on the lake. The large deck & fire pit just adds to a perfect end of the day. It has spectacular views and everything is so close (local grocery stores, restaurants and gas if you have a boat). The house is laid out in such a way that with a large family and 2 large Mal's one could go hours without seeing anyone (perfect for teens and parents) We would recommend this house to anyone!
We rented this house along with a smaller house down the road for a group vacation for five families that have been vacationing together for 14 years. It was perfect for our group. The large and well-equipped kitchen with a huge refrigerator and freezer and the big dining table made it easy for us to prepare meals for 20 people. The living room is packed with comfortable furniture so everyone had a place to sit and chat, read, or play a game. The outside deck had beautiful views of the lake with enough trees to provide shade and privacy as well. The u-shaped dock had plenty of room for our rented boat and for people to be able to swim and socialize on the water. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful but just minutes from a grocery store, homemade ice cream shop, and other amenities.
The downstairs game room has a pool table and a foosball table and has an additional refrigerator that was great for drinks. The laundry room has a large capacity washer and dryer. There were labels on the switches, making it easy to figure out how to turn everything on and off. The owner, Steve, was there when we arrived to give us a tour of the house. He could not have been more friendly or helpful.
As has been noted in some other reviews, one of the bedrooms that has a queen bed is only accessible by walking through another bedroom with a queen bed. This might be important for some guests to know in advance. The big bunkroom was great for our group of six teens/young adults.
There are plenty of parking spaces. The area is wooded but there is a flat lawn area big enough to play yard games. We enjoyed the fire ring in the back yard as well.
I would plan another stay at this house in a heartbeat!
Intergenerational Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time celebrating our family. The kitchen was our focal point- meals created using a heavy duty stove/oven with two dishwashers and a magnificently long table! The table turned into a game area of coloring sheets, hearts cards game, and Yahtzee players. The kitchen was well represented in the pictures. The living room picture needs to be updated. We did however enjoy the four couches, five stuffed chairs, large TV. We had to adjust family bedroom plans. I didn’t realize two bedrooms were connected together. I was pleased to see the railing was added to get to the dock. I needed assistance getting onto the dock, but loved the water. The fire pit was a hit. The turquoise chairs needed replaced before we got there- slight breakages in the plastic. The dark green chairs were heavier and in excellent condition. Steve was very helpful with guiding us in lighting the pilot light in the oven. It was a great place stretch out and relax. Thanks for sharing with us.
Such a Great Lake house! Steve is accommodating and is so helpful!! He has always made our vacation so enjoyable and we have continued to rent the house multiple years. This is always a awesome vacation week thanks to Steve!!
