An unforgettable stay!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Lynda, whose kindness and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. The house is simply beautiful, tastefully decorated, and offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully thought out to make guests feel at home. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a charming place and impeccable hospitality. We will definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful property in Opio. The area is beautiful, the house was excellent, the pool and pool house were fabulous and Lynda and Chris were delightful and could not have been more helpful. Only downside was that we had to leave!!!

Great Pool and amazing view

We stayed in August during a very hot 35 degrees and it was fantastic to have such a lovely pool to keep us cool and entertained. After a walk to the bakery (20 mins each way), I looked forward to the swim as a reward. The property is on a hill with beautiful views and a nice breeze coming off the sea. You can just about see Antibes and Cannes and you get a nice fireworks display during August. The villa has plenty of space and different seating areas. We loved reading in the pool/BBQ outdoor house and eating outside at the table overlooking the pool. You definitely need a car but we found a lovely restaurant in Opio that is just about walkable (15 mins) We were a family of 4 so there is plenty of room and the ground and 1st floor bedrooms are comfortable and have a/c. The shower in the main ground floor bedroom was the best and the whole family preferred using that. Tbh, we didn't like the downstairs bedroom as it felt like a basement. The owners live in this house and move out when it is rented (rather than it being designed as a rental) and as a result, everything works and flows well. If you are looking for a villa near Opio I would certainly look at this one.

Wonderful week at an amazing villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous villa. The photos on BVBO are all accurate - but still don't do the home justice; the breadth of the open view south towards and over the sea from the house and various terraces are breathtaking. Lynda and Chris are the nicest, most helpful hosts we have had yet on a VRBO villa-- and really contributed to us enjoying our stay. We thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return ourselves!

Excellent Stay in incredible villa

Superb villa and very friendly and accommodating hosts Lynda and Chris who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Very spacious, clean, with fantastic kitchen and multiple outdoor spaces for dining and relaxing. Beautiful views over the hills to the sea. Highly recommend!

Traumhaus für 10 Personen

Wir waren mit einer befreundeten Familie (2 x 4 Personen) für eine Woche in diesem tollen Haus. Man kann sich hier nur wohlfühlen! Unsere Kinder waren im Alter von 9 & 17 sowie 10 & 17. Der Pool ist sauber und gepflegt. Es gibt viele Sitzmöglichkeiten ... drinnen, draußen ... überdacht und nicht. Der Garten ist beleuchtet. Man kann wunderschöne Abende auf der Terrasse verbringen und ins Tal sowie aufs Meer schauen. Im Haus ist alles, was man für seinen Aufenthalt brauchen kann. Wirklich auch ausreichend Geschirr, Gläser und Geschirr, ohne dass man nach jeder Mahlzeit den Geschirrspüler starten muss. Die Küche ist wirklich großzügig, man kann gut zusammen kochen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, sprechen lieber Englisch und helfen auch gern, wenn es darum geht, z.B. am Ankunftstag einen Tisch in der nahegelegenen Pizzeria zu reservieren. Ein gut sortierter Supermarkt ist in der Nähe und auch ein guter Bäcker.

Amazing villa with a world class view

We stayed at Villa Lorraine for a week at the end of July. Lynda and Chris the owners were great explaining the house and all the best places and walks in the local area. We spent almost every waking hour either in the amazing kitchen (which has everything you would have in your home - not the standard minimum of most holiday lets) in or around the pool, at the pool house, or at one of the outside tables for dining. All facilities are first rate including the table tennis table. The local areas has some nice restaurants and markets so we didn’t need to go further than a few miles all week. Overall a great week spent relaxing in the Provence countryside.

We had a fantastic 11 days at Villa Loraine. The property was very comfortable and very well maintained. The views from the terrace were amazing. Fantastic location

We really enjoyed our brief stay in Chris and Lynda's beautiful house. The house is in a perfect location, secluded, with amazing views out over unspoilt countryside as far as the sea, while also being conveniently situated for local shops, amenities and visitor attractions. It is immaculately presented, with every attempt made to make guests feel welcome and completely at home. Whether you want a peaceful break away from it all, or a centre for visiting the local area, this is the perfect place!

A Perfect Home Away from Home

We are two teenagers and three adults who stayed at this wonderful house for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to friends and family without hesitation. One thing to point out (which the owner also clearly communicated prior to our arrival) is that anyone wishes to make short day trips to the towns nearby should rent his/her own car. Taxi is hard to find and should be arranged ahead of time, buses don't come very often. For us, we enjoyed taking long, lovely walks everyday, and didn't plan much excursion anyway, so it was not an issue. The house and the surroundings are just as described, photos listed on the website are what you will see and experience. The house was impeccably maintained and clean, appliances sufficient, and although the July sun was strong, there was always very pleasant breeze through the house. Kids enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, splashing in the pool, and just sitting around outside. The pool cleaning boy and house cleaning lady are both extremely friendly and nice. For those interested in nearby attractions, there are quite many interesting places to visit, and the owner has very detailed information available in the house. We walked to the bakery almost daily, in the afternoon there is a pizza truck across from the supermarket that we would recommend. The booking and refund process are both easy and quick, and the owner's call and various prompt email messages answering questions gave it a very nice personal touch. Everyone had a great time at this beautiful house.

Comfortable villa - beautiful scenery

I decided to write a review about Villa Lorraine because we found reviews helpful when we were looking for a villa for our family holiday. Photos give an idea but they never tell the whole story. Villa Lorraine had everything we were looking for and upon arrival we realized it had more than we had anticipated! The view all the way to the Mediterranean Sea was magnificent and the peace and quiet of the area was something we were looking for. There were 10 of us travelling together, my husband and I, our 4 children, son-in-law and daughter-in-law + 2 grandchildren, age 1 and 2. The layout of the villa, set on 3 levels, is ideal for people who want to enjoy their time together yet have some privacy and space of their own. As the Villa Lorraine is situated quite high up we benefited from the light breeze - great in the hot weather. Our early morning walk down to the boulangerie was enjoyable but a bit challenging going back up the hill. We enjoyed all the different eating and seating areas of the villa, the swimming pool was great, large enough to enjoy a swim as well as just to cool down. It made a difference having the children's playground and the ping pong table when you have a large group of people with different interests. Many thanks to our hosts, Lynda and Chris for their hospitality and their friendly yet professional way of running their business. Their personal touch, responding quickly to every e-mail and speaking on the phone before any commitments were made gave us peace of mind when we were planning and dreaming of our holiday during our long Icelandic winter. Gradually we had built up high expectations which were all met! Last but not least I would like to share a brilliant idea. Through Lynda I contacted Lori Mazziotta-Gardet http://www.chef-adomicile.fr who along with her team prepared and served us a delicious meal our first evening at the villa. What a treat not having to go out and shop or take the children to a restaurant, tired after the journey. We do recommend this very affordable solution. Beautiful villa, great location, nice landscape

We are so lucky that we could spend two weeks in this very nice villa. The house is comfortable for two families. We were 9 person, incl. 5 children. The children enjoyed the pool very much, the parents enjoyed the house. And we all enjoyed the BBQ in the pool house, the landscape and the peaceful location. The coast is within 20 min drive, many sightseeing possibilities within a 60 min drive in the nearest cities. We enjoyed also the golf and tennis possibilities near to the villa. The every morning breakfast in the big terrace remain as an unforgettable keepsake. I was running every morning to the boulangerie in Le Rouret to provide for the families fresh croissant and baguette. It was a very healthy action to run more than 100 km under the nice trees. Lynda and Chris were really great hosts and helped us in any case of questions. We recommend honest for everyone this villa who wants to have a relaxed and peaceful holiday ! Gyuri & Timi

It doesn't get better than this!

The only bad thing about this wonderful villa is having to leave at the end of your stay! The lovely owners, Chris and Lynda, make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. The gas bottle on the BBQ was feeling light as though it was running out and having sent an email to let them know, it was refreshed before the day was out! The furnishings and items within the villa are all good quality and you want for nothing. The pool is great - well kept and so sparklingly clean. The outside under cover area is where we spent every evening - we dined at the large table, then moved across to the comfortable seating until bedtime. I don't think we could ever tire of that perfect view out to sea. We are very fussy people and cannot fault this idyllic villa - it's perfect. Well done to Chris and Lynda! I would recommend this villa to anyone and although there were only two of us, I can see that with the bedrooms being spread over three floors, a larger family or 2-3 couples could have privacy and space to get away from others quite easily. Brilliant.

Very nice holiday home near Mediterranean coast

This holiday home can easily accommodate 10 persons. It's very spacious, modern, clean and bright. The views to the Mediterranean coast and the surrounding olive terraces are spectacular. It will take you around 20 minutes by car to get to Cannes, Nice or St Paul de Vence. Grasse is about 10 minutes. The house has a heated private swimming pool. In the garden you will find typical Southern French plants, trees and flowers as well as a swing and a tree house. The friendly owners of the property are English/Australian and live nearby.

We stayed here as part of our European Holiday and it was very easy to book and organise from Australia. A beautiful villa – fantastic place to unwind and relax. We loved the outdoor spaces where we could eat and take in the views of the sea, listen to the birds and take in the smells of the local woods. Secluded – very private and peaceful with lovely views to the coast. Close to all amenities – 5 mins to Opio, 10 mins to Valbonne, 20 minutes to the coast. The villa is really comfortably furnished throughout. The practical layout means we never felt we were on top of anyone else as the bedrooms are on three different levels. Fantastic outdoor areas for dining and having bbq’s. The swimming pool is lovely and has an alarm which we appreciated, having younger children. Reading the comprehensive guide on what to do in the area was enjoyable and made us want to return to see more places and try more restaurants! Our stay gave us a great introduction to the area. Reading the comprehensive guide on what to do in the area was enjoyable and made us want to return to see more places and try more restaurants! Our stay gave us a great introduction to the area. RELAXING, PEACEFUL VILLA - EXPLORE COTE D’AZUR

Stayed in this villa with two families and one set of grandparents. Layout was ideal as bedrooms are on three different levels. Sitting room is large but has a cosy lounge. LOVED THE 2 different OUTDOOR EATING AREAS AND pool is a really good size. Views are magnificent and area is super quiet. Villa is really conveniently located so it easy to get to all those well known places like Valbonne, Cannes and Monaco. Hosts have put together a fantastic guide book with lots of ideas for places to visit and eat at. We will be back to do more sight seeing and eat at the fabulous restaurants that are in this area.

We moved to this area in 1999 and never left! The region has lots to offer for a family in all seasons and has a great mix of interesting people. We have two children and we work in the area.

This villa has great views, it has a very functional layout both inside and outside and it is quite private. However, it is still close to schools, shops and local amenities.
We also love the garden and all the olive trees.
After looking for the perfect villa for 18 months we fell in love with Villa Lorraine immediately.

Sunshine all day, an elevated position overlooking the woods and views to the sea. It's also very peaceful, private and relaxing but within easy reach of Antibes, Nice, Canes and Monaco. We often have an afternoon breeze.
The villa has three levels. The main level has the living area plus a large kitchen dining area leading to a terrace of 100 sq metres. There is also the main bedroom plus an en-suite bathroom.
The upper level has two bedrooms, one with a terrace which has lovely views.
The bedroom on the lower level with ensuite is at the same level as the garden and pool.
This means different family members have privacy from one another if needed.
The lively village of Valbonne is a 5 minute drive away or for those who are more energetic, one can walk there.
There are three supermarkets close by and one can walk to the boulangerie each morning if you wish.
