We were in Paris in early September. The weather was comfortable except for a few days. We tried the a/c in the apartment and it worked very well. The location next to the Les Halles metro station made it very easy to get anywhere in Paris. The street below the apartment has a number of cafes and and active outdoor markets which made winding down at the end of the day very relaxing. The windows in the unit worked very well blocking sound from the streety when it was time to get a good night's sleep. Will we be returning to Paris... yes, will be be staying in the same apartment... definitely!

Loved our experience at 5 rue Montmartre. Our check-in agent Nicolas was kind, and the apartment was as advertised. Though the mounted wall a/c was not working at the time, the host provided a portable unit, and our stay was very comfortable. The location was so central to all of our plans, and we were delighted by the street market that pops up every Thursday right outside the door. A true gem that left us feeling like our time in Paris was charmed—would recommend and staycation.

Family of five (2 adults and 3 kids ages 14,12,10). We loved the location. Lots of restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the louve and the metro. The beds were very comfortable. Just be prepared for a lot of narrow stairs, and when you finally think you are at the unit and the stairs are over, you open the door to another flight of stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

This charming apartment was fun to stay in. It was very clean, the host was great, and I loved the location. It can sleep 6, but the layout is not great for privacy. It is a loft master bedroom, so it’s very open to the pullout couch down below. It has another little separate bedroom with a twin bed, but you have to go through the master bedroom loft to get to it. The final twin bed is in the master loft bedroom. It is a 4th floor apartment with a narrow, spiral staircase, no lift. It is charming, but as a family of 5 with our luggage and stroller it was a workout!! It has a kitchen which we did not really use, a washing machine, and a good AC unit that really cools the place down. All in all it was a great place to stay, just wish it had a more private layout.

The apartment was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. Clean and with all the amenities for comfort. The air-conditioning was a lifesaver during the historic heatwave! The laundry came in handy as well. The host was very responsive and communication was easy. - this was one of the main reasons we chose this property. The location is excellent, near EVERYTHING, and easy access to the metro and RER trains. Shops, groceries, restaurants, major museums and landmarks all nearby and within walking distance. A gem of a cafe for coffee is Marcelle, right across the street. There are too many positive things to list! It was truly a home away from home for our family.

We made a very last minute booking when our other accommodation in Paris got cancelled as we were travelling and the host was so helpful and accommodating. The apartment was in a superb location, close to all the central attractions, some amazing food nearby and a short walk to a major metro station (that goes to Disney) and a large shopping centre. The apartment itself was perfect for a family stay and had everything we needed. You need to be reasonably fit for the stairs but it’s well worth it. We’d stay here again next time we’re in Paris!

Tough to beat the location here! Separate floors was nice for some privacy, as was having the dual washer/dryer convenience. Windows very well insulated so little to no noise at night. Excellent communication with James, the owner. Note tight stairway to climb to reach flat on the 3rd floor. Just wish it was a bit cheaper!

Everything you could want in Paris is within a ten minute walk, with much even closer than that. Comfortable bed and thoughtful on-site touches. Host is responsive and helpful.

This was truly a fantastic property and fit all of our needs. I traveled with my husband, my 15 year old and 20 year old daughter for our first time to Paris. This was our first trip to Europe and we are not usually super great planners. So, first, the property was located in an area that was very easy to get to from both the train station (we took a train from London) and the airport (which we used to fly home). We didn’t have to navigate different trains and was very walkable from the both stations we needed. We exclusively used public transportation throughout our stay and it was so easy to do that from this location. Additionally, the apartment was in a fantastic location in the middle of Paris. Honestly could not have asked for a better spot for a first time visitor. Second, we came to Paris during a mini-heat wave the air conditioning worked perfectly. We would come back after a long day in the heat, sweaty and tired, and the apartment was blissfully cool. Third, it had everything we needed to be comfortable, from equipped kitchen, to linens and towels, to enough beds for everyone. Finally, the host was extremely responsive. Someone met us when we arrived to show us how everything worked and made sure we didn’t have any questions. I received plenty of info before the booking so was confident that I was reserving a legitimate space and would not be tricked. We even received recommendations on local places to go. Overall, I could not recommend this place enough!

This Flat served us justice as we navigated around Paris for 2 days. With the subway right at the end the streets we were able to get around if our site seeing adventures were longer to get to than walking. The flat was located on a nice street that offered restaurants and a convenience store and had a Sunday market that ended up being a bonus to our last day.

Perfect location

Great apartment in an ideal location in Paris. On a relatively quiet street but centrally located easy to get to everything. Comfortable bedding and clean accommodations.

Perfect place for a Paris getaway

The location of this place is amazing. Close to wonderful shops and restaurants. The Louvre is minutes away. The apartment was perfect for a family of 4 and the beds were super comfy. It was super easy to check in and check out. Thanks for a great stay!

Outstanding apartment for a Paris vacation! The location is unbelievable with restaurants, bakeries, cheese shops, and gelato on this street and multiple surrounding streets. The metro stop is 1 short block down the street, a 2min walk at most. Theres a small supermarket 10 feet from the apartment. It was around 15 minute walk to Norte Dame. This was our first trip to Paris and we struggled to know the best place to stay. Cannot recommend this location highly enough! Once inside, wow, it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids, we appreciated having the lower level if a couple people wanted to stay up later or get up early. It was very quiet for sleeping. Of note for other travelers, James is an independent property manager so has a separate website to submit payment. I contacted VRBO help center before submitting payment as I’ve never paid outside of VRBO before. They confirmed that this is a legit business and okay to pay directly. Didn’t want that to throw anyone off. James is very responsive if any questions, concerns, or want recommendations in the area. In the online check in process, he even offers an option to set up a private driver better by his company. It’s not that much more than a standard taxi and was SO easy and convenient with our luggage. He dropped us off directly at our apartment where we met the check in person. Super smooth. Thanks for a great stay!! Highly recommend!
