A great base for exploring lovely Leuven

Spacious, well equipped house

Spacious and well equipped house in a very quiet cul-de-sac with parking and excellent bus and train links into Leuven centre. Perfect for our stay while racing cyclocross over Kerstperiode.

Home away from home

We stayed here for a work trip in Leuven. If you hire bikes, it is very convenient to reach the city centre. The house is very comfortable and tidy. There is a good sized lounge and dining room, as well as sunroom and outdoor area. Thank you An.

Nice sized property for the price

Nice sized living areas, all clean and furniture in good condition. Reasonably well equipped kitchen, but some instructions for the oven/microwave would have been handy! The only thing we really didn't like was that the only place to dry laundry was in the cellar, which left a damp smell on our clothes. All in all this was a relatively minor inconvenience, and did not stop us enjoying our holiday.

Family reunion

I got to stay at this lovely humble home with my siblings and our father, and we had such a lovely stay. It was walking distance to train, buses and some restaurants that became a favourite of ours. And it was only a short drive to go into to Leuven. The home was so comfortable, clean and quaint. The home is supplied with anything you may need and the host was great with communicating. Checkout was a breeze. I’d love to stay here again for our next visit.

Fine until mold situation.

Positives: This is a full house, with pots and pans and dishes where you are free to use and cook. I thought that was really nice. They also have full set of utensils and cooking as well. The location is very accessible to get around town. There's plenty of parking, and in case there's no parking you can park right in front of the house. Negatives: There was an insulation problem that An did not tell us. Moisture built up which caused mold in both the bathroom and the room at the end of the hall which affected the whole family. We all got a cough and could only attribute it to the room. The owner stated that they insulated the attic thinking that it would fix the issue, but never checked. We decided to stay downstairs in the dining room bed and just kept the door shut making our last 4-5 days uncomfortable. Laundry was in the basement, but we didn't use it as it was just the laundry and no dryer. A utility hold of €10/day will be needed. An will read utilities and calculate at the end of the stay. Overall: An was very responsive in our issues, however the solution that was offered was just a "Sorry" and also to keep the heating on with the windows open while giving us a discount to the utility bill. We still don't and won't know the long term effects of our health due to the breathing in mold. I would recommend to ask if the mold issue has been resolved before booking here, otherwise this place was fine if you're okay with everyone sharing one toilet for poops.

It was great. It's true that the only fully working toilet is downstairs (that seems to be a permanent plumbing situation), but I didn't mind.

Séjour Agréable

La location a tout à fait répondue à nos attentes. Le logement est spacieux et confortable. Le quartier est très calme et il constitue un bon point de départ pour les différentes visites dans la région. Enfin, la communication avec An a été excellente.

Comfy home in lovely neighborhood

The home is well laid out and comfortable for a family. There is a large dinner table, in a great room open to the living area. A screened in porch off the dining area leads to an enclosed back yard, which is especially nice. There is a washer in the basement, but no dryer, which I think is typical in Belgium. The only negative we saw was a plumbing issue, that means the upstairs toilet, by the bedrooms, can only be used as a urinal. There is a small bathroom just inside the front door on the main level, with a fully functional toilet, but it has no sink. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and check in and check out were simple.

Comfortable home away from home, near everything.

We stayed for four weeks and everything about the house was comfortable and convenient. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you could need for daily cooking or having guests over for dinner. The three bedrooms and bathroom were plenty of space for us. And the living room and solarium and backyard meant everybody had space for themselves. It’s only a few minute walk to the Heverlee train station, which is a five minute train ride to Leuven and from there you can go anywhere in Europe. We rented electric bikes while we were there and it was only a few minute ride into the center of Leuven or anywhere throughout Leuven. From the beginning, communication with the owner was easy and clear. Everything about all of the logistics went smoothly. The neighborhood itself is a very good neighborhood. Lots of quiet families. All the streets are deadend streets so no through traffic or noise. We would highly recommend this place to anybody who would like to be in a comfortable house near Leuven. But please do not go during the weeks we want to come back. We are already planning our next trip!
