Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

During our stay, we had access to canoes, paddle-boards, the grill, an outdoor electric fire place, the dock, fishing equipment and yard games. We spent much of our time just hanging out around the well-manicured lawn and enjoying some peace and quiet on the lake. This home is north of Kenai and very close to the Captain Cook State Park. If you bring enough food, you could literally stay here without leaving because they have thought of everything inside of the guest home (movie-themed basket, laundry equipment and supplies, even extra plastic bags for wet swimsuits). Our favorite memory was when we asked the family to help us "experience" Alaska, so we sat in the sauna and then jumped off the dock together. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

A beautiful lakeside property !

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I escaped to Alaska for our one year anniversary and very much enjoyed our stay on the lake. We had privacy but also direct contact with LeAnn for anything we needed. She was very good to us. The local area is amazingly beautiful. We visited Captain Cook’s state park close by and spotted mama moose and her new calf on the way out. You really don’t have to go anywhere to have a good time, we were out on the lake in the canoe and on the paddle board a couple of times. I also did a little trout fishing from the dock first thing in the morning with my cup of coffee close by. There is a nice gas barbecue available if you want to do some grilling. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. My only regret was not taking advantage of the sauna that is available! I definitely will next time we are there. The property is very clean and quite modern. Even Internet although it’s not extremely fast. I very much look forward to visiting again. Two days were not enough,Thank you!
