Completely renovated in May 2012, the apartment is equipped with new facilities and equipment (kitchen, bathroom, lounge) and attention to detail. It is located on the ground floor of a '40 years' building. It 's very bright, quiet and peaceful as it completely overlooks the inner courtyard full of flowers, plants and a fish tank.

Designed for max 4 people, the living room in wooden floor is equipped with a sofa bed (140x200) and a loft bed (160x200), satellite TV, unlimited wifi access.
The kitchen with attention to detail, has all the comforts: induction cooker, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, etc..
The bathroom with a spa design has a toilet, washbasin in natural stone and large walk-in shower and comfortable to relax


Transport & Metro
From the apartment you have access to as many as 3 subway stations: Dupleix (50 meters), Champs de Mars - Eiffel Tower (200m) and La Motte Piquet-Grenelle (400m).
Otherwise, for an unusual but original city tour, we recommend renting Vélib bikes, provided by the city of Paris, at super-reduced prices. The nearest Vélib station is at 50 meters.

Metro & Bus
From 'Dupleix' there is line 6, which leads to Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (Arc de Triomphe, Champs Champes, etc.) Trocadero, Montparnasse (Montparnasse Tower) Denfer-Rocheraou (trains to/from Orly airport) 'Place d'Italie' and Nation.

From 'Champs de Mars-Tour Eiffel', there is the RER C, which leads to the station 'Orsay Museum', Saint-Michel (Latin Quarter) City (Notre Dame Church and Ile de la Cité) Versailles (Versailles Castle) Austerlitz station (trains from/to the South of France and Spain)

From 'La Motte Picquet - Grenelle' there is line 8, which leads to the Invalides (Napoleon's tomb), Concorde (Place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens, Louvre) and Opera (Opera de Paris and the Galerie La Fayette)

The 'bus 42' with a stop just up the road, takes you to the Champ de Mars / Tour Eiffel, the Pont de l'Alma (rather infamous for the death of Princess Diana) to Champs Elysees, Concorde, the Opera and the Gare du Nord (trains from/to Charles de Gaulle Airport)

The house is nothing like the photos. Do not stay here if you are not able to climb a ladder to get into bed. My sister and I thought we were renting a place with a couch and a bed. We had no idea the bed was reached by a rickety scary ladder.

the apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, with a loft bed accessible by stairs and a sofa bed. The photos in the listing prove what was stated earlier. Also before their arrival, we sent a video of the Murphy bed opening where she could clearly see both beds. the guest knew how the beds were arranged even before arriving and only realized their mistake upon arriving at the flat. we are not responsable for guest's choices, and it is not fair to pay the consequences of an unfair review just because the guest made a decision error despite all photos and videos.

Very happy with Love Nest

This is a very conveniently located little apartment. The Metro is just steps away, yet the apartment, facing into a courtyard, is quite quiet. Shopping, laundry, cafés, the Seine and Eiffel Tower are all easily accessible. The apartment itself feels bigger than it appears, with a smart arrangement. We were very comfortable and happy here for our month long visit to Paris

Great location for stay in Paris

We stayed in this apartment for 1 month. The positives: Great communication with the host Excellent location - close to metro and bus, huge supermarket nearby, huge food market every Wednesday and Sunday, several bakeries and other shops nearby. Easy check-in - check-out. Fully equipped kitchen including expresso machine. Some negatives, I hope owner addresses some of them. The apartment is very small, it was ok for two of us, but that probably reflected in price. While apartment was clean, we did not like how bedding was given. Both sheets and pillowcases were not ironed and did not feel fresh. Towels was ok. Shower door was leaking. Overall, it's a good stay for the money.

Fantastic location for 2-3 people

We had a great time staying in this apartment. It was situated within walking distance of the Champs de Mars and a glorious up-close view of the Eiffel Tower. It was a bit tight with three people but completely workable if you plan to spend most of the day out and about as we did. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of cookware/plates/utensils for meals in. We did have to buy a towel because we noticed too late in the evening that there were only two provided but that was a small oversight that we didn't mind. The only real complaint we had was the bathroom door: it was a sliding door that caught in its track every time we used it and it was nearly impossible to close all the way without pulling at it with every ounce of our bodies - which was difficult without an actual handle on the door. But overall we loved our stay here and it was perfectly situated and appointed for the price - would recommend to others!!

We are very pleased that you had a great time in Paris at our flat. However we are really surprised that you did not inform us nor about the missing towel nor about the bathroom sliding door. We could have passed at the flat to leave the towel and to see what was wrong about the door sliding mechanism. We are sorry you had to buy an unnecessary towel and we are always at guest's disposal to solve these kind of problems. We have been informed about it a week after your check-out so nothing we could do and we are extremely sorry for it.

Fantastic location

We were especially pleased with the location of the apartment. It is so accessible to the metro, bakeries, restaurants, groceries, and other shops. We liked the energy in the morning of the people and families hustling to work and school. On Sunday, we happened into the market across the street and it was superb. Our hosts were also very good and helpful. Yves met us upon arrival and departure and was very pleasant. Paolo and Anthea communicated starting a couple weeks before our arrival to be sure everything was in order. They provided useful information on transportation options from the airport that saved us from being tricked into getting a non-profit flat rate taxi. (Beware of those guys at the airport!) Anthea also helped us tremendously one day during our stay when we encountered our RER station was closed. Via WhatsApp, she helped sort out our best option and we were back on our way to Versailles. Being on ground floor, the apartment is very accessible. It is very small as we expected. I would say too small for 3 people and luggage. It was fine for us mostly because we had lovely weather and were there very little. It is definitely more suited for one or two people with not much luggage. In general, the apartment needs some love and the photos presented on VRBO are not representative of its current condition. The bathroom being the area of biggest need. There is quite alot of mildew making an unpleasant smell and feeling of it not being clean. A couple floor tiles are loose from water intrusion. There were some other issues that didn't greatly affect our stay but could greatly improve someone else's stay if they are addressed: The fireplace doesn't work as far as we could figure out which wasn't much of an issue. We were provided a plug-in electric heater which worked well but contributed to feeling a bit more cramped. The hairdryer blows only cold air, the towels were rough, and wall hooks to hang coats would be useful. Finally, there was some construction occurring in the store front adjacent to the apartment. It was only during the day but it made it impossible to return for a nap or quiet lunch. Luckily, we had great weather and could be away all day. This is most likely a short-term issue and will be resolved when the store renovation is completed.

I’m really glad you had a superb stay in Paris, actually the "Ville Lumiere" is a fantastic city indeed and as said, our flat is located in a strategical position closed to everything you need or want. Our "pied à terre" is small as described in our listing and photos on VRBO accurately reflect the current status. At the beginning of the year, small renovation works were carried out such as painting and electrical installation. Cleaning is a key point and we always pay an extreme attention on offering a healthy and livable environment to our guests. Once a month, we use a mildew remover to remove it but, we also ask to our guests to always ventilate the shower by opening the window after having a shower. This cooperation helps us preventing the mildew. In any case, since we take all the constructive reviews into consideration, from now on we will use the mildew remover more often. We really love being in contact with our guests, before and during their stay, in order to give support, assistance or just advise on major events. For this purpose, we use Whatsap to have smooth and quick exchanges and I’m really sorry that you did not get in touch with us when hairdryer broke, we could have immediately replaced it as we did after your check-out or eventually we could have explained you how the decorative electric fireplace works . Concerning hooks, actually there are 3 in the bathroom. Before next arrival, I will check if they need to be replaced either. We will continue to make every effort to make your holiday a superb memory

Was a dream come true

I stayed for a month and got a discount. The host and staff are wonderful. They answered all my questions. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The beds are comfortable. The shower is very nice, there is a room heater in the bathroom. There are laundry mats and grocery stores in almost every direction. Rue de Lourmel is 1 block away, has specialty food stores to make a gourmet meal. Duplex metro station is across the street. Use the metro and you can get anywhere in the city in less than 30 minutes. 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and river. Point de Bir-Hakeim on the river is one of the most beautiful areas along the river. Wednesdays and Sundays, pop-up market across the street at Duplex metro station is one of the best in the city. I felt like I was living in a neighborhood. Area is so centrally located to the city but not touristy. This place was a dream.

This little flat was perfect! It has everything you need and Anthea and Paolo were very helpful.

The flat is located half a block from a Metro station in a little neighborhood with EVERYTHING you could need. Lots of cafes, bakeries, pharmacies, little markets, fresh food shops and a laundromat. It was a quiet condo building with all the conveniences. We highly recommend this flat!

Great location and Cozy

Fantastic place for our Paris Trip. The owners and Yves were fantastic to deal with. The apartment is so close to the Metro and within walking distance of so many landmarks. Ideal for restaurants close by, as well as a grocery store, bakeries, cheese shop, meat shop and wine. There is a Market twice a week basically at your doorstep, with tons of offerings. The owners were very helpful in recommending how best to get to the apartment. They also provided us with information on what wonderful sites and experiences to see and do, and this was our 5th trip to Paris. They recommended some weekend stuff to do and where to go to relax, bring a picnic (wine and cheese) and act like Parisians do. They even provided me with a contact number via the Whatsup App so we could communicate, and I could use wifi to save on costs. The place is very cozy so if space is something you need this might not be what you’re looking for. However, for us it was almost perfect, the location could not have been better. The courtyard worked great to enjoy a French wine and do our daily updates from a day’s touring. Based on price, location, the owners and Yves we would definitely stay there again. It was a totally wonderful experience.

Anthea and Paolo went out of there way to help us on our visit to Paris - maintaining contact with us before, during, and after our stay. The location of the flat was perfect for us and it was quiet and welcoming. Two fans in the unit helped take the edge off the Paris summer heat. The kitchen was well equipped for making simple meals and the bed was comfortable. Mercie beaucoup et mille grazie!

Due to the train strike we arrived 8 hours late at around 10 pm but instructions how to access the unit was excellent. Unit was small but clean and well equiped and everything that was promised. The best of Paris at your doorstep!

This rental is beautifully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the front door is a bonus! It is perfectly located near all you could possibly need public transportation, food store, restaurants and even a laundromat. Best of all, the hosts have a binder they created in several languages with information for all you could need access to and distances. We also got a friendly visit via the kitchen window from Gaia, a lovely Great Dane that was sweet as pie. If Paris is your destination, this rental needs to be your home while there!

Paolo and Anthea’s place was very nice and amazing. It was a very safe area and just a few steps away from the Eiffel Tower. Everything was clean and neatly placed. The bed was very comfy. Worth every penny!!!

This is a great location just down from the Eiffel Tower. It is convenient to metro line 6 which takes you to the arc de triumph along with connecting easily with the rer train lines and other metro lines. The place is very clean and Anthea & Paolo are friendly. If you need directions just ask they have them all and will email you a link along with excellent instructions on airport transportation. We are grateful they recommended the train and advised us of the weather before we left the states. Prior to our arrival we found out that Paris was having the most snowfall since 1987. It was very pretty but certain buses do not run if the roads are icy making the train the best option for transportation. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place for others.
