Perfect getaway at an amazing home

The owner is so friendly and the house is gorgeous. The kitchen is so well stocked, and Linda even bought special snacks and ice cream for the kids. The house is just peaceful and so spacious. We drank our coffee on the outside deck, surrounded by trees, what could be more relaxing. This was the best experience I’ve had renting a home.

Perfect in every way

Couldn't have asked for me - a beautiful and beautifully appointed house that felt like home. Wonderful location for exploring Nevada City and neighboring Grass Valley. Communication with owner was great and we couldn't have asked for more.

Best Stay Ever!

100% love the house, so nice and cozy. The owners were so thoughtful and there's everything you could think of in the house. We haver rented many places sot this is literally the best place I have ever stayed! My husband has friends in the area and we visit this area once in a while, we will definitely be back!!

Luxury a short driving distance from town

The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable! The large windows brought in great light and a view of the outdoors. Only disappointment was the posting showed a yard with a ping pong table but there wasn’t one and the yard was really unusable. Would definitely go back and refer to friends and family!

Lovely hangout close to Yuba river

We've had a lovely stay at this beautiful home near NC and Yuba river. We enjoyed hanging out at the house and loved to sip our coffee at the porch in the morning. We've spend most of our time at the Yuba river and loved every minute of it. The house was well stocked, clean and homey. The host was very attentive and fast to reply. We would definitely come back.

Great Place!

We are a family of five and very much enjoyed our stay here for a 4day weekend. The home was clean and very nice. The yard is spacious and there is a grill, however, due to the cold weather we didn’t use it. We drove to Johnson Canyon to take our children to the snow, and that was only a 45min drive. We were surprised to see how cute and developed Nevada City and Grass Valley are. Our children very much enjoyed the Empire Mine museum.

Amazing tranquil get away retreat

We just had the pleasure to stay at the Red Dog Retreat for 5 nights. The property was very comfortable, very clean and very quiet. The beds slept well and warm as the evenings are starting to get cold. This special home had everything we needed for a fabulous experience. We highly recommend this home.

Peace and serenity

This was absolutely perfect surroundings. Both outdoor and all the special touches indoor. I was able to relax in between our busy wedding schedule. Everything was so comfortable and location perfect.

The Little Things

The host provided a nice welcome package with wine and snacks and was available to answer any questions that I had. The house was clean and spacious and stocked with everything that we needed during our stay. If a few of these items (ex. eggs, body wash) we're provided, it wouldn't have been a deal-breaker, but it's nice to have a host that takes care of the little things.

Perfect getaway in Nevada City

This is my 3rd or maybe 4th time staying at Jody and Linda’s charming home and it’s my absolute favorite. They are so helpful and friendly. Everything about the check in and out process is clear and accessible. The house is so cozy, comfortable, and spacious. I plan to come back here every time I’m in town!

Great home in the woods, close to downtown and amenities!

Listing details and photos were very accurate. Owners were welcoming, helpful, and communicative. Only about a 7 minute drive to downtown Nevada City. They offered some nice extras in their house, just what we needed to make our stay comfortable! Thanks so much.

Peaceful

Lots of amenities, close to town, although first trip seems long. Liked the setting in trees. Quiet. Would suggest nite lights. Enjoyed my stay and snacks!

Cutest place in Nevada City

This home is such a peaceful, quiet, and comfortable place to stay. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Linda and Jody are hospitable and accommodating. Whenever I’m in the area, this is the only place I want to stay.

Beautiful home

This house shows so much thoughtfulness from its owners--modern yet cozy decorating, great array of condiments and basic cooking ingredients, a bottle of wine and some snacks left for us, responsive communication with Linda, easy to follow directions to the best river swimming holes on the planet! The pictures included with the profile are accurate--such great windows. The house is set back from the road and quite private. I look forward to returning!

Nevada City is one of the most beautiful and historically interesting cities in California. There are plenty of amazing restaurants, bars and breweries, and grocery stores for such a quaint town. The Victorian Christmas is a must! Tahoe is an hour drive. And perhaps the biggest draw is the pristine Yuba River!

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Located close to town, but far enough away to be quiet and restful. Most everyone comments on how peaceful it is to sit inside or on the deck overlooking the trees. The beds are high end and super comfy, and the decor is thoughtful and modern, while still feeling cozy. I also provide an extremely well stocked kitchen.
