Come be one of the first to stay in this beautiful property since it was acquired by the new owners. Located on Main Street in Grenada, MS, the "Old Post Office" was built in 1914, and features many of the original details and architecture present at the time it was constructed. The mission of the new owners is to preserve the history and architecture of this magnificent building, while opening it up to allow others to also enjoy it's beauty.
As you enter the front double doors, you will be in a beautiful lobby area shared with the on-site bridal boutique. With comfortable seating and great ambiance, the lobby is perfect for pre or post -dinner lounging. Upon entering the apartment, which encompasses a portion of the first floor and the entire upper floor of the building, you will be greeted by beautiful arched windows, a dining area, full kitchen, and living space complete with a flat screen TV. When you reach the top of the original hardwood stairs, you will find the 2nd living area, complete with a mini-fridge stocked for your enjoyment and a coffee bar so you can get your morning coffee fix without heading downstairs. The upstairs maintains the original character of the property with its hand painted, frosted glass doors, original hardwood floors, and original bathroom fixtures.
The master bath is the crown jewel of the space. From the marble walls, to the original plumbing fixtures, you will see the space much as it was in 1914, but with a modern twist, a 2 person, jetted tub for your enjoyment. The master bath is accessible directly from the master bedroom or the upstairs living space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, sitting area, and flat screen television.
As you go down the large hall connecting the living spaces, you will notice the original "doghouse" windows lighting the space. The open office space towards the end of the main hall features a day bed with trundle perfect for younger ones and a half bath, complete with original marble and fixtures.
The 2nd bedroom, located at the end of the hall, is sized generously, with room for a Queen bed, sitting area, and a flat screen TV.
The property is located within one block of First & Green event venue and within a 2 minute walk to the grocery store, salon, and gourmet restaurant. The Dogwoods Golf course is less than a 15 minutes drive and we are also only 5 miles from Grenada lake. Boat parking is available and fisherman are welcome!

As the property is currently undergoing renovations, final pictures are not yet available. The pictures on the listing were taken prior to the start of renovations.
