About Marti and Larry

There is not much about CO & specifically Summit County that we do not like. Skiing, boarding, fishing, hiking, snow shoeing, watching it rain or snow, relaxing, fine/casual dining, ice skating, the food and art festivals, the farmers market, the fall leaves, cool summer nights...the list goes on and on!

Marti and Larry purchased this townhome in 2006

Why Marti and Larry chose Keystone

After 11 years of owning our home away from home we love every second we get to spend in Summit County. We could stay in the townhouse and just enjoy the serenity of the area or go out an about enjoying all there is to do in and just outside of Keystone. It took us two years to select our home and we made an excellent choice!

What makes this townhome unique

The size of our unit is rather unique - it's quite spacious yet has some private space for those that need some quiet time. The unit is close to major Keystone hot spots yet is quiet and peaceful. The best of both worlds.

The kitchen is very well equipped - spices, condiments, bags, foils, oils, vinegar's, coffee, tea, cocoa, not to mention the crock pot, the blenders, the salad spinner, the wide range of cooking tools and other items that makes cooking easy after a busy and active day.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Marti:

Thanks for the information with the directions, heat instructions, etc.

We are having a FANTASTIC time! Your townhome is wonderful - great location, well outfitted, spacious & comfortable.

We're glad we found you on VRBO at the last minute.

We went tubing today & had so much fun, we're going again tomorrow and then the dinner sleigh ride tom. night. Snowcat tour on Monday that you recommended. We're not letting the cold (- 4 at the tubing hill this afternoon without the windchill factor) and windy conditions stop us!

Spacious, Clean & Close to Everything!

  • 5 of 5

When we weren't out hiking, biking and paddle boating we were enjoying your place and it was seriously so fun. We ate and played games and having room for our baby also made it even better. Thanks for keeping your place clean and awesome. We had friends staying close by and they always wanted to come to our place because it was more fun. :) We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Marti & Larry for a great summer retreat!

Great property

  • 5 of 5

Great property with shuttle bus service right outside door to Keystone Ski Resort. Comfortable townhome with all you need in the kitchen to make meals, private back area location with nice views, games and movies galore, two humidifiers and steam shower a plus, and close to hot tub and pool area. Owner responded quickly and communication was great. It was also nice to take our furry friend with us, too.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the unit- it is handy that the bus runs every 20 minutes or so. This allows guests to leave the driving to someone else and also allows them to come and go as they please! We love to cook so the kitchen is very well equipped for our guests. If it's missing something we want to know about it and make it right. We enjoy return guests and have had several repeat visitors. Come again soon- Marti & Larry

Wonderful stay in Keystone

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in Keystone. The location is excellent. We walked to the lake for ice skating and dinners. The bus is also convenient to get to Mountain House for skiing. It is very comfortable and cozy- the beds were great. And the kitchen was very nice and well stocked. We look forward to coming back!

Thanksgiving home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Many thanks to Marti and Larry for sharing this lovely condo with my family. We arrived at 1:00 on Thanksgiving day and had turkey with trimmings on the table by 5 PM. The well stocked kitchen provided all the utensils and serving dishes we needed, and a friendly note on the cabinet door invited me to help myself to the spices inside (a lifesaver since I forgot the seasonings for our bird). We all enjoyed the huge living area, playing games and doing the annual Thanksgiving jigsaw puzzle on the high top table by the window with a Mountain View.

Some of the things we appreciated about the condo were the new carpet, the cleanliness of the unit, the wonderful grill, and the location on the end of the unit near walking paths and open space. We were also grateful that this unit was pet friendly. There is a doggie waste station just steps down the path and plenty of trails. The master bath is quite spacious with double sinks and a large shower. The only downside is that the other bath and half bath are small, but this was a minor issue for us as a family. There is a pool nearby for community use and Marti graciously left us passes to use for yoga and the fitness center across the street at the lodge.

Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and are thankful to have felt so at home in this cozy condo.

Owner's Response: So glad you & yours had a great stay while at our place. And that we had some needed items on hand!! The unit was built in the 70's so the bathrooms are a bit efficient! :-) Have a great holiday season & come see us again. Sincerely Marti & Larry

Perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

This place exceeded our expectations - it's even bigger and nicer than the pictures show. The kitchen is stocked with everything. The owners were communicative, and allowed a late check-out by email request. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful end unit condo, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The condo has everything you would ever need. Like to cook, well, you have EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING in the kitchen. Day trips to Breckenridge, Vail and Loveland Pass, so close to all. Dillon is 6 miles away for groceries and adult beverages. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Some days just back to sit outside and relax with the cool breezes.

Marti and Larry checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The fresh air, blue skies and stars that shine. Cannot wait for another trip.

Owner's Response: We always appreciate when our guests not only enjoy our place but also all that Keystone and the surrounding areas have to offer! One of the best attributes of Keystone/Summit County is you can be as busy as you want to be one day and relaxed as you want to be the next! So much to do and see, even if it's just sitting on our patio with a cool beverage! Come enjoy another stay soon!! Marti & Larry

Car: recommended

For all you skiers and snowboarders there are multiple ski resorts that are easily accessible by car and can be done in a day. Keystone-2 minutes, Arapahoe Basin-7 minutes, Loveland-15 minutes, Breckenridge-20 minutes, Copper-15 minutes, Vail-30 minutes, and Beaver Creek 45 minutes. However, please be mindful of snow and driving conditions.

If staying close to home works better for you then take advantage of the ski bus and let others do the driving. From Tennis Townhomes I, the bus runs approximately every 20 minutes. An easy 3-5 minute bus ride drops you and your party at the Mountain House Base. A high-speed chair ride gets you to the top of the mountain where you can plan your ski/ride day.

The bus is great for non skiers/riders as well. Have them meet you for lunch and or happy hour and share your day with them! Give them a taste of the awesome ski/ride life.

Not a skier/rider? Opening 12/5/14 there is a Nordic Center located at Keystone Ranch. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing rentals, lessons, and guided tours are available. Nine miles of groomed trails and access to more than 35 miles of trails within the White River National Forest are available to you.

Golfers? There are multiple courses to enjoy - 2 in Keystone; The River Course and the Ranch Course. The Raven is about 20 minutes away in Silverthorne. Breckenridge, Copper, Beaver Creek, and Vail also have stunning golf courses.

Attending a conference at the Keystone Conference Center? It is VERY close and an easy walk - very similar to the walk from the parking lot to the Conference Center.

Regardless of the season there is plenty to keep one busy - hiking, walking, swimming, bike riding, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, shopping, sailing, or maybe a spa day is what you are after. All these activities and more are steps away for you to enjoy.

If you'd like to cook our kitchen is well equipped. However, if you'd rather be waited on there are plenty of fine and casual dining experiences to tempt your taste buds. To name a few: Pug Ryans (Dillon), Dam Brewery (Dillon), Arapahoe Café in our opinion has the best breakfast & BBQ - also in Dillon. In the summer you can't beat the scenery, vibe, and food at the Tiki Bar (Dillon Marina). Bighorn Bar and Bistro at Keystone Resort has always been excellent, Pizza 101 has the best pizza (Keystone), Hearthstone is quaint and unique (Breckenridge), and for special occasions or dining on the mountain - Keystone Ranch is a must, Alpenglow Stube is an adventure to get to! Frisco and Copper also have multiple dining options.

Don't like to drive in the mountains or in snow? Take a shuttle (Colorado Mountain Express) from DIA and enjoy the bus to/from the slopes and dining establishments around Keystone. Or rent a car/SUV and stop at the well stocked City Market in Dillon for groceries. Dillon Ridge Liquors, Walgreens, Starbucks, Sports Authority, Bed, Bath, & Beyond are in the same plaza as well as a movie theater.

If you forgot something there is a newly remodeled and enlarged market/liquor store at the corner of Route 6 and Tennis Club Road. An easy walk (downhill) from the townhome. And good exercise (uphill) to get back to the townhome!

Want a quite night at home to recharge for the next day of fun filled activities? There are games and movies (DVD's) located in the bookcase. Enjoy your stay!
