A horrendous one week stay in a dirty apartment topped by car burgled whilst parked outside
We have stayed here one week in October and regretted booking it after the first night spent in the flat. The bedding and everything in the house is beyond disgusting dirty and should be thrown away immediately. Pillows are stained, mattress stained by urine, mattress protectors stained and with human hairs uncleaned from previous stays, the carpets were so dirty we had to roll them to sides as we could not imagine walking barefoot or in socks on them. The upholstery smells. The washing machine has a broken thermostat which boiled and destroyed several blouses on a 30 degrees cycle. Tumble dry or spin cycle does not work and clothes cannot be drained as there is no drying rack. We reported all the issues yet for a week nobody came to fix them or acknowledge they were broken. Our car was burgled whilst parked on the street outside the flat, thieves stole everything left inside including nappies and baby's car seat fixed with isofix base. A terrible area and terrible choice. We hesitated to leave a review due to our hospitality business also being listed on VRBO and fear of reprisal by fake reviews on google etc, but the fact that we tried to review on their own site and were not allowed to post has prompted this review here. The people that manage the flat are kind and curteous and reply to emails but that does not change the situation and we find it really surprising that a property in that state has a cleaning fee attached and a security deposit in the state in which it is.
