Sweet Jewel Apartments está ubicado en el área de Silver Sands en el sur de la isla de Barbados y son en total 4 apartamentos diferentes por dimensiones, muebles, exposiciones y precios.

Todos tienen comedor / sala de estar / cocina totalmente amueblada, dormitorio, baño privado y patio cubierto. Los apartamentos están rodeados por un maravilloso jardín lleno de palmeras, vegetación y flores, con valla, paredes y monitoreados por cámaras de seguridad. Al lado de la propiedad hay una gran área de estacionamiento (sin cargo).

Sweet Jewel Apartments está ubicado junto a la impresionante playa de Silver Sands en el extremo sur de la hermosa isla tropical de Barbados. Siendo la más oriental de las islas caribeñas de barlovento, el calor tropical siempre es templado por los constantes y suaves vientos alisios del noreste, que reducen los mosquitos y hacen de Silver Sands uno de los mejores lugares del mundo para practicar windsurf, surf y kite surf.

Tropical Gecko Studio tomó el nombre de un maravilloso Tropical Gecko (el Tokay Gecko que proviene del este tropical y el sudeste asiático) que vive a 10 metros del apartamento. La sala de estar tiene una cama doble, sábanas de algodón de alta calidad, 2 mesitas de noche con lámparas, armario, caja fuerte, una cocina con todo lo necesario: estufa de 4 quemadores de gas con horno, refrigerador, congelador, fregadero, gabinetes con cafetera italiana. , cafetera americana, tostadora, cubiertos, platos, vasos, ollas, etc. Un pequeño vestíbulo lo lleva al baño que tiene lavabo, inodoro y una gran ducha. En la entrada del apartamento hay un maravilloso patio grande y cubierto con mesa, sillas, sofá, hamaca y jardín con césped a ambos lados. También hay enchufes de 110 voltios (sistema americano) y enchufes de 220 voltios (sistema europeo). El estudio tiene una plaza de aparcamiento justo al lado de la propiedad. En el jardín hay una ducha al aire libre y un jardín muy bien cuidado con césped, cocoteros, palmeras reales y flores.

It was great for solo travelers, was able to explore the south coast and both Stefano & Elisabetta were great host and always right there to help. It was an excellent stay!!

Tropical Gecko Paradise

This was our first stay at Tropical Gecko and second visit to the island. From first contact with Stefano to arrange our stay to our departure he and Elizabet were fantastic hosts and very interested in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The studio was clean and comfortable and everything we needed. We even got a change of towels and bedding which was a complete surprise and not expected. We would not hesitate to return or tell friends about this place. It was perfect for us. Thank you S and E for our enjoyable stay. Cheers and salute.

Beautiful!!

Loved our time here.! The studio apartment was absolutely spotless and our yard was so peaceful and private. The apartment was well stocked with all we needed and Stefano and Elisabetta we available for any questions or needs we had. They made us feel welcome and we left feeling we had new friends. Natasha also made us feel welcome and at home whenever she came with fresh linens etc. and she too is now a special friend. The near beaches were amazing for the surfing crowd and Miami Beach was only a 3 km walk away. A rental car is great at this location. It gets you easily to all the restaurants and action you might want and let’s you come home to your quiet, beautiful patio for a glass of wine as you listen to the songs of the tree frogs. The little pub, a 5 minute walk away, is wonderful! We met many great folks there. We do not hesitate to recommend this location for your Barbados vacation!!

Nice Studio in a Good Location

The Tropical Gecko is a nice, compact studio a block from the ocean. Close enough to hear the heavy surf but not too close to be overpowering. The bed is a queen and we spent a lot of time in it. Days in the sun and water make for excellent sleep. The kitchen is quite functional and between the fish market, green food stands and the Massey's market in Oistins we were able to cook nearly all of our meals in. This is important as dining costs in Barbados run to the high side. Stefano was very nice and lent us beach towels, chairs, a body board and snorkel set for the beach. There are four units in the building but we weren't disturbed at all by the other guests. Each unit faces a different direction so they are fairly private. Nearby Silver Sands beach is a good windsurfing and kite-boarding beach for experienced folks. Calmer waters are a short drive away. The neighborhood is quiet with the Surfers Bay bar just a block or so away. A car would be recommended and the island is easy to drive with Google Maps (local maps not so much).

Perfect appartment with beautiful garden

My partner and I spent two wonderful weeks at the Tropical Gecko Studio during the last week of September/ first week of October 2018 and we could not have been more happy with our accommodation. The studio offers everything you need and more - a well-equipped kitchenette with a big fridge, a bathroom with a big shower and hair dryer, the beautiful lush garden offering a lot of privacy, a shadowy terrace for relaxing hours in the hammock or on the cosy little bench, fresh towels and sheets every three to five days, and a tranquil atmosphere for a perfect holiday in paradise. For us the location of the appartment was fantastic, being situated in close proximity to Silver Sands and Rescue beach, where you can go for a walk, work on your tan, or just watch the mighty Atlantic. The Surfer's Bay beach bar and little shops are close by where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, water and beer, and the usual staples. We spent both weeks without having to rent a car because all major locations (Oistins, fish market, big supermarket, all beaches along the South coast, Bridgetown, etc.) are easily reachable with the local public busses leaving a 5-minutes walk away from the appartment. If this sounds like a hassle to you, we can assure you that the bus rides were literally one of the most fun things about our Barbados holiday because the 'reggae bus' experience is one of a kind ;) Lastly, we would like to thank and warmly recommend the owners Stefano and Elisabetta, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Both are incredibly welcoming hosts, who were always available if we had questions, asked for advice, or needed help with something, and kept the place in a spotless condition. They provided an extra set of beach towels and snorkeling equipment without any additional cost and for all water sports fans Stefano rents out equipment at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay so much and highly recommend this place to everyone who tries to find the perfect accommodation for their Barbados holiday. Whenever we will make it back to the island in the future, the Tropical Gecko Studio will be our #1 address !! Thank you for everything! Sending our warmest regards, Nora and Eric

Unforgettable !

Very nice apartment, perfect for our holiday. First impression: very clean( room, bathroom). The patio overlooking the garden, well mainteined.The kitchenette is well organized, you find all utensils for cooking (even the oven). Wi-fy works properly. The beach is only one minute walking from the apartment and you find there a nice bar to chill out or eat something. By walking you can even reach other beautiful beaches. Elisabetta and Stefano have been perfect ! They gave us a lot of advice on the island, the different beaches, the watersports ana what to visit in this beautiful, tropical island. For local trasportation , the bus stop n°11 is only three minutes from the apartment. by walk, and takes you to Bridgetown along the coast where there are other beaches. I would strongly recomend this apartment to a friend. I think next time I'll fly to Barbados, my place will be The Tropical Gecko Studio !!

Elisabetta e Stefano, perfetti padroni di casa

Piccolo e delizioso monolocale appena ultimato, perfettamente pulito e ordinato, esattamente rispondente alle foto pubblicate, con giardino e spazio verandato esterno dotato di tavolo ed amaca, perfetto per la colazione e i momenti di relax. A 200 mt dalla meravigliosa e selvaggia spiaggia di Silver Sand paradiso per kiters e windsurfers. A 200 mt dal Surfers Bay Bar dove si può pranzare cenare a prezzi modici in riva ad mare e godere del tramonto o della musica live un paio di sere a settimana. A 500 mt dalla fermata del bus che porta in 10 minuti alla città di Oistin in mezzora nella capitale Bridgetown lungo il percorso tutte le più belle spiagge attrezzate e facilmente balneabili. La fermata del bus è davanti al minimarket posto dove si trova lo stretto necessario. Queste info e tante altre turistiche e pratiche sono presenti nel book che Elisabetta e Stefano hanno predisposto per i loro clienti. Elisabetta e Stefano mi sono venuti incontro in ogni necessità relativa al soggiorno presso il loro studio, dandomi aiuto ed ottimi consigli anche per visitare l isola; perfetti nella loro ospitalità, posso dire con gioia di aver trovato due amici sinceri.

Highly recommended! We will probably be back :)

After extensive research I got in touch with Stefano, the Italian owner. I booked the "Tropical Gecko Studio" for 2 weeks directly through Stefano and wired the money to his Barbados Account. Felt a bit risky at but worked out perfectly! Everything was as promised when we arrived and I got a much better price, which saved me about 200 US$. The appartment is well maintained, clean, has all the utilities you need (incl. fast WiFi and a well equiped kitchen for a bit of cooking), offers a spacious patio with hammock and roof and an additional outside shower for a quick splash during hot days. We had quite a few questions during our stay and Stefano was always helpfull, be it personally, via E-Mail or WhatsApp. He helped us find a good surf school, get a rental car on short notice - which was even delivered to our door step, and generellay helped with a great amount of tips for the island. Thank you again Stefano - we had a great time! The appartment is in a quiet area with the beach and a beach bar/restaurant 2 min away. The next mini mart (small convenience store), which is also the closest bus stop, is a short 5 min walk away. We regularly used the mini buses to go to Bridgetown (just 2 BBD / 1 US$ per ride). The ride to the closest supermarket, Miami Beach and Oistins in Bridgetown take about 20min. The mini bus is a low-cost and convenient alternative to a rental, if you want to explore the South Coast. All in all we really enjoyed our stay a lot and we will probably come back to visit again!

A perfect base in a lovely location

The tropical gecko studio is one of two in a small property with its own pretty garden. We have stayed in both studios and felt very happy and comfortable in both. The studios are very well equipped and maintained to a high standard. There is wifi, which is a bonus. There is plenty of space to sit outside and relax at all times of the day under the shady verandah. The studios are safe and secure, with outdoor lights at night and security cameras. There is a beach bar just two minutes walk away, where you can just have a drink and listen to music, or have something to eat and watch the sun set over the sea. Lovely! The surrounding area is not over-developed and has a friendly, laid back feel to it. The owner, Stefano, is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He is always around to answer questions or to give advice if you need it. I have no hesitation in recommending this studio (and the other properties that Stefano and Elisabetta have) to anyone. We did not get to see the tropical gecko after whom the studio is named, but we have seen his picture. Maybe next time!

Perfect holiday!

We are back in Barbados for our 6th time and as usual the accomodation and our stay was absolutely perfect! We stayed at the Tropical Gecko Studio for the last 2 weeks of May, it is small but for 2 people is great, completely furnished with all amenities. The bed is very confortable, the location is good and the apartment is windy and fresh. The big garden is nice and very well maintained with a nice lawn and few gorgeus palms. Stefano and Elisabetta were very nice and accomodating for all our needs. Thank you very much and see you again next year!

Cute, clean and cozy

This was our third trip to Barbados and each time we have stayed in one of Stefano's studio apartments. First time in Tropical Gecko, and as usual we had a great week with no problems and were very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reputable, clean and safe place to stay on South Coast!

Fantastic

If you love the tropical palms and flowers this is the property to be! Because this is a property with a unique mediterranean style; it's managed from italian people with an experience of more than 20 years in the tourism industry. The apartments have mosquito-screens, safe, security bars and also the air conditioning with independent splits. There is a big parking space next the property.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Breeze place, very close to the ocean (70 meters), with a close bar and restaurant, bus stop and little grocery. Unique white thin sandy beaches around (Silver Sands, Rescue Beach, Silver Rock), no traffic at all, not too many constructions around. It's still a wild spot and place where you can even admire monkeys, parrots, hamming birds, whales and turtles.
