The Isle View Nest is a perfect holiday home for a couple wanting to be well located for exploring the Isle of Skye, but at the same time have a comfortable, stylish stay with a sea view to return to at the end of an active day.
It is situated right on the shore of the Inner Sound, with views across Broadford Bay towards the island of Pabay and the Applecross Peninsula beyond. It’s a perfect spot, and with such a large tidal range just outside the property, the view is constantly changing. When the tide is in, the water will be lapping the garden edge, but at low tide there’s a marvellous beach that goes from the garden for miles and miles.
The Isle View Nest is perfectly formed and a couple will love it, the cabin and has its own decking with furniture, just the spot where you can enjoy a bottle of wine. The sliding patio doors lead into the open plan living/dining room/kitchen. There’s comfortable seating, a nice little table and a very large, modern kitchen with all the appliances you will need. The 50” Smart TV is a bonus, too. But the real asset of this room is the wall of glass that allows an enormous amount of light to flood in, but also gives you the chance to simply watch this wonderful coastal scene change minute-by-minute. Beyond the living area is the double bedroom space, which is separated by a low wall, so The Isle View Nest is essentially a studio cabin. A walk-in shower is off of the bedroom.
The Isle View Nest is very well placed for couples wanting to explore all corners of Skye, with The Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing only 40 minutes away. Point Neist Lighthouse is 50 minutes, and the magnificent Cuillin is only 20 minutes away. Elgol and the Sleat Peninsula are also very close. Broadford has an excellent supermarket and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy after rushing around seeing the many things Skye has to offer. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
The Isle View Nest can be booked together with Isle View (28284) to accommodate up to 6 guests.

The Nest is a compact, but comfortable base for a holiday on Skye.
The Nest is a compact, but comfortable base for a holiday on Skye. Despite being on the main road, we didn't find it noisy. It is well equipped, but the outstanding feature is the view of the bay through the large picture window, with the high tide line just a few feet beyond the garden. There were often seals visible in the water, and one morning we saw an otter out on the rocks.
Perfect place to set up for a few days exploring the isle of Skye!
Lovely property - clean, quiet. Excellent location - about 30 to 45 mins to anything you might want to see on Skye. Comfy beds, nice hot water, beautiful views every morning and at sunset. Short walk to some food, gas station & coop close bye. No complaints - would absolutely stay again.
Had a great time. The photos of the views do not do it justice. It’s a basic tiny house with all the amenities you’ll need for two adults. Initially contacting owners was lengthy bc they are run through cottages.com. The instructions arrived on time and there was no problem checking in. Central to anywhere and away from the crowds. Lovely beach to walk with tidal pools and easy access. Even went for a swim. Would definitely return.
