Beautiful, spacious villa with private pool located in the village of Burgau.

After renting this house for five summers we loved it so much we bought it. We hope you enjoy the property as much as we do!

The ground floor offers a large open plan space featuring a fully equipped kitchen plus living and dining areas. The full length windows let you enjoy the morning sunshine while the beautiful dining area enjoys the softer, late evening sunshine. There is also a downstairs bathroom and shower room.

Upstairs are three generous double bedrooms, each with a balcony while the master bedroom has a large en-suite. There is a further family bathroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning.

Located on the end of a terrace, the property benefits from sunshine on three sides. The back of the house has a good seating area for the morning sunshine next to the pool which is bigger than most. A well kept garden on the west side of the property allows sun worshippers to enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine and is the ideal spot for that evening drink before wandering down to one of Burgau's many excellent restaurants.

The house is on the eastern side of the village as you enter from Luz. The beach is a 5 minute amble down the hill and the convenience store a 3 minute stroll. The cliff walks are easily accessed for spectacular walks east to Luz or west towards Salema.

Further afield, there are wonderful beaches each with their own beach bar selling glorious dishes of freshly caught fish. The western points of Sagres and Cap St Vincent are an easy 20 minute drive with the internationally acclaimed surf along the western coast.

To the north, the historic villages of Monchique and Silves and Lagos to the west provide historians with miles of cobbled streets to wander.

The spacious accommodation provides a very comfortable base from which to enjoy this quiet, but spectacular corner of mainland Europe and all its alluring charms.

Great holiday in Burgau

The villa was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the pool and the easy walk through Burgau down to the beach. As well as Burgau, we visited Luz, Lagos and Sagres. The restaurants and cafés in Burgau were a real highlight, as well as the lovely beach. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful Modern Villa

The Villa is very nice, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable extended vacation. The town of Burgau is very quaint and has many restaurants that are only a short walk away. The beach is very close and a great place to spend the day.

Lovely quiet village. Beautiful villa. Some building work opposite but didn’t bother us too much. Dreadful wildfires meant some problems with ash but that couldn’t be helped. Pool was cleaned promptly when we asked. Very relaxing stay. Uber to nearby towns very handy.

Great, roomy accommodations, very well appointed in a fantastic location.

Lovely hosts & property manager provided a very warm welcome & made us feel instantly at home. Huge bonus were the balconies, outside area & BBQ which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely stay again! Superb!

The location, the home, and the friendly residence of Burgau made our stay memorable. The home was very clean, the kitchen was great lots of utencils, pots and pans and we even used the barbecue. Looking forward to returning one day.

Lovely home

The location is in a small village and depending on the time of year, not all businesses were open. Would be perfect if it had ocean view. There is alot of new development in the area, but this is happening all over portugal. The home had everything you need and very roomy.

We had a lovely stay, the house is so spacious and we loved the pool. Tunde was incredibly helpful with information. Great location to the village and we did a day trip to Lagos on the local bus. A boat trip to see the caves was a highlight. Would highly recommend. Maybe time for a topper to add comfort the master bedroom mattress but that didn't stop us from having a great stay.

Very spacious villa in lovely village

Burgau was a delight. Reminded me of other Algarve resorts before they became too commercialised. Would definitely return to the area. The villa itself was really clean and spacious inside and outside, and just a short walk to restaurants and the beach. Unlike other guests apparently, we were not aware before we arrived of the building work happening just behind the villa as the photos (even the aerial photo on the directions) did not suggest anything. This was noisy and dusty and prevented us from making use of the pool area which was disappointing. On the plus side we made good use of the beach and explored the local area especially Lagos in the evening.

Très belle maison très bien agencée avec tout ce qu il faut pour passer un excellent séjour. Proche de la plage , avec un super petit village . On a adoré et les hôtes répondent rapidement par mail . Sur place il y a aussi quelqu un si besoin.

Magnifique villa dans un village au top !

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances dans la villa girassol a Burgau. La villa est spacieuse, propre. Tout le nécessaire est présent pour ne manquer de rien. Nos enfants ont apprécié la piscine et la proximité de la plage à 10mn à pied. Et que dire de Burgau ! Tres beau petit village et tous les commerces. Et de nombreux petits restaurants meilleurs les uns que les autres. Nous etions deja venu en algarve sans connaitre Burgau. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr à Burgau et bien sûr à la Casa Girassol.

Das Haus ist innen gut aufgeteilt und auch schön. Es war alles sauber,die Pfannen in der Küche müssten dringend erneuert werden. Der Außenbereich war leider etwas vernachlässigt und der Pool war am Anreisetag leider nicht gereinigt. Leider gibt es direkt nebenan ein sehr große Baustelle,die sehr viel Lärm und Schmutz verursacht hat,was unseren Aufenthalt doch ziemlich beeinträchtigt hat. Das Haus liegt an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße,zum Glück war es nachts wenigstens ruhig,bis um 8 Uhr der Baulärm begann! Wir würden das Haus nicht mehr wählen,obwohl Burgau ein netter Ort ist.

Fantastic house

A spacious and modern house with everything you need. Plenty of room for two adults, two teenagers and a 11 year old. Short walk to the beach and everything else you need in Burgau. Other beaches and villages are easy to access with car. We arrived late and an extra plus for the breakfast provided in the fridge. Highly recommended!

We are from Scotland. We purchased the property in 2020 after staying in the property for five years and in the village for two further years.

We have twins who are now aged 22 and who still want to come on holiday with us because they love the village, the people, the restaurants and the beaches just as much as we do.

The property is an excellent size for a party of six.

The village is small so any property in the village is easy walking distance to the beach, the bars and the restaurants. Being on the edge of the village means the property has countryside views and is not overlooked.

The outside space is fabulous for sun worshippers. Being the end-terrace, the garden wraps around the property on the east, south and west sides meaning whatever time of day it is you can enjoy the sunshine. The pool is a good size being more than just a plunge pool and allows guests to cool off whenever the heat demands.

There are tables on the east and the west side of the property for outdoor meals and drinks and six sun loungers on which to unwind.

The ground floor is open plan but with three very clear areas for cooking, dining and relaxing. Full length sliding doors on the east and west sides mean the property is fabulously bright, but the south facing wall ensures the property doesn't over heat.

The three bedrooms are large with enough cupboard space to live full time! Each bedroom has a balcony on which to enjoy a quiet moment away from everyone.
