Casa Sole, is part of the colored cluster of houses set into the hillside above the sea, which appears in all the photos of Positano. When you step onto the beautiful terraces, you will find yourself with a ´front-row seat´ from which to view the panoramic view of the sea and Positano. It is a characteristic and welcoming independent, newly refurbished, one bedroom, air conditioned apartment. It has a porch and a terrace with spectacular views. Located on the second floor of an ancient building, it is reached from the main road (Via G. Marconi) by climbing 54 steps. Entrance is directly into a spacious and bright dining / living room with double sofa bed and doors onto the private furnished porch with enchanting views of Positano and the sea. Positano´s tightly packed Moorish style houses start their dramatically steep climb from the blue bay, then ascend ever more sharply, below and opposite you. Above you are rugged cliffs and hillsides with clinging patches of green - a striking view never to be forgotten. At night, an alfresco dinner aloft, with hundreds of shimmering lights as your audience. Positano isn´t quite real when you are there .. said John Steinbeck. A maze of narrow streets and steep staircases lead to terraces festooned with flowers and lanes flanked with bars and small shops. The small kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, electric oven, small fridge. Elegant double bedroom has en-suite shower room and doors onto a balcony with sea views. Separate shower room, a sea view furnished terrace with barbecue, washing machine. You will not need a car while staying at Casa Sole, the Flavio Gioia bus stop - Interno Positano line is a few meters away as well as the main Bus stop from where buses connect to all the Amalfi Coast villages as well as Sorrento. If you do decide to hire a car, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces and time of year) or in a private parking lot downtown where a space can be reserved. We had a lovely time at Casa Sole. The apartment is very comfortable and was great for our family of four. Internet was fast and the location is central with lots of small shops nearby.

This may be the hidden gem in Positano!! Has to be one of the best views! The balcony, outdoor table and kitchen area was spectacular. Teresa (the host) was fantastic, she even had a little gift waiting for us. Indoors was clean but with the view from the balcony why would you want to stay inside.
Teresa treats you as family. Great communication, the house was very clean and confortable and easy access to the bus. You are near the beach, boat excursions and restaurants, alot of steps down, but for the faint of heart, take the bus. Beauty area!
We had a wonderful time at this place. Teresa was gracious and an excellent communicator, the views were INCREDIBLE and the location was perfect. We will be back.
Casa Sole is a magnificent property in a great location. Very easy access to the beach and shopping areas in Positano.
The apartment was clean and beautiful and Teresa is an amazing host. If I am able to return to Positano, I will definitely stay here again.

What an amazing time we had in Positano! Teresa is just a doll. She greeted us upon check in with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. She checked in with us to ensure we had all we needed, and came to say goodbye when we left. What a superb host! The villa is perfectly situated with no better views in all of Positano. We cooked breakfast in the well stocked kitchen and ate on the outdoor patio overlooking beautiful Positano. There are two bathrooms/showers, a washing machine (which was a savior at the end of our two week trip) and another beautiful balcony/view from the main bedroom. Very comfortable. Couldn’t recommend it more! Thank you, Teresa. We will be back!
We had an absolutely fabulous time staying at Teresa’s beautiful home in Positano! The house was stunning - spacious, clean, and had the most breathtaking views of the town and sea. Waking up to that view and enjoying our coffees every morning was unforgettable. Teresa was incredibly kind, responsive, and made everything so easy for us from check-in to check-out. Her thoughtful touches and helpful communication really made our stay stress-free and perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to experience the magic of Positano. Highly recommend staying here - you’ll fall in love just like we did!
The apartment and its location are fantastic. The views from the multiple patios and the kitchen are spectacular. I can't imagine that there is a better property for rental in Positano and Teresa was super helpful in arranging the stay.

thanks Robert and your beautiful family for being here I hope to see you again soon!
This place has the most spectacular view of all of Positano! There is great outdoor space to sit and take in the view with both sun and shade. The property is very clean and has the most adorable kitchen area. It's a short walk down to the beach and an easy bus ride back up. Teresa is an amazing host and was very responsive and made sure we were enjoying out stay. I highly recommend this wonderful place!
We have a wonderful stay at Casa Sole. Unfortunately it was not long enough. Theresa was very responsive at check in as well as when we had any other question. The view was spectacular. We did a quite a bit of walking but it was all well worth it.
Stayed here for two nights with my husband and 13 year old nephew. The location was beautiful and easy to access off the main road into/out of town towards Sorrento. Easily walked to town and beach many times during our stay. We learned to take the local bus back (there is a stop near the property) when we were tired. Highly recommend this gorgeous, awe-inspiring location and property. Thank you for the great stay!
We had a rental car and there were some communication problems just with the language barrier. Stopping to unload luggage anywhere in Positano is stressful and so is parking
The property was absolutely lovely. The outside space was definitely our favorite - spacious, partly covered, and the best view of the town and coastline just below us. Theresa was wonderful and so helpful with providing local tips. Everything about the property was wonderful. Our only note of concern was the location of the stairs to get to the property. The stairs up to the property are located right at the curve of the road, which can make it tough to see to cross. It was doable, and locals are used to seeing people on the sides of the roads walking, so we didn't have any incidents. Just made us nervous at first. This is not something that would deter me from staying there at all because the property is absolutely lovely with spectacular views. Just a heads up!
Best host! Communicates well, easy check-in and it really is the best view. If we weren’t on the beach we were on our balcony. It’s incredible! Close to a great mini-market for food. Steps up to the apartment from the street is not hard at all. It’s on the second floor. AC works wonderful. We have nothing but good things to say!
Positano is all about the view. This apartment has that and more. The apartment was spacious and clean. The two terraces overlook the town, beach and bay below. We had all the amenities you would want. Our host was fantastic. We arrived late in the evening worn out from a long day of travel. Our host ordered delivery pizza and beverages for us at her suggestion. She is very responsive and can assist with restaurants or car services. You will enjoy this great apartment on your visit to Positano.

The views from Casa Sole are amazing! We stayed 6 nights and had a great experience. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. There are 3 markets within a short walk. Teresa was a great host who helped us line up transportation to Sorrento and Napoli. She welcomed us, although we arrived early for check in, with a bottle of Prosecco. I note a few things: there are hair dryers provided; it is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach but it is down approximately 200 stairs; there is a local bus to take you back to the apartment though (or take the stairs!); and bring water shoes if you plan to go to the beach. We would absolutely stay here again!!
We completely enjoyed our stay at Casa Sole! Views from the casa are breathtaking and with two outdoor terraces we rarely had a reason to go indoors. The kitchen off the terrace was well appointed with everything we needed and we were able to get food/beverage supplies delivered to us from one of the local markets. This home has all the charm you would expect in a typical Italian home plus updated bathrooms. It was both clean and very comfortable. The walk down to the beach is about 10 minutes and you can take the local bus to get back to the house. Bus tickets can be purchased across from the bus stop at the tobacco shop and we would just show the bus drivers a picture of our bus stop and they would let us know if we were on the right bus and make sure we got off at our stop. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful! Our host Teresa was wonderful. We never had a problem getting a hold of her and she was incredibly helpful including with dragging our suitcases up the stairs to the door. The roads in Positano are narrow and shared by cars, scooters, and pedestrians alike but you get used to it very quickly and we felt safe walking the roads. I say this because when you leave the house you are walking down a flight of stairs, through a gate and directly onto the street below. Again, this is standard for Positano living and everyone watches out for each other on the roads. We would come back to this house in a heartbeat and hope to do so in the future.
The Bad: This where I usually list some of the negatives. I am really going to have to reach since there were so few.
1) If you drive in I strongly recommend you see about booking parking at a lot in town. It was funny, we almost drove by the location, Google maps identified it but we did not see the stairs and nearly kept going. We parked illegally the first night but moved to a parking place in town since it made me uneasy.
The Good:
1) The View! What a view. I rented it based on the view I saw and it was not misleading. The view is awesome. For winter we had nice weather and sitting out on the porches (yes porches in plural!) was really cool.
2) The rooms. I could rave about the rooms. Very clean, very nice, bedding impeccable. In the top 10 rooms I have ever stayed in.
3) Once we found it the location is actually very nice. Close to the town loop road and it was fun to walk that end to end. We were off-season but the Christmas decorations were awesome as was the Positano Creche setup (not to be missed!).
4) Teresa was super helpful on getting us to our location and throughout the stay, asking us if we needed anything. Since we adn the rooms needed absolutely nothing I can't judge any response but my guess is any issues would be addressed quickly.
Overall, it was a great experience. I would love to come back and spend more time next time, the whole visit was just a really great time.
Our host was very attentive to any requests. The villa was beautiful with a large balcony overlooking the view. We loved the position although the many many steps were a little challenging. There is a bus if you don’t want to walk the steps though. This is a fantastic property and we would go there again.
Loved this apartment! Teresa is so sweet and energetic. I loved the fact that she had leftover sunscreen, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, olive oil, spices and a nice bottle of wine chilled in the refrigerator. So often, when renters leave, everything gets removed. The view was magical!
The check-in process was a little hectic due to internet connectivity. Teresa was communicating via the VRBO app, which isn't the best app, phone, email and text messaging. She asked me to use WhatsApp, which is commonly used in Europe, not as much in the US. I didn't want to get another social media platform just to communicate. I found myself jumping between platforms to get directions and check-in. One single email with all details of address, bus/porter would have been nice.
All in all, fantastic!
