Perfect for intergenerational groups, celebrations and reunions of family and friends.Set within their own 5-acre grounds, these two adjoining holiday properties are just across the road from Ashdown Forest, within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an ideal year-round getaway for groups of up to 16.

The rooms have glorious garden views or far reaching views of rolling hills and the South Downs.

The property backs onto 5 acre gardens including a woodland and duck pond (unfenced).

What a wonderful house! I was there with family celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and it was perfect. The perfect house for a large family celebration, would definitely book again.

Family wkend away

What a great place to stay, the house itself is amazing, so well stocked with everything you could need. Rooms were all very comfortable, lots of bathrooms / en-suites and decorated tastefully. Garden was exceptional, lots of space for the kids to run about, small wooded areas and a little pond with a swing next to it Liesha was so helpful with a few questions we had. Would highly recommend it.

Great for a family get together

Fantastic property in splendid grounds. Well appointed kitchen. Great for a big family meal inside and out. A variety of good spaces to sit in. Location on an A road but set far enough back so not a problem for us. Liesha our host was helpful throughout.

Serene and a pub across the road!

Where do I begin!? It was perfect. The pictures online are beautiful but we were blown away after seeing the home in person. This was exactly what we needed to host our family. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay there forever! Liesha was able to accommodate early check in and was extremely responsive to questions asked over the chat feature.

Large accommodation for ideal family get-together

Large modern property in a beautiful location with stunning views across the garden and countryside to the south downs. We saw foxes running across the grounds and a heron visiting the pond. Great flexibility of accommodation with twin and double bedrooms, dining areas and TV and sitting areas, enabling all of us to be together but could also break off into smaller groups when preferred. Well equipped kitchen with good appliances. Plenty of parking. Slightly disappointed at some of the building's finishes. Doors to ensuites not closing easily as catching the floor, shower doors not sliding smoothly, shower not working fully, garden areas could be better attended (although do appreciate the appalling weather that has restricted gardening) Overall, very pleased with our stay and gave us a lovely experience for our family get-together.

Wonderfull quiet and fully equiped holiday house with an enclosed garden.

We wanted to stay in the heart of the garden of Engeland. This holiday house was a perfect place to visit all nice spots we had in mind. After opening the gate along a busy road you enter a different world. We enjoyed the view on the garden and everything was there to have a pleasant stay!

Lovely cottage

Our stay came with a warm welcome from Leisha. The cottage was very comfortable with excellent access to the large private walled garden. Everything provided that was needed. Will definitely book again.

High standard accommodation

The apartment is beautifully designed, warm, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a particularly impressive! Our only issue is that the picture of the garden is of the owners garden. Please note this is not for the residents to use. However we did have a lovely walled orchard to play in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Ein wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil als super Ausgangspunkt für schöne Ausflüge in der Gegend

Das Cottage ist wunderschön eingerichtet mit allem was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die sehr nette Vermieterin Liesha war immer mit guten Tips und Hilfsbereitschaft zur Stelle. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend sind vom Cottage super zu erreichen, z.B. die Gärten und Landhäuser von Nymans, Standen, Sheffield, ebenso wie Brighton oder die Küste. Mit unseren Hunden haben wir außerdem die traumhaften Spaziergänge im gegenüberliegenden Wald genossen.

prima cottage

We hebben een leuke vakantie gehad. We hadden het geluk dat we 2 weken prachtig weer hadden en we veel weg waren. Want de A26 is toch wel een hele drukke weg. Dus rustig in de tuin zitten is er niet bij. In het huisje geen last van het verkeerslawaai. Het is comfortabel ingericht. Misschien wel een tip om in de slaapkamer met de losse bedden een kastje met planken of laden te plaatsen. Er is nu geen ruimte om ondergoed en truitjes etc. te leggen. De badkamer heeft een heerlijke regendouche en zachte handdoeken. De keuken inventaris is ook compleet. De verhuurster Liesha is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dit huisje is een goede uitvalbasis voor mooie trips. Veel tuinen en kastelen gezien, b.v. Leeds Castle, Penshurst en Borde Hill. Ook de plaatsen Brighton, Eastbourne en Alfriston zijn een aanrader. En niet te vergeten de Cliffs, The Seven Sisters en Beachy Head. Kortom te veel om op te noemen.

Tucked away and charming.

This is a very well presented and charming cottage.It has a delightful aspect,and is close to a reasonable pub and the Forest.We had a few hours spent in the pub,food is ok but not the best pub food I have tasted.We walked in the forest with two small children ,and that was a highlight ! The only downside is the proximity to a very busy road.This does not affect the noise level, but means with small children one should be vigilant. The owner is kind and concerned ,to make ones stay as pleasant as possible,and I would recommend it to friends for a short stay.

Outstanding!

What a beautiful cottage this is. It is extremely clean and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. We took our 14 year old daughter and her friend plus our dog and had a fantastic time. The location is excellent for walking in Ashdown Forest, which is just across the A26 - our dog loved the expanse to explore! I would definitely recommend the pub over the road - excellent food choice. The cottage has a beautiful garden and is secluded away so there is no noise. We would definitely recommend this cottage - the owner was extremely helpful and polite. thanks for a wonderful time!

Charmantes Häuschen mit großem Garten

Ein wunderschönes kleines Haus mit netten Details und großem Garten zur Eigennutzung. Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist sehr bemüht! Lage zur Erkundung mit dem Auto von Kent und East Sussex ideal. Jederzeit wieder!

Wonderful Setting

A lovely cottage set behind a private entrance. The cottage has a large private garden behind a brick wall. Although on the A26 I was not bothered by any traffic noise, I am sure the brick wall and trees help reduce any noise. The layout of the cottage is very nice and large fluffy bath towels are provided. The washer & dryer are within the rental itself and a nice change from having to walk to a utility room as I have experienced at other rentals. My only issue was with the beds. Mine seemed to slat to one side and the person in the double room found the bed to be lumpy. I think new mattresses are called for. Otherwise a great location to tour East Sussex and Kent, and I would certainly stay again so can highly recommended Poundgate Park Cottage. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 due to the beds.
