The perfect family getaway!

This is a real gem! We had a wonderful stay here - large group of adults and children. Beautiful house with large open spaces and large bedrooms so lots of options depending on your group size. The grounds are perfect with tennis courts. We went out of season so unfortunately the pool was closed but this would have been the icing on the cake. We enjoyed a lovely walk to the national trust (approx 25 mins each way) and eating in the local pubs. Would definitely recommend to others! The only minor point was that we booked the silent disco which was an additional cost (quite pricey on top of the booking) and the equipment was slightly outdated so it took us a while to find the correct plug point. I'm sure others may not have had the correct one with them.

An amazing property. Well thought out. Everything you would need. Kitchen well stocked. Very comfortable en-suite large bedrooms. Everything was perfect. John caretaker is at the end of the phone if required. Loved the tennis court and the children loved the pool and the pool house has everything. We also played table tennis inside when it was raining!We were sad to leave.We can highly recommend Finchcocks Oast.

Great venue

The property was very attractive and comfortable. The all en suite bedrooms were large and comfortable. The large living area and huge kitchen were excellent as was the balcony. The pool was superb with perfect temperature and the BBQs clean and well equipped. Beautiful peaceful surroundings. Great holiday location for groups large or small

Excellent property

Property is excellent for large groups. Every need is catered for - everything we needed was available for hosting a large group. Cleanliness was exceptional. Facilities were amazing. This time rented for some team days away and we a perfect location, size and venue for our needs. We will be returning.

Joint 60th birthday celebration

This property was perfect for our gathering of 7 couples for a joint 60th birthday party. The massive kitchen was a big hit and everyone was impressed with their huge bedrooms with en-suites. We had a local caterer serve us a sit-down dinner on the Saturday - everyone dressed up and had a great time! We're already talking about coming back in the summer months when the pool is open :)

Great Holiday

Superlatives a plenty. Just a great place to chill. Relax and spend a few days with good company. So much space for all to enjoy. Very helpful to us as always is site manager John. Our third year. Looking forward to our fourth. We danced, acted and sang every day. Even performed play. Fun fun fun in comfort.

Amazing!

I stayed for my hen weekend and the whole group said how amazing the stay was! The whole house and grounds were finished to an excellent standard, it really had everything we needed. We were so lucky with the weather and we’re able to make full use of the facilities. We also did not realise how beautiful the location was and we all enjoyed going for walks outside the property - the views were breathtaking! We would recommend this to anyone. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful in every way possible. Thank you for making my hen weekend an unforgettable stay!

Group holiday for life long friends

We were a group of older people and booked Finchcocks as it accommodated the facilities we were looking for. The group required Ensuite Bathrooms with Walk in showers, which we all had, in addition to baths for those few still able to negoiate them. The house is in a beautiful position on a private estate. With heated outdoor swimming pool, in a secluded area which was accompanied by a pool house, housing a good selection of loungers, chairs and pool accessories. There was also a nice Tennis court along with rackets and balls. The house was very spacious, with a large kitchen, which was well stocked with endless crockery, glasses and cooking utensils. Everything we required. Also plenty of storage facilities including 3 fridges and 2 freezers. The bedrooms were huge and bedding was very good. White towels in the bathrooms with a small supply of soap attached to the walls in shower and basins. There was plenty of seating around the house and a lovely balcony with two tables and chairs. Overall a well organised and spacious house, ideal for larger gatherings. The living area is upstairs, but thankfully the stair case wasn’t too steep and had rails each side. Care is required along the downstairs hallway to the bedrooms. There is a step where the tiles end and the carpet begins. As there is no natural light in this area it is easy to miss seeing this change in levels. We all enjoyed our stay at Finchcocks and hope to return next year.

Just wow!!

What a beautiful house, they have thought of everything. Stayed here with a group of friends, to wake to the sound of nothing but bird song...then had a pool party in the heated pool, barbeque on the veranda over looking the country side, to leisurely stroll through the lanes to scotney castle...plenty of places a car drive away...just the perfect place to get together, we didnt want to leave. And a shout out to John the house manager who was on hand if we needed him.

A family gathering for a birthday celebration

Finchcocks Oast provided our family with excellent accommodation and facilities for a birthday celebration. There were 19 of us with an age range of 8 - 80 and the space was ideal for us all. Having the pool available was a huge asset despite the chilly weather and everyone having their own bathroom meant people could quickly shower after a chilly swim. There is much to see in the area and we all walked to Scotney Castle which was delightful. Highly recommended! Thanks to the owners and the staff.

Fantastic Oast perfect for a big group

The first floor is stunning and the pictures don’t do it enough justice. The only way to appreciate this fantastic house is to stay in it with lots of friends!

The perfect Hen Weekend

22 of us stayed in this beautiful property for a weekend to celebrate a hen party. John was incredibly accommodating, we travelled from the midlands and he was able to meet a few of the party early to allow access, he was very thorough with instruction and details, he was on hand for everything we needed all weekend and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation itself was beautifully kept, very clean and had everything you would need for the entire weekend. Compromising of 9 beautifully furnished and decorated large bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, this really was a girly weekend essential - no arguing over bathrooms, perfect!! Although there was 22 of us, we didn't feel crowded or cramped, there was plenty of space for us all. Set in beautiful grounds with lovely scenery surrounding, this made for the perfect weekend away. Would definitely recommend!

A fantastic party house

Had the most wonderful few days celebrating my 50th birthday. The house was amazing. Plenty of space for our guests. A real party house. The pool was a pleasant temperature although a little tired looking. The glassware needs updating, ie larger wine & gin glasses. The house needs a deep clean & the bathrooms need new mastic in the showers. Just a bit of feedback not a complaint to make perfection!

What a fantastic venue

We are a group of 14 who have known each other since forever. Our mission each year is to find luxurious accommodation for our annual holiday and this year Finchcocks Oast became our destination. Wow, this venue is fantastic and John, who was our meet and greet representative was very professional and informative about the property and the local area. The house is clearly designed to cater for large numbers but given we totalled just 14 the house certainly isn't intimidating and felt extremely comfortable. The great weather enabled us to take full advantage of the pool, tennis court and bbq. To be honest, we would have been more than happy to lounge around the house and grounds the entire week, but we managed to haul ourselves away each morning to scratch the surface of the many sights within easy reach of the house. Can't recommend this venue highly enough. We've already booked for 2024! Great job!!

Fantastic group stay for boyfriends 30th

Arranged this stay as a surprise for my boyfriends 30th with a group of 22 friends. Everyone had the most amazing time and were very impressed by the house. I couldn't recommend Finchcocks Oast enough! When looking for houses to host a large group, something that I really struggled with was a space for a large group to gather in - Finchcocks is perfect for this. The kitchen and living space are so big and there were no issues at all with space. Bedrooms are a nice size, well decorated.

Our group of 20 on a tour of Susses Vineyards were delighted to discover Finchcocks Oast - brilliant

The space was ideal for us and the accommodation and services just perfect. We genuinely lived as a family of 20 for three days, cooking in the excellent and spacious kitchen, all dining together and the bedrooms worked perfectly for the combination of couples and singles on tour. The service we got from Blooms (both in the booking process and on site) could not have been better.

Quiet luxury

Booked 14 or 15 months before our stay the only 4 summer nights available for a family party of nineteen, including children. The place is extremely spacious , comfortable and very well equipped for parties bigger than ours The pool is great, and the tennis court. It is a quiet location. There was something of a heatwave but the interior did not heat up as much as it would have had the windows not been so small (a planning requirement for this historic listed building) We would be happy to come again
