The flat is located in the Sixth District of Paris in an 17th century building on the Seine which has been completely restored. The building was originally a private family mansion. Even today it is maintained in much the same manner by my family and the only two other couples who share the building. This arrangement makes the building very quiet,secure and private. allowing antiques and engraving to line the circular stairway.

My flat is located on the third floor. There are approximately 70 steps with three landings spiraling up from the court yard with antiques and engraving lining the circular stairwell. There is no elevator.

There are 90 square meters of living space featuring two bedrooms, a comfortable bathroom, a large living and dining area and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. All the windows in the flat have a view of St. Chapelle, but just off the living room is a writing desk with a view of the Palais de Justice and St. Chapelle looking out across the Seine.

The flat is sunny and bright with modern and antique furnishing throughout including the original hand made brick floor, original oak ceiling beams and restored linen covered walls. It has been newly decorated throughout with 18th and 19th century prints and modern double paned windows in a style to mimic the original windows and which eliminate the occasional street noise.

The master bedroom has a comfortable 160 cm bed (larger than a queen-size bed), the room is warm and welcoming and except for the wall mounted TV is furnished with period pieces and paintings, all accented by soft lighting.

The 2nd bedroom, has a queen size bed which converts into 2 twin beds and looks down into the courtyard and out over the river.

The bathroom has a teak and glass shower, warm wooden floor, wall mounted toilet and stone sink for easy cleaning and in additional to the mirror above the sink, a full length mirror. The bathroom walls are covered with elegant and striking hand made tiles from the south of France.

The building is located on a very quiet, safe little street which pours a few feet away offering views in one direction of the Louvre and the other Notre Dame. It is a pleasant walk to many famous destinations such as Notre Dame, The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Quartier Latin, Saint Sulpice Church, Jardin du Luxembourg, Musée d’Orsay, Invalides, Concorde, Madeleine, Grand Palais, Champs Elysées - and of course the walking paths along the Seine River going toward Jardin de Plants and the Natural History Museum and Zoo.

It is in very close proximity to two main subway stations: Saint Michel and Odeon which also provide direct access by rail to Versailles , Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. Numerous bus lines can be found nearly to take you conveniently all over Paris.

You can call all over France and certain other countries for free (except for cell phones [any number starting with 06 in France] and numbers starting with 08 for which there is a charge) from the telephone in the apartment, and there is a WIFI connection if you are traveling with your computer

I want to share my apartment with people who will love and cherish it as much as I do. I live with my family here in this apartment during the year and I rent it during some vacations. So you will really feel at home!

For a confirmed reservation, I require the payment of 50% of the rental fee by wire transfer. I also need the day of arrival 500 Euros as deposit refundable the day of departure.

This is a non smoking apartment and no pets are allowed.

Awesome location, quiet and very comfortable apartment.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay for us. Very quiet yet centrally located. The beds were extremely comfortable and the full size kitchen allowed us to have dinner in a few nights. We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in Paris.

Fabulous location and great host

We so enjoyed our stay at Delphine's place. The location is amazing. It's close to so many wonderful neighborhoods in Paris. The home is warm and cozy and very comfortable (especially in the cold fall/winter in Paris). The stairs have not been an issue and actually provide great daily exercise as does all of the walking around the city. And, importantly for us, we've found Delphine to be a true pleasure to work with. She's responsive, honest, helpful and made us feel very welcome! We would happily return.

This place is very special!

We divided our stay in Paris into two parts, first a Right Bank small hotel and then Left Bank this apartment. Both fabulous and couldn't be more different. This is old Paris, and real, and marvelous. Probably the most perfect location in Paris. Delphine was so helpful, great throughout in communication, especially when an Air France strike threatened our trip home, and Alexandre who did our pre-shopping and who let us in was delightful. Know that it's not new and it's not *hotel* glamorous; if that's what you want look elsewhere. But this is much better than that. Beds are very comfortable. Delphine is wonderful about having someone meet you with supplies, but be specific with your needs. We forgot to say paper towels and bath soap, but everything we did ask for was there and just right. Do yourself a favor and come. The stairs are fine! We'll definitely be back.

Yes, the location is perfect & the building is quiet & the owner, Delphine, was always responsive (as were her helpers Jerome & Thomas), but so much needs to be attended to in the apartment! There was no instruction book to let us know how things worked. The shower drain was so clogged that it overflowed; the toilet plunger fixed it. The shower head did not work properly in the overhead position, only when hand-held. The bathroom sink, too, had drainage problems & the faucet handle was loose, so leaked. The lamps in one of the bedrooms had problems: the switch was broken in one & I had to crawl under a table to plug it in or out. Worse was a wall sconce with shaky current; when I rattled it a little, hoping to get it to work better, it fell from the wall (it was suspended by only a single small nail). The power failed in the other bedroom, but we didn't know where the fuse box was located so couldn't fix it till the next day when I called Delphine. (Again, an information notebook is crucial.) The supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher & laundry soap was minimal (stingy); we were expected, I guess, to buy our own beyond the little bit supplied at the beginning of our weeklong stay (though I called the helpers & they brought a little bit more). No dish towels were supplied.

I expect that Delphine will heed my complaints, which I conveyed to her in the course of our stay, & I hope that the next renters will have a more carefree experience.

Terrific location!

This flat is right where we wanted to stay while in Paris for 4 days in August. Our family of 4 felt safe and the surrounding neighborhood soon became familiar and had so much to see and do. We had no problems letting our teenage kids wander the neighborhood without us. The stop for the Big Bus (hop on and off) is very close, as is the Metro station. Upon arrival via the train from London, we took the Metro and walked to the flat with luggage. It was very easy! We walked to the Louvre and other nearby sights. Thank you for the stay!

Cute apartment in the middle of everything!

We loved this 2 bedroom apartment. It was only a block from St. Michel metro station and also an easy walk to many different sights and restaurants. You can't beat this location! After reading previous reviews and seeing that there would be a lot of steps to climb, I decided to pack lighter and take advantage of the washing machine in the apartment! The steps really weren't an issue. The apartment did not have air conditioning, but there were 3 fans and large windows that provided a good breeze. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay here again.
